Pamela Geller Event to Proceed Despite Eventbrite Blacklisting
By Alana Mastrangelo, Breitbart, August 12, 2019:An event featuring conservative commentator Pamela Geller will proceed as scheduled, despite being blacklisted by the ticketing service Eventbrite over supposed violations of the platform’s “community guidelines.” The group had been using the platform as its main source for organizing ticketing for the event.
The New York Young Republican Club plans to proceed with hosting its event featuring Pamela Geller, despite backlash by the online ticketing service, Eventbrite, which warned the group that any further attempts to create an event listing featuring Geller could result in the group’s account being banned from the platform.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 15 at the Women’s National Republican Club in New York, New York.
“Eventbrite was the only ticketing option available for this event. We are now selling tickets directly on our website,” New York Young Republican Club president Gavin Wax told Breitbart News. “We believe CAIR put pressure on Eventbrite to get the event canceled on their platform.”
The club president elaborated by explaining that the group believes CAIR — the Council on American-Islamic Relations — has been “behind the entire manufactured outrage” over the event, in an effort to smear the group and its event speaker.
“It’s very sad that Eventbrite would cave to an organization of such ill repute as CAIR,” said Wax. “They are an organization with strong ties to Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups, with CAIR themselves being labeled as a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates. They are an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland case.”
“Their tactics to shut down speech they don’t like is thuggish and anti-American at its core,” added the club president. “In the last week or so we have been inundated with hate mail and threats, many of which had strong anti-Semitic overtones as half of our Executive Board is Jewish.”
“We will not be intimidated and we do not negotiate with terrorists,” affirmed Wax.
Eventbrite told Breitbart News in a previous statement that the platform works hard to strike a balance between free expression and community safety, and that its policy is “to remove content that is in violation of our guidelines,” adding, “after the team reviewed this event, we enforced it.”

CAIR has been designated a “terrorist organization” by the United Arab Emirates, the place where at least two western women were raped and then arrested for the “crime” of adultery, the place where foreign workers are persecuted and exploited, the totalitarian theocracies that are the typical islamic religious apartheid states.

Agree. If Trump is smart enough , he should pass E.O to ban all terror/crime/illegal/drug linked persons from coming to America and those who advocate for them should lose their assets/citizenship and deported/jailed as terror agents.

Islam is a religion, but not benevolent in the manner we consider religion should be. This means even Devil Worship is a religion, and like all others, practitioners have a choice to follow it or not.
If you choose to “unfollow” a religion, especially Islam, you do put your life at risk, but you won’t be the first. In a Muslim majority counry, leaving Islam is life-threatening, but it has been done, and the rest of the world needs to take notice.
Islam does not go away. It has been known to retreat, but it comes back. Europe once kicked out Islam but now, under the guise of “persecution,” Muslims have reinvaded Europe.
The old story holds true: If you don’t learn from history, it will repeat itself. It is a religion that pays you back for your virtue in the “afterlife,” if you believe in such things. I don’t.

When a “cult” reaches a certain size, it becomes a religion. There are between 1.2 to 1.8 billion Muslims in this world, while Christianity boasts almost 2 billion. A cult is defined (loosly) as a “spurious religion.” If you are on the outside, Islam is a cult, but with up to 2 billion people, so is Christianity.

Since article mentioned CAIR, and the “Young Republicans” and some women’s group which supports Pam’s lecture, I just figured DFW must be some other women’s group. Tough luck Gail, but your area is just not that nationally known, as is L.A. or NYC.

Eventbrite is another one of the many San Francisco based LibTard ventures that has amassed large funding for a very doubtful purpose in a very competitive industry. The best way to retaliate against this censoring is to be certain that any organization you may be associated with abandons their platform for another competitor.

I call the cops? What evidence would one have to present to the police? It would be “he said, she said.” There will not be any recordings to provide to the police.
Suppose Eventbrite contacted the police. They MIGHT contact CAIR, ask a few questions–nothing to do. The police tell Eventbrite that they talked to CAIR. End of case.
How would I “study” Gavin Wax? I went to the club’s website and didn’t find anything that could be studied. Do you know or represent Gavin Wax or the New York Young Republican Club?
I ask again, How do we, anyone, know that people at Eventbrite weren’t scared into making that decision? Does anyone believe that they convinced by some ethical, moral, religious philosophical principles presented by CAIR? Did birds ever fly out of Mr. Meyer’s behind?
