Legendary Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak: ‘Get Off Facebook’

Apple Legend Steve Wozniak: ‘Get Off Facebook’

Legendary Silicon Valley genius and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak warned Facebook users to find a way to get off the social media platform in a recent video.

In a recent video captured by TMZ at Reagan National Airport, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak warned Facebook users that the lack of privacy on the platform isn’t worth it for most users, adding “who knows if my cellphone is listening right now?”

Wozniak told TMZ: “There are many different kinds of people, and some the benefits of Facebook are worth the loss of privacy. But to many like myself, my recommendation is — to most people —you should figure out a way to get off Facebook.”

Wozniak further worried that the Masters of the Universe are becoming too powerful and it may be impossible to stop them. “But, everything about you… I mean, they can measure your heartbeat with lasers now, they can listen to you with a lot of devices. Who knows if my cellphone’s listening right now. Alexa has already been in the news a lot,” Woz said in the footage captured by TMZ.

He added that there is very little privacy when communicating online, stating: “So I worry because you’re having conversations that you think are private… You’re saying words that really shouldn’t be listened to, because you don’t expect it. But there’s almost no way to stop it.”

Woz’s suggestion for protecting user privacy? Let them pay for it: “People think they have a level of privacy they don’t. Why don’t they give me a choice? Let me pay a certain amount, and you’ll keep my data more secure and private then everybody else handing it to advertisers.”

What’s the process for deleting an account?

I left Facebook a year ago. I had to search FB’s online help to learn how to get FB to delete an account. Once I submitted my deletion request, I had to wait something like 21 days for FB finally to delete it.

FB only has power over people because they give it to them. Hard for FB to hold it over you if you aren’t a user. How difficult is that to understand?

Free is not free and it shows how easily manipulated people are. I had a young pastor all but attack me because I had urged getting off FB. He only demonstrated that he just another drone. Of course, he whined about someone posting negative remarks about him. Several years ago a couple of college students suggested I see the film “The Social Network.” I had never considered FB worth anything, but decided to rent the film. The film confirmed just how untrustworthy FB is. Who said there’s a sucker born every minute?

Not true. FB has track of all that exist in the US and it has track of people who do not make themselves part of FB. So these people will become the first enemy list if a tyrant so rises that wants to have an enemy list.

Facebook is in-beaded in your router. It has the ability to track everything you do even if you never even visited the website. You cannot hide; you cannot run; they know where you are.

There are such things as end-to-end encrypted VPN’s, no one can read the data being passed without significant effort. Then there’s TOR.

The problem of course is that everyone at FB is a dishonest POS liberal so even if you pay for more security and privacy, it will not be delivered. But at least there would be a chance of a class action lawsuit once its found out FB committed fraud and a host of other crimes

The problem is, that even if you’re paying for privacy how do you verify what level of privacy, if any, you’re really getting?
I’ve always thought of smart phones as spy phones — especially considering the nature of cloud storage.

I’d never use a smart phone to visit any counter-jihad website — unless it’s over a VPN and maybe even then only over an end-to-end encrypting VPN.

Trying to justify and rationalize to make yourself clean, Wozniak? Why didn’t you foresee what FB would become, didn’t you see the monster lurking in your midst and it was one of you founders?

What you say may be true, but it may have been because he was the geek behind the scenes. He was the guy making things happen. It was not until I saw the film “The Social Network” that I came to realize that Zuckerberg isn’t that smart, but he can lie with problem doing it.

The Woz had nothing to do w/Facebook, the Woz is the computer genius who designed and implemented the first PC, the Apple I. There was no internet back then.

Steve W said something very interesting and important at the beginning about his “cellphone listening” I see this as a major threat to everyone’s personal security as this has been mentioned before with people being advertised stuff that they have never googled but only spoken to friends about when face to face in the same room which one can suspect that the smart cellphone is the guilty snitch as it has the ability to listen even when not in use. The voice activated cellphones are a true danger but you can help yourself by turning the voice application off via the settings panel on your phones desktop display.
Better safe than sorry!

I really don’t see the need for this stuff, but for those, who do have a look at these. They seem to exist for the purpose of not allowing the Left to censor:

Freedomvine.com, parler.com (It’s very interesting who you will find there: Laura Loomer, Breitbart…)

and this one is very interesting, but I’ve not checked it yet http://theredpill.us/

When I was a youngster, our telephones had dials, and long-distance calls had to go through an operator. One day I made a call and got both a busy signal and “crossed wires,” which was a phone company snafu.
Crosswires connected me to others who had already discovered what number to call to reach this mess. We could all talk to each other between the buzzing of the busy signal. We exchanged phone numbers and a lot of people “hooked up” including me.
That was 60 years ago, and until Facebook, there was no other way of meeting, from a distance, people you would ordinarily not meet. To be sure, people embellish their lives on Facebook. People post “current” pictures of themselves from 30 years ago. Some don’t post their own image at all, using stolen pictures, fake names, and some not even their real sex.
Facebook is fake. It lets you portray your life as you wish it were, but isn’t. We put too much time communicating with “friends” as a priority in our lives. We complain about censorship, yet we continue to use their platform. And, all of this makes Facebook very wealthy due to the amount of personal information they sell about us.
Facebook tries to make itself look relevant and useful for society, but the reality is, they are just trying to “grow” themselves as a business. They are pioneers in Facial Recognition, and they get that ability from us when we “Tag” a friend in a picture.
There are the infamous Community Standards that many of us have faced. If you “offend” somebody, you may find yourself temporarily forbidden from posting, or commenting, or otherwise communicating. Though you are not allowed to post, you can easily create another profile which is usable immediately. The Community Standards are deliberately ambiguous and are widely considered a joke.
Facebook is as relevant as you want it to be. Indeed, it is the source of fast-spreading rumors and fake news. Most people will agree with an issue because they wish it were so, regardless of facts. That is too dangerous, and Facebook should safeguard its reputation by cleaning up its act. That won’t happen if left to their own devices.

Facebook is watching everything you because it is embedded in everyone’s router. For example, if you have a windows 10 computer (if not, search on youtube based on your os), watch this short video and check the ip’s. One is from facebook even if you never been on their website.

So if you pay them for a little more privacy, what’s to stop them from invading your privacy anyway? They’re doing it now even though they’re not supposed to so why create another profit center for them when they’re just going to be doing the same thing. Sorry, the level of trust is gone. And there is no way that they are ever going to get it back.their main goal is to control us and they will do anything they can to accomplish that.
