Kirstie Alley accuses Bette Midler of ‘pure and REAL racism’ for joking about black Trump supporters
In addition to her work on the stage and screen, Bette Midler has emerged as one of the most vocal Trump adversaries on Twitter, prompting the president to recently blast her as a “washed-up psycho.”
But one of Midler’s latest tweets mocking Donald Trump has sparked backlash and accusations of racism. On Wednesday, the Beaches star posted a photo taken from a Trump 2020 rally and pointed out a group of black men in the crowd of supporters.
Kirstie Alley is among those taking Bette Midler to task over a tweet about black Trump supporters.
Midler, apparently surprised to see people of color backing POTUS, wondered aloud if his campaign paid them to be “blackground.”
Bette Midler, how dare you make a blanket statement that black people can’t think for themselves & that they must be paid off if they don’t agree with you. Your statement is so condescending & racist. “From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.”
Imagine, for one moment, that a conservative said this about blacks at a liberal event. It would be rightly called out as the nasty, divisive racism it is. Black liberals: this is what they *really* think about your ability to think for yourselves.
Midler’s joke also raised the ire of actress Kirstie Alley, who has backed Trump in the past. The Cheers and Look Who’s Talking star called the tweet “racist” and “degrading” and accused Midler of demonstrating “pure and real racism.”

Some commenters have accused Trump supporters of showing faux-outrage. And despite predictions that Midler would swiftly delete the tweet to quash any controversy, it remains online. The star also fired back at one “uptight” critic over the matter.

Perfectly said. As a Dutch military, I have served with black Americans and I still have extremely good memories about them. They knew their job, knew what loyalty is and were good comrades. irrespective of their grades.
Pressley did NOTHIG worth noting while on the Boston City Council. And since elected to Congress, she, along with the ENTIRE delegation from MA have done NOTHING to better the lives of their constituents, they only bash the President with reckless abandon. As a lifelong resident of MA, and the Boston area, I cannot wait to once again vote for Mr. Trump in 2020.

Well, Bette, you should still be running the towel concession in the local Bath House. Midler is the quintessential Democrat, Leftist racist; not merely in Hollywood but the entire nation. Hopefully, the blacks who support Trump will remonstrate her repellent, slanderous bigotry directed at them.
Bette’s view is conservative blacks are not politically savvy, intelligent and ingrates for not backing the Democratic-KKK Party. The Party that is historically pro-slavery and continues to marginalize the black communities but with one exception when the Democratic-KKK needs or wants the black vote.

Educated Blacks and Blacks who have found work under the Trump economy aren’t owned by the Left….I think President Trump got more Black votes than any other Republican President. I believe that will double in the next election.
When the Blacks look at what they have now and the new possibilities under President Trump…then look at how they’ve been treated by the Dimms for decades and what the Dimms are pushing now (socialism)..they aren’t going back to that….

It’s amazing what a has-been actress will do to stay relevant. I wonder if her agent, or publicist suggested she do something like this to bring her name back. You’d think that, when these famous people have earned their millions, they would be happy with it and just live quietly in retirement. Not the case at all. Bette is living proof of that.
If she returned, they might mistake her for a farm animal.

Well, for starters, her support of the Nazi-style boycott against Georgia in the wake of their passing their “heartbeat” bill into law – I mean “Nazi-style” because such a boycott, in its intent (i.e. destroying the economy of a sovereign state that seeks to reassert a culture of life because they, meaning Hollywood, seeks to spread the culture of death like measles, black plague or Ebola), is reminiscent of the Third Reich’s 1930’s boycott of Jewish-owned businesses in Germany that led directly to Kristallnacht and, ultimately, the Holocaust.

Isn’t there a law against racial slurs, like a “hate” law? If a black organization of means were to slap her with a $10 Million dollar lawsuit for “inciting” or “colluding” or “obstructing” the lives of these innocent Trump supporters, then added another $10 Million for “anguish and mental suffering” of those who read her tweet, it just might be a great example to stop other “Holly-woulds” from same. Ask the parents of the teen who attended a pro-life demonstration only to be ambushed by a black troublemaker – and the video of that confrontation heavily edited by the MSM to make the teen look like the villain. He and his parents sued The Washington Post for defamation – but a leftist judge (from what I’m apprised, appointed by Jimmy Carter) tossed out that suit, and the parents have announced their intention to appeal. The noose is tightening around those fighting for liberty and against statism.
My point is, if any suit against Ms. Midler were to be attempted, it too would be thrown out on its ear and she would be free to make more such defamations and slanders without consequence. Sad but true. This is why elections have consequences.

i am constantly amazed at the amount of black people whom are either unaware and/or just ignore the fact that it is the Democrat Party that created the KKK and that thousands of their party members fought and died fighting to maintain the right to own slaves. My brain literally goes into “Cognitive Dissonance” whenever I pause to ponder this insanity.
Not only that. The first criminal act of so-called Democratic Party was “Trail of Tears” in 1831, then Civil War, of course, then KKK and after that was institutionalized segregation thanks to Woodrow Wilson (D), followed by opposition of many of them to Women’s right to vote (Democrats only 104 to 70 in favor but Republicans 200 to 19) and now it is attempt of coup and institutionalized antisemitism. They will call you names if you don’t like their party. That is for sure?
It would seem Elizabeth Warren’s ancestry would be traced more to those who carried out the “Trail of Tears” rather than anyone who was a victim of same, no?
