Top House Republican Points To ‘Several Indications’ Peter Strzok Was FBI Leaker
A top House Republican is asking the Justice Department’s inspector general whether Peter Strzok is the former FBI official accused of leaking sensitive materials to the press and accepting gifts from a reporter.

Doug Collins, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter Thursday to Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department inspector general (IG), inquiring about the identity of a former FBI deputy assistant director (DAD) who was investigated for unauthorized contacts with the press.
Collins said the description of the official in a summary of the IG investigation matches up with Strzok, who was fired from the FBI on Aug. 13, 2018, for sending anti-Trump text messages.
“While the DAD is not named in the Summary, there are several indications the DAD in question is former FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok,” Collins said, noting Strzok had been promoted to the position of deputy assistant director in the FBI’s Espionage Section in September 2016.
The IG found the FBI official accepted a $225 ticket from a reporter to a media-sponsored event. The official also had “dozens” of unauthorized contacts with the media, and provided law enforcement sensitive information to reporters on “multiple” occasions. The official was investigated for possible contempt of court for leaking information that had been filed under seal. Prosecution was declined in the case, the IG summary said.
He said the Acting Inspector General of Police has ordered the Criminal Investigations Department to conduct an investigation into the report.
Collins also referred to an IG report released in 2018 regarding the FBI’s handling of investigations of Hillary Clinton. That report said Strzok forwarded documents from his FBI email account to his personal account. The documents contained information related to the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails that had been filed under seal.
The report stated “[m]ost troubling, on October 29, 2016, Strzok forwarded from his FBI account to his personal email account an email about the proposed search warrant the Midyear team was seeking on the Weiner laptop. This email included a draft of the search warrant affidavit, which contained information from the Weiner investigation that appears to have been under seal at the time in the Southern District of New York … ”
Strzok was the only assistant deputy director involved in the Clinton email investigation, Collins said.
Collins posed four questions for the inspector general:
- Is Peter Strzok the DAD referenced in the report?
- Was this case referred to the Department of Justice for prosecution?
- Did the Department decline to prosecute? If so, why?
- Was the appropriate federal court notified an FBI agent disclosed to the media existence of information that had been filed under seal? If not, why not? If so, what, if any, action was taken by the Court?
The Office of the Inspector General declined comment on the matter. An attorney for Strzok did not respond to a request for comment on Collins’s allegations.
Strzok led the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign, and also worked on the Clinton email probe. He worked on the special counsel’s investigation until late July 2017, when he was removed because of text messages he exchanged with Lisa Page, an FBI attorney.
Strzok and Page were heavily critical of Donald Trump in the texts. In a text Aug. 8, 2016, Strzok told Page “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming president.

Why did the DOJ inspector general (Horowitz) decline to comment on the matter?
The FISA court judges were Obama appointees – which is why nothing happened there when a rabbit trail of injustice led that way.
For weeks, we’ve been told, on Fox News no less that when Horowitz releases his report, that then, heads will really roll. Is this really so? Is the Deep State really quaking with fear about their supposed fate? Lately, Hillary and Comey can’t keep their mouths shut. What know they that we do not?

To be fair, Trump and the Republicans needed to make a clear progression
– 1. clear out the tyrant class from the FBI and DOJ
– no prosecutions could work while the anti-democracy people were in control
– this was mostly done by the time Sessions was fired
2. Re-stock the FBI and DOJ with fair minded impartial people
– Barr is one of them, and new hires are continuing
– Wray [FBI] is a holdover who must go
3. Prosecute the bad guys
– this would not have worked previously

The Obama Administration embedded thousands of Strzok types throughout the DOJ and the senior federal burearcy all of whom are working to block, slow, divert Trump’s efforts to restore the Republican drain the swamp. They are civil service protected and hard to dislodge.It will take years to root them out.
