Most of CNN’s anchors are awful. However, none are more dishonest, hateful, and despicable than Don Lemon. So it is not a surprise that Lemon would trivialize the Holocaust, by comparing the pro-Jewish President Trump to Hitler. Under Jeff Zucker (who is Jewish) CNN is America’s most anti-Semitic and anti-Israel news network, which says a-lot given the stiff competition for this title. The good news is that few are watching.

CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo debated Tuesday evening whether it is fair to compare President Trump to Adolf Hitler:
“It starts with little lies that become bigger lies,” Lemon argued. “Well, just saying. Be careful.”
DON LEMON, CNN HOST: But think about the despicable people we’ve had in history. OK? Now I’m going to use an extreme example. Think about Hitler. Think about any of those people. Would you say that that person is allowed — or let’s put it this way?
If you could look back on in history would you say well, I’m so glad that that person was allowed a platform so that they could spread their hate and propaganda and lies? Or would say it probably wasn’t the right thing to do to spread that because you knew in the moment that that was a bad person. And they were doing bad things. Not only were they hurting people. They were killing people. And so, I just think that —
CUOMO: Well, I think that the example matters. And that’s a very extreme example, rhetoric that you don’t like.
LEMON: But laws rhetoric and laws —
CUOMO: Could it be a slippery slope towards violence?
LEMON: — and policy are detrimental to people.
CUOMO: Maybe or maybe not.
LEMON: And it also — and it also — listen, for people like me, how this president feels about the Central Park Five that can be a life or death issue for people like me. That can be especially a life or death issue for those people who spent decades, a decade, some of them, or more in prison. They didn’t have a life.
He took a big part of their life away. People like him who believed it and who wanted it to be true took a part of their lives away.
[22:04:57] And people — and for — you know, demonizing immigrants and talking about shit hole countries and saying that there are very fine people on both sides. For people of color in this country it is a life or death issue.
Ask Mrs. Heyer, Heather Heyer’s mother who I had on. That is a life or death issue. So, you know, I’m just saying we just need to be careful about having this is a standard rule. This is not standard. This is not normal.
CUOMO: I don’t think that it’s standard.

Philip, there are a number of wonderful lines in the BBC series, I, Claudius. I cannot remember the circumstances exactly, but someone was trying to justify his or her conduct during the reign of Tiberious (Caligula?) by telling Claudius somethng to the effect of, “Well, we all did what we needed to in those times.”
To which Claudius, superbly acted by Sir Derek Jacobi, replied with a withering response:
“Yes, but some of us did them a little more willingly, didn’t we?”

IQ is not the only measurement of intelligence, moreover, IQ has nothing even remotely to do with “race.” “Race” is a total construction of every racist’s imagination. “Race” is employed whenever it might possibly be “useful” to racists to segregate humanity by arbitrary, superficial, outward appearances. There is no such thing as “race.” We are all humans, one single biological species: Homo sapiens. There is no getting around that fact, unless one really wants to. Once one does, the question immediately must be asked: why one is. No human is genetically inferior to any other human. Individual results may vary but it has nothing to do with “race.” Star-bellied Sneetches are still, biologically, Sneetches.

Your hatred makes your arguments weak and diluted. Just because you seem to feel a need to prove something to yourself makes your overall thrust impotent and, frankly, quite jocular.

Honestly asking: are black cats more intelligent cats than white cats? If so, why? If not, why? Is what makes a cat more or less intelligent, the color of it’s fur? How could that possibly work? Fur neurons? What about orange cats? Are they super superior cats to you or super inferior cats to you? What about cats with both black and white fur, are they mediocre somehow? How? How does their appearance possibly influence their cognitive ability? Osmosis? Quantitative Easing? Quantum mechanics? “The Force?” How?

Point one: Hitler was for a large part of his life a loser, apart from getting the Iron Cross in WW1 he achieved nothing until he discovered a talent for public speaking. Trump is a on the other hand is well educated and a highly successful business man.
Second point: The economic conditions in the early thirties do not exist today. Especially in Germany the economic and political conditions were absolutely egregious with armed gangs of former soldiers fighting in the streets and a strong communist faction. It is nonsense to talk about a threat of fascism. Germany’s economy was in ruins largely due to the
extortionate reparations impose by the Versaille treaty. The only fascism in the West is that practised by Islam.
Third point: Hitler coming to power was by no means inevitable or unstoppable. The simple fact that Hitler had to abolish all opposition to him as soon as he gained the Chandellorship shows that.

That’s just ignorant. The NAZIs, Hitler, Goebbels, etc., didn’t tell little lies. They believed, correctly so, that people were more willing to believe one big lie than many little lies. Joe Goebbels even explained, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
It is painfully obvious to many people, while many more people are painfully oblivious, exactly which political party today that this works for. NAZIs were Socialists. Democrats are moving quickly to being Socialists.
