Taharrush in Heidelberg, Germany: mob of Arab-looking men groping on women
Medforth, July 5, 2019:
The officers of the Sexual Crimes Squad of the Heidelberg Criminal Investigation Department are currently investigating a sexually motivated crime on Friday night. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was walking in the old town of Heidelberg around 01:00 a.m. with a friend of the same age. Most likely in the Kettengasse the two young women met a group of men of about the same age. As a result, a verbal confrontation is said to have occurred, as a result of which one of the strangers stepped out of the group and touched the 21-year-old indecently. According to the two injured women, they were insulted first. The suspects between the ages of 18 and 23 who were arrested as part of the search later stated that they had also been verbally attacked; they denied that one of the injured persons had been groped by them. The investigators of the Criminal Investigation Department are therefore looking for persons who have witnessed the noisy incident in the pedestrian zone. The suspects are five young dark-skinned men of Arab phenotype. Witnesses are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department by calling 0621/174-4444.
