Iran helping Hamas build a standing army, report says
The proposed Iranian-backed military force would be a joint Hamas-Islamic Jihad army.

Story continues below advertisementDuring a visit to Tehran a month ago, a senior Hamas delegation discussed with Iranian leaders the development of closer ties that also included the establishment of a standing army in the Gaza Strip, reports the Israel Hayom daily.
The visit by the delegation was widely and openly reported, but the formation of a full-fledged military force was a lesser-known aspect of the agenda, which emerges, says the Israeli newspaper, only upon further review of Palestinian and other Arab media reports.
The proposed Iranian-backed military force would be a joint Hamas-Islamic Jihad army, according to Israel Hayom.
The report relies on research by Yoni Ben-Menachem of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, (JCPA) who says that Hamas is now boasting a new manufacturing plant for explosives belts and is also hinting at a network of tunnels, apparently within Gaza, that would transport fighters from one location to another in the event of an Israeli invasion of the Strip.
Ties between Iran and Hamas had been cut for several years but revived by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Last month’s meetings in Iran signaled a step up in relations and included one with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Hamas has ruled the Gaza Strip since overthrowing the Palestinian Authority there in June 2007.
According to Israel Hayom, the plan is to impose control of the Iran-Hamas military also over the Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria.
Efforts recently have been made by the terror organization to make inroads in Judea and Samaria as well.
The smaller Islamic Jihad terror organization also maintains close ties with the Islamic Republic.
Israel has issued a warning to Gazan residents that they will continue to suffer because the leadership in the Strip cares more about relations with Tehran than about Palestinian civilian
“Hostile elements near and far, attempting to ignite a war, are dragging you into violence and destroying the stability and security of your home,” wrote the Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Maj.-Gen. Kamil Abu Rukun in an Arabic-language message which he posted on his Facebook page on Monday.
“Islamic Jihad, in the service of Iran, is causing destabilization again and again and harming the security of the area,” he wrote, telling the Gazan population: “You are the ones who will suffer the consequences.”

Over the past couple of years, Graham has emerged as one of the major pro-Qatar voices in the Senate. He routinely takes to television and other media platforms to repudiate Qatar’s regional adversaries, while bolstering its allies. The top donor to South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster’s recent successful gubernatorial campaign is a major Qatari lobbyist. Between 2017 and 2018, Imaad Zuberi, a lobbyist who represents the ultra-wealthy QIA, shelled out over $50,000 for McMaster’s campaign, according to campaign finance reports. Zuberi told associates that his donations to Republicans were a way to pay for further access to politicians, according to The New York Times. …

Depending on your view… it could happen before, or during the tribulation. It’s truly amazing how events are lining up. This one in particular is interesting. It doesn’t take much imagination to see this as a tool to enforce certain behavior and thoughts or you are denied products and services if your score is not proper. For the most part we are a cashless society. Maybe this is part of Revelation 13:16-18.?

China’s “social credit” system, a high-tech operation that tracks and assigns points in relation to the daily activities and behavior choices of its citizens, is being developed in Silicon Valley.
The Communist government’s digital efforts, which have been in place since 2014, to control the actions of the people has been extensively utilized to manipulate them into compliance with their preferred way of conduct.
Reports indicate that it is increasingly common for Chinese people who refuse to go along with what the regime deems as good behavior to be denied the ability to travel by air or business class train tickets, among other things. Thus, if people want to live a normal life they are incentivized to keep their social credit score positive.

In a Monday Fast Company essay, Mike Elgan explained that private companies such as Uber and Airbnb are employing tactics that mimic the Chinese state.

“It’s now easy to get banned by Uber, too (in the US.). Whenever you get out of the car after an Uber ride, the app invites you to rate the driver. What many passengers don’t know is that the driver now also gets an invitation to rate you. Under a new policy announced in May: If your average rating is ‘significantly below average,’ Uber will ban you from the service.”

Effectiveness at predicting your every move, from likeliness to pay a bill or honor a contract, to who you will most likely vote for in the next election.

I’m somewhat surprised because I thought nearly all Paleswine were Sunni. I’d think Soddy Barbaria, the UAE or Kuwait would be more interested in having Hamas/Fatah in their camp and curbing Hezbollah influence throughout the region.
