Republicans Ask DOJ Why Qatar-Owned Al Jazeera Isn’t Registered As Foreign Agent

Why, indeed? The Democrat party of jihad, that’s why.

For years, I have exposed the TV terror network of Al Jazeera — I have held press conferences and protests, and have written numerous pieces exposing the terror network’s terror network.

Despite decades of evidence, American leftist leaders led by Hillary Clinton and Al Gore, consistently aligned with evil ideologies and  jihad, have long worked furiously to norm and mainstream al-Jazeera, the terror propaganda network. Remember, Al Jazeera is Hillary’s favorite channel, which she lauded: “it’s real news!”

And while she was Secretary of State, Clinton went out of her way to single out Al Jazeera for praise: “You’ve got a global — a set of global networks — that Al Jazeera has been the leader in, that are literally changing people’s minds and attitudes,” Clinton told that members of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

By contrast, Donald Rumsfeld called the broadcaster’s reporting “vicious, inaccurate and inexcusable,” and President George W. Bush joked about bombing it. Senior Bush officials caricatured the channel as an anti-Semitic, anti-American outlet for jihad incitement.

The Iraqi authorities have shut down the Al Jazeera channel’s Baghdad office, accusing Qatar’s state-funded TV network of inciting violence and sectarianism.

Flashback: Congress Fails to Act Against Gore’s Al Jazeera’s Terror TV Deal

Republicans Ask DOJ Why Qatar-Owned Al Jazeera Isn’t Registered As Foreign Agent

By Chuck Ross, Daily Caller, June 19, 2019:

A group of Republican lawmakers is asking the Justice Department whether Al Jazeera Media Network should be required to register as foreign agent of Qatar.

Republicans said Al Jazeera appears to promote the goals of the Qatari government by “influenc[ing] public opinion in the United States” in a letter to Attorney General William Barr on Tuesday.

“[O]ne can reasonably infer that Al Jazeera is a messaging tool for the Qatari government, and, on its behalf, has engaged in inherently political activities and sought to influence public opinion in the United States,” reads the letter, which six senators and two members of Congress signed.

That assessment matches what a former U.S. ambassador to Qatar wrote about Al Jazeera in a diplomatic cable in 2009.

Al Jazeera “is heavily subsidized by the Qatari government and has proved itself a useful tool for the station’s political masters,” Joseph LeBaron, who served as ambassador to Qatar in the Bush and Obama administrations, wrote in a July 1, 2009, diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks.

“The station’s coverage of events in the Middle East is relatively free and open, though it refrains from criticizing Qatar and its government. Al Jazeera’s ability to influence public opinion throughout the region is a substantial source of leverage for Qatar, one which it is unlikely to relinquish,” added LeBaron.
