Brave Iranian human rights lawyer Amirsalar Davoudi is unlikely to still be alive at the end if he is subjected to 111 lashes

Story continues below advertisementIranian human rights lawyer Amirsalar Davoudi has been sentenced to 30 years in prison and 111 lashes for his human rights work, which includes publicizing human rights cases on the Telegram mobile messaging app and giving media interviews.

Amnesty International said in a statement:
“Amirsalar Davoudi is the latest victim of a vicious crackdown waged by the Iranian authorities against human rights lawyers over the past two years, which has seen Iranian courts hand out increasingly harsh sentences to stop them from being able to carry out their work.”
“On 1 June 2019… he was convicted by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran on multiple charges and sentenced to 30 years in prison and 111 lashes. The punishment of flogging violates the prohibition on torture and other ill-treatment under international law.
“The charges on which he has been convicted include ‘insulting the Supreme Leader’… Amirsalar Davoudi is well known for representing human rights activists and other individuals detained for their social and political activities…
“Another lawyer, Mohammad Najafi, was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison and 74 lashes in three separate cases. Other lawyers who have either been arrested or have faced prosecution since January 2018 include Arash Keykhosravi, Ghassem Sholeh-Sa’di, Farokh Forouzan, Mostafa Daneshjoo, Mostafa Tork Hamadani, Payam Derafshan and Zeynab Taheri…”

Tom Gross adds: As opponents of the widely-criticized “appeasement” deal with the Iranian regime crafted by Barack Obama, John Kerry and the EU have repeatedly pointed out, the deal has (as predicted) emboldened the Iranian regime and encouraged it to greatly increase repression both at home and abroad, particularly in Syria.

While we’re talking about Iran……’Tanker torpedoed in Gulf of Oman’…..I’m pretty sure the Saudis don’t have subs. The Iranians do. Missile/Torpedo boats would have been spotted. Aircraft, too. One hit above the waterline? Missile?

Bill, I hate to say this. I seriously doubt that Iran torpedoed those tankers. More likely it was done by us in the US or one of our allies. Japan was getting oil from Iran against US wished. They were punished. False flag. I don’t want us to go to war with Iran. That could bring in Russia and China. What I want is a government in Iran that represents the people and is not from mullahs who get filthy rich off their tyranny.

“But Iran thinks otherwise.” Which Iran? The mad mullahs and their minions, or the 70% or more of the population who yearn to be free of power mad mullahs and, for many, Islam itself. May are coming joyfully to Christ. From what I hear a bunch of the mosques are near empty. Indeed, persecution is increasing precisely because the leadership fear the restless people who now have their number, and reject what they have to offer.
“There will be no rest for anyone until Islam triumphs over the world.” I know that is what the wicked work toward. I have never been an apologist for Islam. I can care about human beings who are forced into hearing lies from the devil. And I still say that Iran probably did not torpedo those Japanese vessels. My guess would be the USA or Israel. Israel desperately wants us to go to war with Iran, and shed our blood for their sake. It wouldn’t be their first false flag. Affection that turns a blind eye to evil that is done by the object of that affection is just idolatry. My disdain for Iran’s leadership does not require that I never believe that they may tell the truth once in a while.

And you sound like a rude ignoramus. I am a woman who just happens to give to ministries that serve Iran and have been praying for their salvation for a number of years. Many people are coming to Christ in Iran. Many of those citizens are still pro-West just like they were before the Islamic Revolution. Many of those citizens hate neither Israel or the US. And I don’t really want the US to bomb to pieces still another enemy of Israel. In fact, I would get uber Israeli ambassador Bolton out of the picture in a heartbeat. The guy just loves war and has a deep paranoia about Russia. FYI; the anniversary of the 1967 brutal Israeli attack on the USS Liberty was June 8. I said they have done it before and will do it again. That said, I very much want the people of Israel to be safe and have their own home. I don’t necessarily equate human beings with their political leadership.
Not being a bloodthirsty war monger doesn’t mean one is naive. I don’t believe in importing people with disagreeable values to my homeland. Nor do I think we should blow them to pieces for the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers.

There’s still many, many people that would kill you in a second if you didn’t wear a hijab. The Iranians just hired 2,000 religious police to close down 547 night clubs, outlawing dancing. Sure, there’s good people over there, but the Iranian government is still the world’s largest supporter of terrorism. You’ll excuse me for thinking you’re really naive when you ignore the hatred and death Iran supports. I’m not a bloodthirsty warmonger, but I’m not about to cave to the weak-willed appeasers that let’s death rain down all over, so someone like you can make excuses for that hatred.

Anyone around the whole world who tells the truth, sticks up for the oppressed, and has a courageous heart is going to be a target soon as the last days global enslavement starts to become established. Sad, Amirsalar looks a bit like Jon Snow from Game of Thrones. He could’ve been an actor but he’s going to get whipped to death. Nothing like an evil ideology that leads to the destruction of its own population.
Imagine that millions of people still know nothing about this death cult that is destroying so many lives today. Meanwhile Leftards are working overtime to protect Islam and to prevent any criticism of this cult and its dangerous members.
