“US-Mexico Joint Declaration”: Trump Blasts NY Times Fake News Story On Mexico Tariffs: ‘They Are Truly The Enemy of the People!’

25

A “US-Mexico Joint Declaration” released by the State Department late Friday said the US “will immediately expand the implementation” of a program that returns asylum-seekers who cross the southern border to Mexico while their claims are adjudicated. President Donald Trump announced that he had suspended plans to impose tariffs on Mexico, tweeting that the country “has agreed to take strong measures” to stem the flow of Central American migrants into the United States .Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) praised President Trump for reaching a deal with Mexico. Rubio also challenged mainstream media to cover the deal and give due credit to the President.

After returning from Europe Friday, though, Trump tweeted, “I am pleased to inform you that The United States of America has reached a signed agreement with Mexico.” He wrote that the “Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended.”

He said Mexico has agreed to work to “stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border” and said those steps would “greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States.” (Daily Star)

Trump Rampages Over NYT Story On Mexico Tariffs: ‘They Are Truly The Enemy of the People!’

President Donald Trump opened up a whole thread of rage on Twitter Sunday in response to the devastating New York Times report, published Saturday, that Mexico’s concessions were not a result of pressure from tariffs but rather months of preparation. The random caps rant accused the Times of being fake news and disputed the premise of the story, if not any of the actual facts.

The Times reported that the deal which Trump announced on Friday “consists largely of actions that Mexico had already promised to take in prior discussions with the United States over the past several months,” and that it was not in the main reached because Mexico was responding to the tariff threat.

Trump was enraged on Twitter on Sunday and unleashed a threaded tirade. He began by pointing out that the Times was correct that such border actions had been something the U.S. was trying to get from Mexico for a long time. He said that for many years “Mexico was not being cooperative on the Border,” but that now he has “full confidence” that they will “be very cooperative” going forward.

He said that one thing not mentioned in “yesterday press release,” presumably referring to Friday’s announcement, didn’t include one item “in particular” that was agreed upon but not announced yet.

He then said that the New York Times will do anything to see the country “fail” and added the Enemy of the People line as his closer.

It was not a specific dispute of any point, except to confirm that items agreed to had been on the table for months, as the report indicated.

Trump Doctrine – Border and Migration Agreement With Mexico Likely to Produce Significant Results…
Posted on June 8, 2019 by sundance

The border and migration “agreement” with Mexico is a smart move by President Trump. If you worry that Mexico won’t take any action, well, don’t underestimate the dynamic President Trump just put into play.

Financial investment flows based on expectation, probability and risk management. If you don’t think Mexico will follow-up with their end of the bargain; then you are predicting the tariffs will reappear in 90-days.

Overlooked by most of the financial pundits President Trump has pre-positioned risk management actuaries with the basis for their analysis and internal investment advice. In a similar move last year, President Trump suspended tariffs against China based on an agreement (G20 summit in Argentina). After several months and a 150 page initial agreement of principle, China walked away from their prior promises and terms. The tariffs against China were immediately implemented at the previous rate.

Given the less than stellar follow-through on prior promises by Mexico; and given Trump’s absolute follow-through on China; those business interests who don’t trust the Mexican government to deliver on the new promise will now use the 90-day window to re-position their exposure or exit completely.

Failure of the Mexican government to follow-through, isn’t as simple as breaking a political promise (ie. another broken promise etc.). This time if Mexico doesn’t follow-through, and if Trump does follow-through in 90 days, it’s not a political issue, it’s an economic issue. In 90-days, the tenuous Mexican economy could collapse overnight.

Now think about President Trump’s economic adversaries: U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tom Donohue, The Business Roundtable, Koch Brothers, Wall Street multinationals, etc. Who are they going to pressure to protect their investment?

The pressure for action is no longer on POTUS. 100% of the responsibility is on Mexican President AMLO. If the issue isn’t corrected quickly, in 90-days the tariffs start…. And go read Trump’s deal-making history, again referencing the China example…. He won’t start all over again at 5%, he’ll start right at the place he would have been in 90-days, 20%.

Beijing Summons U.S. Tech Leaders to Summit With Threats of “Punishment”
if They Follow Trump…

Posted on June 8, 2019 by sundance

The Beijing regime of Chairman Xi Jinping summoned leaders from the top of U.S. tech industry companies and informed them of consequences for complying with U.S. laws that relate to black-listed Chinese industry; ie. Hauwei. It will be interesting to see how this dynamic plays out.

Beijing is counting on the far-left anti-American ideology within Silicon Valley to create a communist economic alliance on U.S. soil that will work against the interests of the American people.

Once a threat is identified, they are defined as a zero-sum adversary who must be controlled or destroyed. In this example the technology industry writ large is the threat. If U.S. companies do not comply with the demands of China all of their foreign assets will be confiscated by the government and the organization is labeled as a threat to the state.

…”Chinese officials explicitly warned companies … any move to pull production from China that seemed to go beyond standard diversification for security purposes could lead to punishment”…

Not much for subtlety and nuance, eh?

We simply can not have forced technology transfer and stealing of our technology secrets and innovation!
What will the tech companies do? Look how shallow FOX and other “news” sources have become. This should be major news too!

This President has shown more gutsy moves on more issues that undertake to benefit America than any other president, and that includes Kennedy (the Cuban/Russian Crisis) and Reagan (the cold war and the wall) that I have seen in my lifetime. Yet, the Democrats and the media refuse to acknowledge what this man has done for this country, and they go out of their way to find anything that they can to incite negative findings. The fourth estate has totally lost its way. Though I would normally counsel the President to be more temperate in his responses, I am know becoming to believe that he is duty bound to express himself and register his responses to a national press that has totally lost its way, as the American public has a right to know what is going on. With the Democrats failing to legislate to create a barrier to try to stop the illegal immigration, with the legislators failure to deal with the Daca immigrants living here now, and with just about all other matters involving a migration crisis that we all can see is adversely affecting this great country, I look with pride at the courage and direction Mr. Trump has taken, and I can only hope that come 2020 our electorate remembers what the Democrats and the press have attempted to put this man through, and the fact that their agenda seems totally out of spirit with what is best for our great country, and that he wins in a landslide, and that the Republicans win back both houses of Congress.

I am taking a WAIT AND SEE attitude. As long as this Congress and liberal Judges constantly OBSTRUCT everything Trump does, we may never see any real results in anything Trump does. Trump needs to DRAIN THE SWAMP because he still has a lot of those creatures surrounding him, whispering in his ear.

PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LISTEN TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR YOU, NOT YOUR NEVER-TRUMPER EMPLOYEES AND RINO MINIONS.

Same here. One good measure of whether or not Mexico is honoring something is when we see a significant drop at the border: front-liners for ICE and Border Patrol report significant reductions in illegal crossings.

Trump should have closed the border for 30 days in March to send a message. If that didn’t work, or produced only partial results, then a firm commitment to tariffs as prescribed last week should have been implemented.

The President has to realize at some point that the cartel-driven nation of Mexico does not do things as we do when it comes to cash flow. Illegal and immoral, mostly.

Agree. Its like demonrats are still running the presidency !

And the first Muslim democrat/socialist gay president imported 200,000 yearly legal and illegal muslims and deported christians back to ISIS to be slaughtered after they tried to make it to America

Never trust Mexico!
Trump is doing what he can but caution is need when dealing with Mexico’s Hugo Chavez 2.0.
DEMS are livid. They want the border OPEN and the Chamber of Commerce is thinking about suing Trump over tariffs which is the leverage Trump is using since
EVERYTHING he does is struck down by a liberal judge and on appeal. The SWAMP wants the invasion to continue.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador (“AMLO”)
Hugo Chavez 2.0 Now Running Mexico….

Posted on July 1, 2018 by sundance

This is the platform that gave him a victory:

Primary platform points:
♦Amnesty to all drug cartels.
♦No longer will work with U.S. immigration enforcement.
♦Nationalize oil industry.
♦Farm subsidies.
♦Elimination of multinational corporate influence on farming.
♦Support and assistance for economic growth plan: using
•mass migration of Mexican nationals into Southern U.S.,
•create AmeriMex border region, and
•remittance of earnings back to Mexico as initiative for rapid domestic economic growth.

He wants to FLOOD the US with Mexicans and other undesirables. Use our infrastructure and then only take back the ones that are worthwhile. He’s a real snake….. So we have a war going on with Mexico and immigration.

Were it not for Twitter and a few selected online sources, the public would never know the actual story concerning President Trump.

The only reasons I buy a newspaper anymore is for the crossword puzzle and the obituaries, and am beginning to question why they see fit to drag the dead into it.

The pressure is on AMLO to comply with the agreement; otherwise, he faces a collapse of the Mexican economy along with all of his Chavistic dreams of building a Mexican socialist utopia. Trade and billions in money transfers are the lifeblood of the faltering Mexican economy. Trump has AMLO over the proverbial barrel and I expect not just compliance but enthusiastic compliance.

I just love it that the rinos in the senate got their undies in a bunch over this. They have no idea of what a negotiation is. Their idea of negotiation is to roll over and give the dems whatever they want and happily proclaim that they were bi-partisan. I hate that word. It means just what I said: giving the dems whatever they want and getting nothing in return.
