Bernie Sanders: Would Move U.S. Embassy in Israel Out of Jerusalem to Get a Peace Deal,

Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a candidate for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, affirmed he would move the U.S. embassy in Israel out of Jerusalem if it were needed to get some kind of peace deal in the Middle East.
Sanders would not offer specifics when pressed by “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd but added his goal was to “bring people together” in the name of peace.
TODD: A couple of questions. I’m curious. On the issue of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, would you move it back out of Jerusalem, if you thought it was a way to get a peace deal?
SANDERS: Yeah. I think it’s something that we should — I can’t give you a definitive answer, but yeah. The answer is, look, whether it is Iran and Saudi Arabia, whether it is Israel and the Palestinians, the United States needs to bring people together, needs an even-handed policy. In Saudi Arabia, for example, for decades, we have supported a murderous regime which fights democracy every single day. So I want an even-handed policy which brings people together.
TODD: Would you move the embassy, now, out of Jerusalem? Or would you keep it there for the present?
SANDERS: Look, Chuck, that is — we’ll take that one step at a time. It’s something — you know, bottom line is, we need to be a — we are the most powerful country on Earth. Let’s bring people together and try to bring peace.

Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) relationship with the former Soviet Union is not a revelation, especially including the fact that he and his wife Jane honeymooned there. But hours of video footage Politico viewed and reported on shows the presidential candidate’s connection to Russia has continued for more than 30 years.
Sanders’ recorded journey begins in 1988 when he and Jane traveled to the city of Yaroslavl.
Politico reported:
The mood is festive as the two bestow the items: A Beatles album, a red “Bernie for Burlington” button, “delicious Vermont candy” and a tape of tunes Sanders recorded himself with fellow artists from Vermont, among other goodies.
“I have met many fine mayors in the United States,” Sanders says, “but I want to say that one of the nicest mayors I’ve ever met is the mayor of Yaroslavl.”
At another point, a member of Sanders’ delegation hands a Russian woman a small American flag. “If you’re wondering what’s wrong with capitalism, it’s made in Hong Kong,” he jokes. “Sorry about that.”
Some of the footage has already gone viral after someone who works at Vermont’s Chittenden County Channel 17 posted a few minutes of video online.
“The clip featured a shirtless Sanders and other Americans singing ‘This Land Is Your Land’ to their hosts after relaxing in a sauna. A few minutes later, Sanders doled out the gifts to his Russian friends with a towel wrapped around his waist,” Politico reported.
The video footage also shows Bernie sitting with his U.S. delegation at a table beneath a portrait of Vladimir Lenin, a ruthless dictator responsible for the deaths of millions of his people.
Politico reported Sanders’ goal was to develop a “sister city” relationship between Burlington, Vermont, where he was mayor, and Yarolavl, a city on the edge of the Volga River.
“By encouraging citizen-to-citizen exchanges — of young people, artists and musicians, business people, public officials, and just plain ordinary citizens,” Sanders said in a speech, “we can break down the barriers and stereotypes which exist between the Soviet Union and the United States.”
“The video also paints a fuller picture of why Sanders ventured to the land of America’s No. 1 enemy in the midst of the Cold War, the anti-war idealism that fueled his journey, and what he found when he got there,” Politico reported, which said Sanders was worried about the nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia.

Sander’s represents everything that is wrong with the Democratic party. He talks about making concessions, but he fails to recognize that the Arab mentality will never accept Israel, and that they intend to obliterate the Jews, then they will move onto the others. He represents a naivety that refuses to take into account reality. He, like the so-called “Green Deal,” although idealistic, must be dramatically cut back when considering these modern times and the unavoidable cost of what is being proposed. He and others within that party intend to raise taxes and I doubt that they have given any thought on how they will spend those funds judiciously, and how that might actually adversely affect the economy. Though i agree that weapons can be controlled, especially assault military weapons, taking guns completely away just will not work, but they fail to see that. I hope that the next election beats down dramatically on the Democratic Party, and that people begin to see the nonsense being promoted by that party.

Old Man Marxist Bernie is irrelevant and delusional. After years of attempting to reach a peace deal with “Palestine,” why does he think moving the embassy out of Jerusalem will inspire the “Palestinians” to work on yet another peace initiative that they will, as always, reject. To the “Palestinian” mind, the elimination of the State of Israel and the murder of its population will only suffice.
