The reluctance to follow the US embassy move to Jerusalem is both antisemitic, as Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish homeland, and cowardly, fear of jihad terror.
The embassy move to Jerusalem has given independent-thinking nations the courage to challenge international jihad terrorism.
Island nation of Nauru recognizes Jerusalem as capital of Israel

The tiny Micronesian island is one of a handful of countries following Trump’s lead on the disputed city
The Micronesian island of Nauru has recognized the disputed city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Israeli foreign ministry announced on Tuesday.The tiny island of less than 14,000 people sent a letter to the Israeli mission at the United Nations stating:
“The mission of Nauru has the honor to convey the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Nauru to formally recognize the City of Jerusalem as the Capital City of the State of Israel.”
Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz hailed the move, calling it an “important decision.”
“We will continue to strengthen Jerusalem and to bring about the recognition and opening of diplomatic missions and embassies in our capital,” Katz wrote on Twitter.
Nauru joins a small but growing number of countries to follow US President Donald Trump’s lead and recognize the holy city as Israel’s capital.
US President Donald Trump sparked a deterioration in relations between Washington and the Palestinian authorities last year when the United States broke with international consensus and moved its embassy to Jerusalem.
Israel annexed east Jerusalem in the 1967 Six-Day War in a move never recognized by the international community.
It considers the entire city its capital, while the Palestinians claim the predominantly Arab eastern sector as the capital of a future Palestinian state.
Nauru joins Guatemala, the Czech Republic, Honduras, and Australia in recognizing the city as Israel’s capital, though Australia restricted the recognition to west Jerusalem only.

Nauru is an island that used to be referred to as “Bird “Sh-t Island”. As the droppings of birds, over the centuries, built an island of phosphate. This made the Republic of Nauru very wealthy. They were fond of real estate investments and had them worldwide. Unfortunately, Nauru sold the rights for less than 20% of appraised market value … Of course, it was Botany Bay Rejects that took advantage of these island people and ripped them off … beyond belief. Today, well over 80% of the island has been strip mined down to nothing …. Practically no vegetation exists … It ain’t a pretty picture.
In 1994, when we moved our operations to Saipan, we had our office on the sixth floor of the Nauru Building (one of their worldwide investments). It’s located on Beach Road …. opposite side of the beach (beach on one side of Beach Road, Nauru Building on the other).
A good time was had by all.

They have an attractive condominium complex in Honolulu and are a recognized member of our Polynesian community although the small island area limited the cultural activities and history of the larger archipelagos.
I stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Sydney when it owned it, but I am afraid they have no idea how to manage money.

AGW people said Nauru was supposed to be under water by now. I didn’t hear any glug-glug-glug when they said they support Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol. Thanks, Nauru!
