Iran Threatens: If US Attacks, We’ll Wipe Out Israel in Half Hour
In a television interview, senior official Mojtaba Zonnour gives Israel “half an hour” of life if America hits Iran.

In a local television interview Sunday, a senior Iranian lawmaker threatened that Israel will not survive if the United States attacks his country.
Story continues below advertisementSpeaking on Al-Alam TV, Mojtaba Zonnour, chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, said, “If America attacks us, Israel will survive for less than half an hour.”
The hardline cleric, who until 2019 also served as chairman of Iran’s Nuclear Subcommittee, spoke mainly about the U.S. threat to Iran amidst the rising tensions between the two adversaries.
Zonnour claimed that 36 American bases in the region are under Iran’s surveillance, all within reach of its missiles. This includes the “closest military base” in Bahrain, which serves the American Fifth Fleet, he said, as well as even the “most remote” one on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
“Today, we have intelligence hegemony,” he noted, according to a translation by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute. “We detect very quickly all the changes in the American bases in the region.”
If the Americans “think of attacking us,” the Iranian regime will sink the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier that is currently patrolling the region, Zonnour said. “Its huge size only makes it easier for us to target…. We will sink [it] along with its 7,000 crew members,” he added with a smile.
According to the state-sanctioned Mehr news agency, the senior parliamentarian scoffed at reports that President Donald Trump had called off a strike on Iran after Tehran shot down an unmanned American drone in June.
“If they (the Americans) had predicted their attack would be successful, they would not have cancelled it and it would definitely have happened,” he stated, crediting Iran’s “deterrence” for the aborted strike.
The U.S. administration said that the attack was called off due to the potential loss of life it would cause. Instead, the Americans disabled Iranian missile launch systems via cyberattack in retaliation for the downing of its drone.

No, we do not need to “wipe Iran off the map”. We merely need to destroy their military capabilities in a first strike.
Back in the Cold War days, much thought was given to maintaining an equilibrium by allowing the US and the USSR both to be able to withstand a first strike and to come back with a severe counterstrike. That was MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction).
But with Iran, no such calculus exists: the United States could reduce Iran’s military to rubble in a first strike. We might have to use tactical nukes to do it: if necessary, so be it. That would be preferable to allowing them to build a nuclear arsenal which will, at some point, be used.
Iran might then unleash sleeper cells, possibly armed with non-conventional weapons such as chemical & biological agents. We would need to make it clear it is not in their best interests to do that.

Pakistan is arguable as dangerous as Iran if not more, esp because they have strong ties with the Taliban and have many terrorists networks within the country.
I recall the Clintons wanted to confiscate Pak’s nukes and I think that’s a very good idea. As Sam Harris mentioned Pak is one coup or election away from real extremists getting nuclear weapons.
The first thing they’ll probably do is nuke India, then European countries which have ‘insulted’ their pedophile prophet. I don’t think the West is going to wake up until these Muslim maniacs drop a few nukes on us.
You’d think that 9/11 would’ve made us realize Muslims are a threat to us and instead of defeating them, we’re now sucking up to these monsters.

Big Intelligence Error: Americans disabled Iranian missile launch systems via cyberattack in retaliation for the downing of its drone. That just alerts the Iranians that we have that capability and that they need to take counter-counter actions. You NEVER, EVER demonstrate that type of capability except in conjunction with an actual attack when it gives a tactical advantage and protects our forces by disabling their defenses and offenses. Please, don’t micromanage any encounter with Iran or any other Islamic forces. Measured responses have provided us with wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere in the middle east. Wars of “Containment” starting back with Vietnam, have proven the falacy of any engagement that does not demonstrate overwhelming force by destroying an enemy’s forces and eliminating their ability to retaliate. Best example of doing it right was Ronald Reagan’s destruction of Muammar Gaddafi’s forces in Libya. His terrorist endeavors completely stopped as a result of one massive attack destroying his forces. Doing anything less is asking for a long protracted war with Iran and its Islamic neighbors. And the Islamic rulers and infrastructure are valid targets whose elimination will facilitate a regime change by the Iranian (Persian) people.
