Liberals cheer as antifa violence escalates
The underreported incident marks a new chapter in the return of armed left-wing terrorism to the United States. It also triggered a flash of memory in my mind: I had crossed paths with Van Spronsen in December, when a group of rifle-carrying antifa militiamen tried to prevent me from filming their protest outside Seattle City Hall.
Little did I know then that I would soon have a more immediate encounter with antifa violence. Two weeks ago, I was left hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage after a mob of mask-clad rioters beat and robbed me while I was covering a demonstration in downtown Portland, Ore. The attack, claimed by Rose City Antifa, was caught on videos that went viral online.
As shocking as my unprovoked beating was, I’m hardly the first to be cruelly beaten by antifa. I have been covering antifa since the days after the 2016 election, when Portlanders woke up to find that downtown had been ravaged by black-clad vandals and arsonists overnight. Since then, the militants have repeatedly brutalized the city’s population. They have learned from experience that city government and police lack the political will to protect citizens.
Though known for their hallmark masks and black uniforms, antifa isn’t a formal, centralized group. Its “members” operate as a loose grouping of militant Marxists and anarchists drawn from various autonomous far-left groups. Political violence is a feature, not a bug, of antifa, which believes itself to be in an existential struggle with latter-day fascism.
The worst part is how prominent media figures and politicians glamorize and even promote antifa as a movement for a just cause. CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon have defended antifa on-air. Chuck Todd invited antifa ideologue Mark Bray on “Meet the Press” to explain why antifa’s political violence is “ethical.”
Keith Ellison gleefully posted — and recently deleted — a selfie of himself holding Bray’s antifa handbook. Rep. Maxine Waters met hard-left political operative Joseph Alcoff in 2016. Alcoff is currently facing felony charges for his alleged involvement in an antifa mob beating of two Marines in Philadelphia.
That last choice of targets — Marines — was no accident. Antifa operates by a very broad definition of “fascists.” By antifa’s telling, fascists include mainstream conservatives and even centrist journalists who dare criticize them. But they save most of their hatred for US law enforcement and military service members. Antifa’s goal is violent political revolution, and it sees law-enforcement officers and the military as the main obstacles.
In the Pacific Northwest, where antifa is especially active, the group has continually targeted ICE. Last summer, the local ICE building in Portland faced a five-week siege that shut down the facility. Why? Antifa seeks to destabilize and destroy the nation-state by attacking its sovereign borders. And the group draws morale from mainstream progressive politicians, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who normalize hatred of border enforcement and sovereignty as such.
Van Spronsen, last weekend’s antifa fire bomber, expressed disdain for the state in a manifesto attributed to him on Seattle Antifascist Action’s Facebook page (it has since been deleted). He allegedly wrote: “I am antifa” and referred to ICE centers as “concentration camps” — language taken directly from AOC.
Last summer, he took part in a siege of the same Tacoma ICE facility he attacked Saturday, assaulted an officer and was found to be carrying a baton and knife. He pleaded guilty to obstructing police and was released under a deferred sentence.
As the Saturday incident shows, law enforcement should pay more attention to the various armed militias that ally with the wider antifa movement. Van Spronsen was a member of the John Brown Gun Club, a Marxist gun organization that calls itself “anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist and anti-patriarchy.”
The JBGC was glowingly featured in a May episode of CNN’s “United Shades of America.” Host W. Kamau Bell even solicited donations from the public on the group’s behalf. Elite cheering of terrorism hasn’t been this chic since Leonard Bernstein fundraised for the Black Panthers at his Park Avenue pad.

It is about time that the opposition to the antifa scum came out and did some damage back. Most of them when attacked back run but the standard coward’s rule of mobbing occurs and half a dozen return to pick on one individual. I was so hoping that the bikers and the proud boys would clean up these scum. But in classical leftist fashion they took legal action against the leader of the proud boys and they seems to have lost their impact. All I know is that to continue to allow this one sided violence is going to end in a shooting and although it will be richly deserved that is exactly what the democrats want.

The Democrats are the NWO’s Neo-Nazis; it comes as no surprise, shock or awe. Liberalism requires redefining; it is not a philosophy of enlightenment but ominous darkness. ANTIFA is an appendage of the Democrats, George Soros, and others of this fathomless abyss in which rule by terror-tactics, unbridled bullying, and a deep-seated hatred of political and religious diversity.
America is on the brink of not merely Islamization, but Nazification. Until patriotic Americans react hardcore to these threats enabled and sponsored Democratic-Nazi Party; this homegrown terrorism will accelerate.

The fact that Antifa is praised by the MSM is still another proof that Antifa is an arm of those who are seeking one world government, religion, and economics under the ultimate control of Satan. Antifa is an international thug army of the Progressive Movement. I am so glad this particular demon possessed Antifa member was shot and killed. May there be many more.

ANTIFA is the armed brigade of the Commiecrat Party that has declared war on Americans, of that there can be no doubt. They are the front line, the leaders of a plan to eliminate and replace those who represent the very best in America and have for 250 years. The 2020 election will be a spectacle like no one before it. The two sides are drawn up in full military array ready to cut each other’s throats. It will not end with the counting of the ballots on November 5, but will spill over into the streets as neither side is going to accept the count. Both are going to scream fraud and manipulation, whether true or not, and I doubt if a Supreme Court decision will satisfy the demands for blood. Folks, this is 1860 revisited. Spain 1936? My bet is on the right as they have the guns and the willingness to use them. This is the fall of the Republic and the beginning of the Imperium. You want your revolution ANTIFA and you will get it. Just remember what is the result. In England you got Cromwell. In France you got Napoleon. In Germany you got Hitler, In Italy you got Mussolini, In Russia you got Stalin and in China you got Mao. Is this what you really want? Stand back and just maybe there will be peace for all, but I know you will not, so it will be war. God help us!

Well, violence rears it`s ugly head. Those on the ‘right’ who seem to be almost yearning for civil war, should step back& seriously consider the ramifications. The ‘left is trying to get a civil war started, because that is how the Communists have conquered nations, and it works. Those on the ‘right’ are not organized,seem to have but a pot pouri of mixed up goals. Want a wall on our border w/Mexico? Walls keep people IN also. E/W Germany, N/S Korea,Former Soviet Union&the “Iron Curtain”. Want a wall? I don`t. Lets get the cursed politicians to enforce the laws we have. Civil war? How many countries can you think of that would love it&jump right in to carve out a piece of our pie? The “left” and their storm troopers,Antifa, have to be, absolutely must be defeated, come election time. We can expect violence to accompany the coming election. We have the right of self defense, but I wouldn`t go looking for trouble. Make those politicians enforce the laws.

did i say a wall wouldn`t work? or even suggest it? What I said was walls keep people IN, as well as out. Example was E/W,Germany, N/S Korea, The “Iron Curtain”, etc. Our immigration laws worked when they were enforced. We are seeing an invasion. If our country can`t or will not enforce the law, then what recourse have we? Long time ago, I suggested motion sensor operated machine guns. Liberals lost their minds,or what little minds they had. If we pulled out of the middle east,we should be able to put soldiers every few feet on the border. Those countries been fighting for thousands of years&no way will we ever stop it. Besides it`s about oil. But we have more oil than they do, so let them kill each other&take care of our own..There is, what I see as a clever strategy. Our military is being spread out in the world. Our enemies test our strength,watch&wait. This immigration invasion has to be stopped&those assisting the illegals should be arrested also. Shut off the money thats fueling the illegals, get tough with our mealy mouthed politicians.

No problem,I`m not offended. I have a very long slow burning fuse. There are some ‘triggers’ in life, which always seem to catch me by surprise. Then afterward, I think of a better way to react. I`m particularly good at embarrassing myself.. I told a liberal about my idea of motion activated machine guns on our border & they went totally crazy.I was the most horrible creature in existence. I laughed. Seriously, we have to many fronts. I`d like to see our troops at home, protecting our country. On the lite side, I have some of the Pathfinder books. I didn`t realize there were several until I stumbled across one in an antique shop. Natty Bumpo,Hawkeye,The pathfinder,of course, The last of the Mohicans,The long rifle. I enjoyed those books immensely and all the names Bumpo was known by. A great user name , you have

I took the name “Pathfinder” from the book “The last of the Mohicans”, many years ago (I’m 87) and it has served me well as a street name, road name (motorcycle), CB handle as well as others., Sadly, my motorcycle days have ended. (Disabled Korean War Era Veteran.” Wish you the best that life has to offer and I know that you hate, as much as I do, what Obama and the Dems have done and intend to do to what once was the “Greatest Nation in the History of the World”. (Kinda glad that I am now near the end of my journey). Take care and keep up the good fight!!
