EXCELSIOR! President Trump launches U.S. Space Command

8

Resurrecting the space program will be one of President Trump’s many crowning achievements. What magnificent news — investing in actual science and divesting from left-wing lunacy. Some of man’s greatest achievements and scientific discoveries came from space exploration.

Magnificent. A President defining the America of today and tomorrow.

Obama decimated the Space program and changed NASA’s mission from space exploration to Muslim outreach. NASA’s Administrator explained that Obama had asked him to “find ways to reach out to dominantly Muslim countries.” (More here: Obama ‘s stone age)

Establishing the U.S. Space Command

This afternoon, at the direction of President Donald J. Trump, the Secretary of Defense established the United States Space Command to ensure America’s continued dominance in space. President Trump announced the news from the Rose Garden.

“The dangers to our country constantly evolve, and so must we,” the President said. “Now, those who wish to harm the United States, who seek to challenge us in the ultimate high ground of space—it’s going to be a whole different ballgame.”

The United States is reliant on space for everything from the vital military systems that protect us to widely used consumer systems that fuel our economy. While America has the strongest military in the world, failure to act now could allow our adversaries to overcome that competitive advantage and deny us access to the space domain.

???? Watch: President Trump establishes the U.S. Space Command

Last week, at the sixth meeting of the National Space Council, Vice President Mike Pence spoke at length about America’s next great mission to lead the world once again in human space exploration. “As we lead in American innovation and entrepreneurship in space, we also must lead in security,” the Vice President said.

To that end, President Trump installed four-star General John “Jay” Raymond today as the first leader of the revived U.S. Space Command. The newest of 11 unified commands within the Department of Defense, USSPACECOM will employ assigned forces from every branch of the military to achieve vital victories in space.

There’s no better person to lead this charge than Gen. Raymond. As the current commander of the Air Force Space Command, Gen. Raymond leads an incredible team of about 26,000 space professionals worldwide. His deep experience in the field includes serving in the United States Air Force for more than 34 years, and in June, the Senate unanimously confirmed him as our first Commander of the U.S. Space Command.

For those wondering, U.S. Space Command is the precursor for the still-to-be-approved U.S. Space Force.

All Congress does is bash Trump waste money on endless paranoid investigations and illegally harassing anyone that knows Trump. DEMS and RINOS are destroying our country.

From your link:

The Department of Defense forwarded a Space Force proposal to Congress, on March 1, 2019, calling for a service that would fall under the Air Force in the same way the Marine Corps falls under the Department of the Navy. The proposal also included the designation of a new position: undersecretary of the Air Force for space, a civilian position that would answer to the secretary of the Air Force and oversee U.S. Space Force. Officials estimated the creation of a new service would cost $2 billion over five years, and require 15,000 personnel.

Congress has yet to authorize the establishment of a U.S. Space Force.

Oh they do but both parties could care less about e future of the U.S.. Both parties want us to be a third world country. – just like where the illegal aliens are coming from. They want open borders, mass immigration for votes (DEMS) and cheap labor (GOP). Trump is doing what he can about that. Being able to allocate other funding for a wall was a fantastic win for Trump. Everything he does and I mean everything is blocked by a liberal judge and often has to make its way up to the Supreme Court. Even Mexico does MORE for us than the swamp in helping to keep people out. Trump out a hook in USMCA to do just that. NAFTA is over. Now all Congress has to do is VOTE on it. Will they? Who knows but if need be Trump can simply make it an agreement between the countries and that is what he is doing.

I wanted it called Star Fleet.
But US Space Command sounds good too.

Maybe it will be renamed US Starfleet Command in the future when we have a space fleet.

Tell that to the DEMS and RINOS. If anything there is more urgency to get this moving. We are taking in LOW IQ people and academia is becoming more decrepit. There is a deliberate dumbing down going on out there. Notice the standard of living difference with third world countries and the U.S.. DEMS want dumb people to vote for them and RINOS want cheap labor. Merit is the last thing either party wants.

Space technology and having a presence up there is critical. Our national security, economic prosperity, and global standing, and aerospace technology is the largest contributor to the trade balance in the U.S.. I don’t think people realize the spin off benefits of NASA technology that we take for granted. Here are a few:

Health and Medicine
Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
Infrared Ear Thermometers
Artificial Limbs
Ventricular Assist Device

Transportation
Anti-Icing Systems
Highway Safety
Improved Radial Tires
Chemical Detection

Public Safety
Video Enhancing and Analysis Systems
Fire-Resistant Reinforcement
Firefighter Gear

Consumer, Home, and Recreation
Temper Foam
Enriched Baby Food
Portable Cordless Vacuums
Freeze Drying Technology

Computer Technology
Better Software
Structural Analysis
Refrigerated Internet-Connected Wall Ovens

More here and this is not comprehensive.

Valiant effort by Trump to try to get Americans to “dream” again, to become ambitious again, to reach for the stars again. But methinks it is too little and way to late. Obama’s negative, disastrous and planned take down of the US has succeeded far beyond his dreams. He has “fundamentally” changed America where at least half (if not more) of Americans (and I use that term loosely considering the millions of illegal imports of the past ten years) have been changed from a great nation of builders to a people that is turning on itself. The divisiveness of racism and the hatred of everything American by Islamic imports and opportunists combined with the dumbing down of society in their “indoctrination” centers for the past 2-3 decades has left the once mighty USA bereft of moral direction and floundering for relevance. For these (and other) reasons, America is ripe for a Socialist takeover (which is well underway) and the only hope I see is the “Great Hope”, the return of Jesus Christ to “catch away” His bride and bring His judgements on this sin-sick and depraved world. (Soon and very soon).!!

We will still have a defensive problem from other big-time players in the field. The idea of defending from space seems to make sense, but there are other factors.
Consider the short (very short) period of time just after WWII when the US was the only country with an Atomic Bomb. The physics behind it were only recently studied, and then it took only a short time actually to build a few of them. While it was all done in secret, those secrets were soon learned by the Russians, and they now had their own. It was not long afterward that the Chinese had one too.
Both the Russians and Chinese used spies to learn the secrets. Since that time, the Chinese have aggressively gone after American Trade Secrets, which include stealing patents. This action is not just in trade, but military secrets. The Russians have borrowed construction plans for the Challenger spacecraft and use it. The Chinese have also borrowed from our military.
So, while we do research and development, spending money and testing, the Chinese wait for our success and then copy it. They skip the Research & Development and keep it cheap.
We do need to explore space and use it to provide us a modicum of safety, but hopefully, no battles would be fought there, but it is only a matter of time.
Whoever leads the field should expect others to follow and be as unscrupulous as they need to be to learn the secrets.
