Fast-food giant: The word ‘ham’ in hamburger too offensive for Muslims

The U.S. House of Representatives changed its dress code to accommodate a Muslim, so it’s clear that the demands of members of that religion are influential.

The Business Insider reported Burger King in South Africa is dropping the word “ham” from its menu.
What used to be known as the “Double Spicy Hamburger” will now be a “Double Spicy Burger.” The “Triple Hamburger with Cheese” becomes the “Triple Burger with Cheese,” and a “Hamburger King Jr” on the kids menu will now be just a “Kids Burger,” the report said.
The corporation, whose worldwide headquarters are in Miami, Florida, said the changes are being made “to be more respectful of Muslim customers.”
Burger King is relatively new to South Africa, having launched in 2013.
Business Insider noted a hamburger, made of minced beef, does not contain pork. “Ham” is simply part of the name of the German city Hamburg, where the patties were supposedly first made.
Juan Klopper, the COO of the chain in South Africa, said its outlets had been certified halal, or compliant with Islamic law, even though its product names included “ham.”
But the company also said its sites are losing that certification, since some sandwiches are being redesigned to include bacon, based on popular demand.

I am tired of the bullshit coming from companies to appease the Muslim population because it hurts their feelings. In America its called a HAMBURGER. Do my best to feed four, with the lot and they love them, had one other but has gone fussy on foods. Couple have two. The best ones I liked were in Sydney Australia, was rated the best many years back and was then $2
I am sure you can do as good than brought ones and putting in what you like. If you do not like doing the bun, you can always buy a bead machine, with only bit of handling. I make 8 buns from one bread machine that look good and bigger than brought ones. Can always freeze the ones you do not use for another day.
Practice makes perfect, including many other meals.
One beauty doing your own, you know exactly what has gone into the things you make and how handled.
Hope the items you use are Halal free, no Halal Certification.
If more did their own the better for all of us, we do not bow to Islam.

Great question. Why does the West always have to bend over backwards to barbarians? … When will the Muslims be forced to accept any of our civilized ways? The answer is never. The Left will not allow us to demand that Muslims accept our ways. Not even our toilet paper.

We are nowhere near as close to victory as we might think we are. Most of our friends and neighbors are just deluded and ignorant. Most of them have not even heard of most of the crimes and violence going on in the 3d world. When we try to explain something to them – the facts are so shocking and terrifying – their eyes glaze over, they give you the deer in the headlights look – and they don’t believe you.

We should always ask at the counter. I quite often have lunch at a subway and different ones sell different meat some halal but most not, just depending who runs that particular franchise so I always ask and if the answer is wrong I walk away.

I wonder when the weak and pathetic government in the UK will impliment the law on the illegal indescriminent distribution of halal meat to non muslims. That would stop any burger king restaurants deciding to pander to muslim demands. And lets not forget that these muslims have no moral code. Hiya Clem. They are pro English (as I am too) but to the extent that they want to be independent of Scotland and Wales which doesn’t at all appeal to me being a staunch unionist = British nationalist.
Although I do think it unfair that both Scotland and Wales have their own separate parliaments to discuss their particular issues but England has non. So I’m all for an English assembly but not at any great expense as I think far too much money is spent on politicians when all the spoiled bastards do is ignore our commands and stab us in the back. Right now I’m just desperate to see my country free of the blood sucking EU and it’s hold over us dictates even our own law making. Hopefully though freedom is close and if not then they the parliamentarians will pay dearly with blood.

Washkansky, a South African grocer dying from chronic heart disease, received the transplant from Denise Darvall, a 25-year-old woman who was fatally injured in a car accident. Surgeon Christiaan Barnard, who trained at the University of Cape Town and in the United States, performed the revolutionary medical operation. The technique Barnard employed had been initially developed by a group of American researchers in the 1950s. American surgeon Norman Shumway achieved the first successful heart transplant, in a dog, at Stanford University in California in 1958.
After Washkansky’s surgery, he was given drugs to suppress his immune system and keep his body from rejecting the heart. These drugs also left him susceptible to sickness, however, and 18 days later he died from double pneumonia. Despite the setback, Washkansky’s new heart had functioned normally until his death.
In the 1970s, the development of better anti-rejection drugs made transplantation more viable. Dr. Barnard continued to perform heart transplant operations, and by the late 1970s many of his patients were living up to five years with their new hearts. Successful heart transplant surgery continues to be performed today, but finding appropriate donors is extremely difficult.

Early this summer when Tommy Robinson was standing for election and a muzrat threw a milkshake on him Burger King made light of it and started advertising their shakes for that specific purpose so when Nigel Farage was campaigning a week later the same thing happened to him and BK thought it was a great way to advertise their toxic filth.
