Omar, Tlaib welcome decision ruling US terror watchlist unconstitutional
A federal judge ruled that the inclusion in the list infringes upon the right to due process.

Story continues below advertisementUS Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has expressed her appreciation after a US federal judge ruled that an FBI terror watchlist was unconstitutional.
“I have heard of horrifying stories of Muslim Americans who were placed on the so-called ‘watch list,’ with no pathway (you know, due process!) to getting their names removed. Today, it’s Muslims, but tomorrow it can be you, if we don’t stop this madness,” Tlaib, a Muslim-American of Palestinian descent, tweeted on Thursday.
Also US Representative Ilhan Omar, who arrived in the US as a refugee from Somalia as a child, called the decision “tremendous.”
“Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to make sure Constitutional rights are extended to all regardless of religion, race or ethnicity!” she added on Twitter.
Judge Anthony J. Trenga of the Eastern District of Virginia ruled in favor of 23 Muslim Americans who were included in the list, the Washington Post reported.
They had sued the FBI on the ground that the inclusion infringed upon their constitutional right to due process.
Those included on the list have restrictions placed on their ability to travel, among others.
“There is no evidence, or contention, that any of these plaintiffs satisfy the definition of a ‘known terrorist,'” wrote Trenga, according to the Washington Post.
“An individual’s placement into the [watch list] does not require any evidence that the person engaged in criminal activity, committed a crime, or will commit a crime in the future,” the judge added, “and individuals who have been acquitted of a terrorism-related crime may still be listed.”
The list included about 1.2 million people, including 4,600 US citizens or residents as of July 2017.
According to the Associated Press, the FBI’s lawyers claimed in court that the challenges alleged by the plaintiffs were overshadowed by the government’s needs in their fight against terror – and that these efforts outweighed the difficulties alleged by the nearly two dozen Muslim American citizens on the list.
Several of them reported a range of traumatic experiences, such as being handcuffed and interrogated for many hours, without possible cause.
The Washington Post reported that the parties now have 45 days to submit their arguments and responses for how the watch list could be changed.

We need a strongman to deal with Muslims. You give them an inch, they’ll take over your land and wipe you out. I bet 20-40 years from now, if Muslims get more power in western nations, everyone will be regretting ever letting them in. I suspect we’ll probably be facing civil war at that point.
If you want a taste of what’s to come, move to London England, where they have daily knife-attacks and the London mayor Sadiq Khan has devoted 1,000 police officers to monitoring ‘hate speech’ against Muslims rather than deal with innocents being killed.
That’s only scratching the surface, Muslims (who’ve become mayors or got other high positions) have funneled billions of dollars of taxpayer money to mosques and their own ‘charities’ many which are fronts for terrorist organizations. This is a very tenacious enemy that’s always one step ahead of the trusting stupid infidels.

@SBO; I hope and pray fervently the day you speak of never materializes. It “scares” me that looking at the world, Right is now considered WRONG and Wrong is now considered RIGHT! What a discombobulated way of perception of reality.
Otherwise, as I was taught:
* Question everything – PROVE the intentions of those who are speaking.
* Live for PEACE – but be PREPARED for WAR.
I hope and pray my children and grandchildren NEVER have to experience war FIRST HAND.

I understand exactly how you feel. I pray for THIS generation (BIRTH THRU 40) as it seems to be so gullible, meek, timid, and dumb at times. But, as you said, it is better to be prepared for anything. ALL THE SIGNS THAT THE BIBLE WARNED US ABOUT HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED with a few more coming (dissolution of all religion, a 1-world govt, the antichrist, finally, the 7-year Tribulation). A person would have to be blind, if they know the Bible, or they have to be unlearned about the Bible to see that we are entering the end phase as we were warned about in the Bible.
I believe personally in a PRE-TRIB Rapture, but even if I am wrong, KNOW THE SIGNS, prepare your heart and soul or you will fall apart or end up losing whatever fear you have in the Lord and going the way of the world.

Time to God is not the time humans think of. A day is like a thousand years to God. God does give us reprieves now and then, like he did with Trump, but eventually, prophecy MUST come to pass. What a person does NEXT will determine who they really are in Christ. Will you fight to protect those you love or will you give up willingly? The choice is yours. ME, I will pick up my gun and I will defend my right to live in my home in freedom. I can understand the Judge’s ruling from the perspective of
the consequences that might happen if one is wrongfully placed on the list, and
there is no alternative available to them to seek the kind of due process that
will fairly enable them to be removed therefrom, but I sincerely believe that
this list has merit, As we all know, we see and hear of the abominable conduct
of those of the Muslim persuasion that has caused violence against innocents throughout
this world. The so called moderate Muslims say nothing and do nothing (except
cheer) when those radicals among them commit heinous acts to non-Muslims. Therefore,
it should be clear to the court, as well as our political leaders, that there
is a need under national security to
provide some method of identifying those who might be of the faith of Islam and
might also be such a believer that they represent a possible or probable clear
and present danger. We need to raise our voices against their dangerous belief
system, until they abandon their built in hate that is promoted by Islam
against non-Muslims.

Then maybe, there needs to be OVERSIGHT on that list? I thought there was, but maybe I am wrong.
If ICE and those protecting our airports, borders, and other areas that foreigners enter from, do not have something that describes/points out and/or distinguishes that person crossing into America, THEN WE MAY AS WELL GET RID OF ALL PROTECTIONS EVERYWHERE AND LET THESE DEMONIC PEOPLE INTO AMERICA. It makes absolutely no sense to me to not have a watchlist. We have CRIMINAL RECORDS in AFIS and other databases that tell us the background of criminals, so why not a WATCHLIST at our Ports of Entry for Green Cards and foreigners to be sure we aren’t allowing CRIMINALS IN?
FOOLISH DEMOCRATS WILL CUT THEIR OWN NOSE OFF TO SPITE THEIR FACE UNTIL THEY ARE ATTACKED PERSONALLY BY ONE OF THOSE ILLEGALS.

IT WILL BE APPEALED and when it gets to the SCOTUS, it will be settled.
GOD IS VERY DISPLEASED with these 2 women AND it will not take Him long to move HIS WAY on their behalf. Hope I am not around.
Americans need to vote these women out of office before they allow SATAN to COMPLETELY ruin this country.

I suppose that this change won’t affect foreign nationals on the list. So, essentially, it remains mostly Muslims living in the US, white suprematists, a few Black Lives Matter, and some criminals with Antifa.
A simple fix would be to inform them that they are on a travel watch list/ban and have 20 days to present their reasons for being removed from said list. That should satisfy the judge, though he will probably push it to 30 days, that is if the government goes this route.
Just wait to be on a plane half way across the ocean when the Muslim who just got off the list smiles at you and says, “Bombs away!”

As far as I am concerned, the judge should be removed. He sided with Islamic law. CAIR and any other Islamic organization, for all their assertions that they’re loyal Americans, have a culture which is diametrically opposed to our way of life and Constitution. To them the only law is Islamic.. I don’t care what oath they said: it’s allowed under Islamic law to lie to further Islam.
His ruling put another knife into our way of life, our law and Constitution..
