The 506 Israeli companies with offices in New York pumped a whopping $18.6 billion into New York states economy in 2018. The number increase to $33.8 billion when factoring spending on goods and services. This accounts for 2.02 percent of New York states GDP. In addition, the 506 Israeli companies directly or indirectly account for the employment of 27,502 New Yorkers.
This is who the pro-Palestinian Left wants America to boycott. Has anyone ever asked supporters of the BDS Movement to explain how a state such as New York will get this money pumped back into their economy? Has anyone ever asked about the 27,000 plus New Yorkers who would lose their jobs should Israel ever be boycotted? Probably not.

Israeli-founded companies are making a “substantial impact” on the New York State economy by generating significant revenue and hiring New Yorkers, according to the findings of a study released by the New York – Israel Business Alliance.
The independent study, released Tuesday, showed that Israeli-founded companies in New York directly contributed $18.6 billion in revenue in 2018. The economic benefit to New York jumped to $33.8 billion when factoring in additional spending on goods and services in the local economy, representing 2.02% of the state’s Gross Domestic Product.
The 506 Israel-founded companies in New York State directly employed 24,850 New Yorkers and indirectly employed 27,502 when accounting for the additional demand for local goods and services, the study said.

The scope of Israeli impact / contribution to the US / world…! economy is far larger then the ~2% GDP contribution to the NY economy
With scores of global US tech giants like Intel / Apple / Microsoft / Google / Amazon / Facebook / Ebay / IBM / Cisco / Oracle / nVidia / Lockheed Martin (to name just a few) locating some of their most important R&D facilities in Israel, a greatly overlooked, massive degree of synergy has been created between the two advanced, tech centric economies
Most people don’t know this, but a very large chunk of Intel’s CPU innovations of the last ~30 years originated in Israeli located, Intel R&D facilities (also much of today’s actual manufacturing, is done in Israel)
Most ‘Windows’ operating systems (‘Windoes 95’? and beyond, ‘word’, ‘office’ software etc was / is developed (at least partially) in Israel
Foundational aspects big data analysis / artificial intelligence (“Machine learning”) technologies (+ vital defensive cyber capabilities!) that are crucial for the day to day operations and future sustainability / viability / competitiveness of companies like Amazon / Google / Facebook / Apple / Microsoft / Oracle, were and still are, developed in their Israeli R&D facilities
From an historical perspective (~40 years back), US tech companies that embraced Israeli talent have greatly benefited from that relationship which in the bottom line translates to better tech / innovation for everybody (global impact) > growth for American & Israeli companies > (financial gains for many US & Israeli citizens) > Advancement and PROSPERITY!!
It Is unfortunate that so many Americans (and Israelis…) do not realize the depth and sheer value (to both economies) of this highly synergistic relationship between the two economies and the importance of further nurturing this partnership
