At least 26 people were killed and 56 were injured in a 12-hour attack claimed by Al-Shabaab militants on a popular hotel in southern Somalia.
“Twenty-six people were killed in the attack and fifty-six others wounded, among those killed are… foreign nationals three Kenyans, one Canadian, one British, two Americans, and three Tanzanians. There are also two wounded Chinese citizens,” regional president Ahmed Mohamed Islam told a news conference.
The suicide bomb and gun attack began Friday when a vehicle loaded with explosives was rammed into the Medina hotel in the port town of Kismayo before several heavily armed gunmen forced their way inside, shooting as they went.

It was the largest coordinated attack by the Shabaab in Kismayo since 2012 when it lost control of the city.
Three Kenyans, three Tanzanians, two Americans, one Briton and one Canadian were among the dead, president Ahmed Mohamed Islam of the semi-autonomous Jubaland region told a news conference.
Shabaab fighters have fought for more than a decade to topple the Somali government.

In 2011, they fled their positions held in Mogadishu, and have since lost many strongholds. But they retain control of large rural swathes of the country and continue to wage a guerrilla war against the authorities.

I am so tired of re-stating this same commentary, that I find it disheartening because I do not see any evidence that any of our leaders or the media sees what to me should be the approach to take with these Islamic believers who refuse to accept the fact that it is their belief system that is the leader in racist and bigoted conduct that results in violence. Whenever and wherever they speak out accusing all others of negative conduct, I would expect our media and us others to speak back by constantly pointing out that people who think like Omar and Tlaib and Cortez, are avoiding the real facts, and that it is Islam which can rightfully be accused of racism and bigotry as their history so clearly presents. Pelosi and our other leaders must take away from these speakers the platforms they use to present their unjustified accusations, and each time they speak of these unmeritorious claims we should be shouting back that it is Islam that is guilty of the clear and present danger as they are the source of this world’s troubles. That is not happening, and I fear for all of the free nations of this world.

Dennis, You are dead right that islam is inherently evil, not because its followers make it evil, but because its doctrines are evil in and by themselves which require its followers to believe in then practice evil. Those who even question islam can be physically harmed by whipping, beating, cutting of of hands, & genital mutilations. Women caught in adultery are stoned which makes it really hard to understand how any feminist, most of whom see nothing wrong with adultery, to support islam yet they do.
For those who go so far as to become apostates, the penalty is death. So given that the doctrines upon which islam was founded are violent, one of which calls for non believers to either submit to islam, to convert, or to be killed, how can ANY non-muslim claim islam is A) peaceful and B) it is not a threat to ALL non-muslims? To make either or both of those claims is insane, yet liberals everywhere, including rinos in governments, go to great lengths to try to convince us that those of us who refuse to agree with their narrative are the real haters, yet they cannot provide any instances of our beliefs being the source of rapes, beatings, or murders which muslims commit routinely then blame on their faith saying they have a “right” to commit those crimes (that they don’t call crimes) because their “religion” (which is not a religion but a death cult that worships satan) requires them to do.

I share your view of Islam, but this is their place. It’s not my job to stand in the way of their Islamic stuff over there, it’s something they can settle among themselves.
So the unsurprising happened. Not really my business. We may have to spend money to protect the refugee camps over there, but ultimately it’s their job to fix their country.

Way too late for that… look at Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand and cities in the United States.
The REAL challenge, which I see as nearly impossible to achieve, is how to stop them from spreading their intolerance, hatred and murderous policies any further, let alone back them out!
A few decades ago, they got ‘enabled’ by the “Tolerance of Intolerance” of stupid people all around the globe.
What could possibly stop them today? I have no idea, but I suspect it will be measured by caliber.

It is difficult to believe that a significant number of Americans regardless of political affiliation or even beliefs would want to import this chaos into their neighborhoods. Frankly, tough luck to these foreigners who went to Somalia – and the Somali-Canadian journalist who wanted to present the ‘positives’. For them i feel nothing. They went to a rubbish Muslim country with incessant Muslim violence, put themselves in harms way and got their just reward – death. As to the Somali-Canadian journalist, they got their just reward for wanting to present ‘positives’ to evil Muslim behaviour. The stupidity coming out of Canada nowadays speaks volumes about moral and intellectual failure. With some stupidity is regarded as clever. Ask for some featherbrained, do-good, nonsensical rubbish and Canada will produce it – like welcoming back ISIS murderers and rapists, and the idiotic Prime Minister, Just-an-ass Trudeau, stating that they could be “a force for good”. Due to the open theft of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MINNESOTA TAXPAYER DOLLARS BY THE SOMALI COMMUNITY IN MINNESOTA, scamming many of the 139 MN social services programs here with relative ease in plain sight, and each year for the last dozen years or longer, MINNESOTANS are involuntarily financially supporting (INTERNATIONAL MONEY LAUNDERING and FRAUD) the animals who murdered this reporter, and are also responsible for the DEATH of KIA Special Forces Staff SGT, Alexander Conrad (Killed on June 8, 2018 in Somalia), as a part of a 500 trooper compliment from Ft, Bragg, North Carolina, fighting these barbaric animals as well, along with coalition NATO forces..
These people, and their ‘cult’-ure’ are hopelessly imprinted from birth to death with this insane and valueless Neanderthal style barbaric behavior pattern, only compounded by the FACT that the average IQ in that Jurassic Park of a country is only 68..
