Iranian President Hassan Rouhani: America Must ‘Bow Down Before’ Iran |

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani suggested that if a meeting with President Donald Trump were to take place that the United States would have to bow down to Iran and repent from “economic terrorism” against Iran.
“Those who have imposed sanctions on our people, and have carried out economic terrorism – any change in our conduct toward them must start with their repentance,” Rouhani said in a video translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. “They must return to their obligations, and change the erroneous path they have chosen. They must act in the service of the world’s interests and security, while maintaining respect for the other. They must recognize our revolution, our regime, and the rights of our people, and they must reject their mistakes. With regard to the relations between Iran and America – unless America gives up the sanctions and rejects the erroneous path it has chosen, we will see no positive change.”
Story continues below advertisement“If you lift all the sanctions and bow down before the Iranian people, the circumstances will be different,” Rouhani continued. “We want to resolve the issues and problems in a reasonable manner, but we are not interested in photo-ops. If someone wants to have his photo taken with Hassan Rouhani – well, that’s impossible. It can be done with Photoshop, but a real photo is impossible, unless one day they lift all their unjust sanctions, and respect the rights of the Iranian people. Then we would be talking about new circumstances, and we could reconsider it.”
The remarks out of Iran come after the nation has experienced many months of crippling sanctions imposed on it by the U.S.
The U.S. continued to crack down on Iranian networks on Thursday, designating a Lebanon bank that has ties to Hezbollah a “global terrorist.”

I don’t disagree… but. We have a president who is rather valiantly fighting to maintain and grow the economic, moral, and political base and strength of the nation, from underneath the overriding economic, moral and political stagnation and treachery of democrats, marxists, jihadists, utopians, et al. It is rather ironic that Pres. Trump is actually, and this is not hyperbole, but reality… the only grownup in the room when it comes to the positions of power in our government. So, it means that even protecting the nation by building a wall across the souther border has turned into a monumental effort. And carrying out regime change would simply empower all his adversaries
within the nation to howl and bellow and call for impeachment seeing as they cannot win a fair election and must steal it. You know the details. Anyway, I don’t disagree about regime change, but economic stifling is all he can push through absent an obvious attack upon us by Iran, which they might be capable of doing but who knows. Anyway… starve the bastards, limit them, and make their ability to make others submitted less and less, and maybe, just maybe, there will be forces inside Iran that will bring the mullahs to their knees.

Totally agree but I was in NYC in ’79 when all the educated Iranians fled there when the Shah was overthrown. Those people rock! They’re ready NOW- “forces inside Iran”- to overthrow the throwback mullahs. Remember they’re not Arabs, they’re Persians, and they feel that distinction incredibly and don’t identify with the throwback stuff at all. Indeed but for idiot Carter they’re the last “muslim country” to ever have been brought back to the 7th century and start that whole nightmare going…
Now when they all arrived in NYC yes, they were muslims but you wouldn’t even know it. They were totally westernized, loved the USA, and took to partying and nightlife in a New York minute. The women were totally liberated, tho’ the guys needed to be slapped around a bit-literally (they were utterly undone by being around American women and were grabby, but they wised up really fast). They started businesses immediately and just…totally assimilated. Oh and don’t forget: These folks are monarchists and the Shah’s son is alive and well living, I think (of all places) in Texas. They’d love to restore him to the throne (a very limited monarchy, a lot like Britain’s).
As for dreading the howling of the Dems and Rino’s? I’m counting on the President to care about that about as much as he cares about the MSM not liking him.
I’m serious: Iran can so easily be brought down, exactly because of what the normal majority of Iranians are like. It’s dizzying to think of how this President can provide the push needed to rid the world of one its worst evils, Iran under its present moo-slime theocracy! I mean it’s not like any other sharia/muslim country.

I completely agree with you on this. The erroneous path has been to accommodate you and your murderous, thuggish regime. Now Trump has made some tentative- somewhat wishy-washy, I I would say- moves in that regard, but still, he has let little Israel take the lead in confronting you as you smother your people with oppression and export death and destruction.
The world’s interests lie in destroying such oppressive freedom denying regimes such as yours, not in bowing down to them. It is long past time for the United States of America to destroy your regime, your nuclear program, your missile capabilities, and your Republican Guards. We can do- without setting boots on the ground.
