Celine Dion announces Israel concert on Jewish Valentine’s Day

BY JTA, September 27, 2019:

Celine Dion will perform for the first time in Israel next summer — on Tu b’Av, otherwise known as the Jewish Valentine’s Day.

The superstar French-Canadian singer will play Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park on Aug. 4 in a 20,000-seat amphitheater being built especially for the occasion, The Times of Israel reported.

“Shana tova Israel!” Dion said in a video announcement Thursday. “Can’t wait to see you all for the very first time in Tel Aviv. See you soon.”

Dion, 51, has sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide, making her one of the most successful recording artists of her generation.

Tu b’Av was known as a matchmaking day for women during the Second Temple period.

By Israel Hayom, September 29, 2019:

After a long-anticipated wait, pop singer Celine Dion confirmed in an online video that she would finally be performing in Israel.

The pop diva’s concert will take place on Aug. 4, 2020, in Tel Aviv, which also coincides with the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Av.

A giant amphitheater will be built especially for the event. It is set to hold a maximum capacity of 20,000 people. An additional concert date may be scheduled due to high demand.

Tickets will go on pre-sale on Oct. 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the end of the Rosh Hashanah holiday and to the general public on Oct. 2 at 8:00 a.m.

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
