The Ramones played the Rainbow Theater in London on December 31, 1977. The show became It’s Alive, which was released in April 1979. It’s Alive is considered one of the best punk records of all time.

Pamela Geller lies exactly between the two.
The Slits toured with The Clash & Buzzcocks in the 70’s.
They could also have called themselves The Frontholes.
But I was never really a punk fan. I was born 10 years too late for that.
Punk was something for teenagers at an age when they rebel against
everything including themselves. When old men still behave so trashy
and snotty, it gets a adolescent touch. In addition, too shrill noise does
indeed harm the mind and the ears, it is enough that I have a tinnitus.

When I see John Lydon today, he looks like a relic from another
time. His insane gaze had once made him suitable even for the
film industry. The name “Public Image Ltd.” indicates that punk
was nothing but a clever business idea (“The Great Swindle”).

I also remember bands like “The Exploited” (“hardcore-punk”). Typically not to a
single one of their “songs”. “The Soft Boys” of Robyn Hitchcock was a rebellion
by name against the exhausted punk label, quasi a rebllion against the alleged
rebellion. But frankly, I don’t even know the difference between proto-punk, punk
and post-punk. Somewhere I burned thousands of so-called Zines from the time

The interesting thing about the “Ramones” is that about half of the band members have
Jewish and German descent, the Jewish part here clearly contains the dominant position.
Richie (Reinhardt, German name), Marky (also German descent), Dee Dee (half-German).
