BREAKING: Democrats To Take Formal Steps On Impeachment Next Week

Story continues below advertisementThe Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee is set to vote next week on a resolution laying out the procedures that it will use for its investigation as they are reportedly considering moving to impeach President Donald Trump.
“The vote, which is expected to occur on Wednesday, will lay out the ground rules for conducting hearings now that the committee has publicly announced it is considering recommending articles of impeachment against Trump,” CNN reported. “It is expected to follow the precedent set in 1974 over the committee’s procedures during then-President Richard Nixon’s impeachment proceedings.”
CNN noted that the resolution is expected to allow future House Judiciary hearings to be conducted in ways different than normal congressional hearings because the Democrat-controlled committee is considering impeachment. The resolution, which CNN said was “a major step,” is also expected to give Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) extra power to call hearings at the different committee levels in connection with “its impeachment deliberations.”
In May, American University professor Allan Lichtman, who has correctly predicted the last nine presidential elections, said that Trump would win re-election unless Democrats impeached him.
Lichtman noted that the real damage from an impeachment inquiry comes from “public hearings” and “a public trial in the Senate in which House prosecutors present evidence, present documents, make opening and closing statements.”
Politico noted that the move comes after Nadler declared in August that his committee was already involved in impeachment proceedings which sparked widespread confusion since no formal vote had been taken.
“Though the language of the resolution is still in flux, some sources said it could incorporate elements of traditional impeachment probes, such as offering access to the president’s attorneys or providing for more time to question witnesses,” Politico reported. “There was discussion among some Democrats on Friday’s call about the strength of the language in the resolution, according to sources briefed on the call.”
A source told Politico that the move was intended to increase the “officialness” of Democrats’ investigations into the president, most of which have hit significant roadblocks and have been stalled.

They have surpassed Joe McCarthy, since journalists and academics are either participating or staying neutral in the Mc Carthyism. The Kavanaugh Hearings were another example.

You read my mind. There are no grounds unless hatred for Trump because he is not a communist and rejects open borders and mass immigration can be used as grounds.
Speaking of that, we can always depend on RINOS to suddenly have “compassion” to turn Florida blue. Gov. De Santis has clearly stated, no more (third world) immigrant dumping in Florida. We still have people under TPS (Temporary Protected status) from El Salvador, Haiti and other third world countries taken here under disaster conditions that never got sent back. They become government dependent and vote DEM. RINOS are determined to turn Texas and Florida BLUE. Once either of those states turn blue, we will never get another Republican President again. It will be permanent tyranny of the left. The U.S. will be finished.

Rubio Plan: Let 20K Bahamians in South Florida Bring Foreign Relatives to U.S.

A plan spearheaded by Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL) would allow at least about 20,000 Bahamians living in South Florida to bring their foreign relatives to the United States who have been impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
This week, Rubio and Scott asked President Trump to “waive” or “suspend” certain visa requirements that would allow the roughly 20,000 Bahamians living in South Florida to more quickly bring their relatives still living in the Bahamas to the U.S.
In total, Rubio and Scott’s plan seeks to allow the roughly 50,000 to 60,000 Bahamians living in the country to bring their foreign relatives to the U.S. as a humanitarian solution to the small island being pummeled by Hurricane Dorian.
While the request has been made to Trump, it remains unclear which provisions of national immigration law could be suspended or waived to give U.S. refuge to the roughly 395,000 residents living in the Bahamas.
A similar policy, though, known as the Haitian Family Reunification Program allows Haitian nationals living in the U.S. to expedite the visa process for their relatives still living in Haiti — thus bringing those foreign relatives more quickly to the country.
