Harvard Lampoon Apologizes for Cartoon of Holocaust Victim Anne Frank in Bikini

The Harvard Lampoon, a venerated humor publication whose graduates often become top comedy writers in Hollywood, has apologized for a cartoon featuring Holocaust victim Anne Frank wearing a bikini.
Anne Frank was a Dutch Jewish teenager whose family was forced into hiding when the Nazis occupied the Netherlands. They were ultimately arrested and sent to concentration camps; Anne Frank died in Bergen-Belsen at the age of 15. Her diary survived the war, however, and was later published as The Diary of a Young Girl. The book became an instant classic, and Anne Frank has become one of the Holocaust’s most widely-recognized victims.
Story continues below advertisementIn its most recent issue, the Lampoon published a photoshopped image of Anne Frank’s face on the body of a buxom, bikini-clad woman (above), under the headline: “Gone Before Her Time: Virtual Aging Technology Shows Us What Anne Frank Would Have Looked Like if She Hadn’t Died.” A caption below reads: “Add this to your list of reasons the Holocaust sucked.”
Complaints and protests mounted. One Harvard student, Jenny Baker, protested on Facebook — but her post was apparently taken down by Facebook because it included an image of the Lampoon cartoon itself.
In a publicly shared Google Doc, Baker re-posted the cartoon and her protest:
There are so many things wrong with this I actually don’t know where to begin.
1. Holocaust jokes? Never okay.
2. Sexualizing a young girl’s body? Never okay.
3. Sexualizing ANNE FRANK and saying it is a shame she was ruthlessly murdered because of her religion because she would have been hot? So unbelievably not okay.
In a statement published on its website Tuesday evening, the Lampoon said:
In the past few days, the Lampoon has heard from many whom we hurt with content from the latest issue of our magazine, specifically a Photoshopped image of Anne Frank. We realize the extent of offense we have inflicted and understand that we must take responsibility for our actions.
We as individuals and we as an organization would like to apologize for our negligence in allowing this piece to be created for and printed in our latest issue. We are sorry for any harm we have caused. Furthermore, we want to both affirm and emphasize that the Lampoon condemns any and all forms of anti-Semitism.
Moving forward, we will approach the content of our magazine with greater care.
The magazine also promised to change its editorial review process.
In 2015, the Lampoon pranked then-candidate Donald Trump by pretending to be the editorial staff of the Harvard Crimson, the daily student newspaper, and endorsing him for president. He posed for photographs with the group.

Just think how many laughs the rotten, immoral, degenerates at Harvard could get out of the ongoing genocide of Nigerian Christians? Or maybe the slaughter of upwards of 2.5 million Hindus in Bangladesh? Or the slaughter of from 200,000 to 800,000 kafir in E. Timor? There’s lot’s of untapped comedy potential in there for the degenerate, atheist left!

Some might consider what crimes Miss Anne Frank was guilty of. Did she not have the right to the life God gave her ?
Why did she have to die at 15 ?
If “someone somewhere” was to paint a picture of little mo wearing a dress and being humped by a pig, would that be “edgy” enough for progressives or would it be ignored in silence ?

Just look what Ms. Geller went through. Muslims were so upset with her Mohammad drawing contest, they issued a fatwa for her beheading. Muslims trying to do that were caught, charged and punished. You can be sure that others out there still want to do that and would do it if given an opportunity.
Speaking of pervert Mohammad, he didn’t hate all Jews. After conquering a village he raped er “married” one. She was forced to watch her parents be slaughtered and that night he had a “honeymoon” with her. Can you imagine what emotional condition she was in? She was JEWISH and he knew it.

Lefties know if they make fun of Muslims they could lose their heads. They just don’t fear nor respect Jews and clearly many of them are closet anti-semites, which is why they seem to have common cause with Muslims.
What these idiots never realize until it is too late is that Muslims have their own ‘Final Solution’ for not just Jews and Conservatives but Leftists as well. They don’t understand all of us are nothing but infidels, fire logs ready to be burned in hell (as their Quran tells them).

This paper is run by under graduate students. Notice how NO NAME or NAMES are put forward that did the photo shopping of the photo or had their usual GROUP THINK on a “project”. How come people aren’t identified? How come the people involved aren’t booted off the paper? How come the editor didn’t pull it? Too many questions and no answers. Look at how Pam Geller was treated with her Mohammad drawing contest. A fatwa went out on her for her beheading and losers tried to make that happen with the FBI winking at the situation. It appears you can COUNT ON A DOUBLE STANDARD and that is not a good sign. It’s becoming consistent and predictable.

Oh, this is bad. Not funny at all. Did you know what that she and her family had to go through? Do you know the MIRACLE of that book?
Nearly every girl has read that book. A very poignant book about war desecrated by a stupid infantile joke.
It is IMO one of the most unusual book of all time, if not, thee most unusual book EVER. You see, it was never meant to be read and it was for an audience of one, and written by one of the youngest authors who never saw the fame it would bring.
Anne certainly would have been SHOCKED and possibly embarrassed that her book became a best seller and sold millions posthumously.
I believe it won a couple of awards also. The book was made into a play and then a movie which mesmerized the young audience wherever it was played at that time.

I’ve noticed that all the anti-Jewish cartoons make publication, then hastily removed and an ‘apology’ issued.
But the point has already been made, the message has been put out there. If anyone thinks it’s all a mistake they’re kidding themselves. It’s all planned.

this was a new low for Harvard. That school needs to get nothing from anyone who has any moral sense at all. IF the graduates of Harvard were to receive the information about Their school condoning this kind of behavior, the faculty would be changing soon. I can’t even believe that this school or alumni would go along with this.
