Louis Farrakhan Delivers Anti-Semitic Speech About ‘Satanic Jews’ At Chicago Catholic Church, Pastor Won’t Apologize
Daily Wire, May 12, 2019:
Chicago’s archbishop, Cardinal Blaise Cupich, was forced to apologize to the city’s Jewish community after controversial priest, Fr. Michael Pfleger, invited the virulently anti-Semitic leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, to deliver a speech from the pulpit of St. Sabina church.

Pfleger, who is often at the center of controversy, and well-known for his outspokenness on social justice issues, says he invited Farrakhan after Farrakhan was booted from Facebook as a way of demonstrating his commitment to preserving the freedom of speech. The idea was to allow Farrakhan to refute allegations that he preaches hatred against the Jewish people.
Pfleger praised himself for extending the invitation ahead of the event Thursday night, labeling himself a “defender of free speech.”
But Farrakhan’s address was far from unifying. As he ascended the platform at St. Sabina’s last week, Farrakhan railed against “Satanic Jews” and referenced the sorting of Jewish prisoners at Auschwitz into lines destined for Nazi work camps and those those destined for gas chambers. Farrakhan claimed that he was imbued with the divine right to label some Jews “good” and some bad.
“I stand on God’s word,” Farrakhan told the crowd according to Haaretz, adding that he knows “the truth,” and that his mission is to “separate the good Jews from the Satanic Jews.”
After complaints from the Catholic and Jewish communities alike, the Archdiocese released a vague statement on Friday, distancing themselves from Pfleger’s event and insisting that Pfleger neither consulted with nor informed Archdiocesan official before inviting Farrakhan to speak. The Archdiocese also condemned “hatred,” though without referencing anti-Semitism directly — similar to the way the Women’s March avoided any mention of anti-Semitism after its leadership was accused of its own cozy relationship with the nation of Islam.
The event involving Minister Louis Farrakhan at St. Sabina Parish is not sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Cardinal Cupich was not consulted before Fr. Pfleger announced the event.
The framers of our Constitution included freedom of speech in the First Amendment because they knew that it was essential to a healthy democracy. Without this sacred right, injustice goes unchecked. This is precisely why it must never be abused.
There is no place in American life for discriminatory rhetoric of any kind. At a time when hate crimes are on the rise, when religious believers are murdered in their places of worship, we cannot countenance any speech that dehumanizes persons on the basis of ethnicity, religious belief, economic status or country of origin. We are all part of the human family, and we owe it to one another, our children — and our creator — to act that way.
Cardinal Cupich, who is typically tolerant of Fr. Pfleger’s antics, being heavily involved in social justice issues himself, appeared to notice that the Archdiocese statement was unsatisfying to Pfleger’s critics and issued one of his own late Friday night, condemning Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism in no uncertain terms.
“Minister Farrakhan could have taken the opportunity to deliver a unifying message of God’s love for all his children,” Cupich said. “Instead, he repeatedly smeared the Jewish people, using a combination of thinly veiled discriminatory rhetoric and outright slander.
“Antisemitic rhetoric — discriminatory invective of any kind — has no place in American public life, let alone in a Catholic church. I apologize to my Jewish brothers and sisters, whose friendship I treasure, from whom I learn so much, and whose covenant with God remains eternal,” the cardinal said.
Cupich encouraged Pfleger to seek out the counsel of the Illinois Holocaust Memorial Museum and invite someone from the museum to speak to St. Sabina’s in an effort to counteract the hate that Farrakhan preached from the church’s pulpit.
But both Farrakhan and Fr. Pfleger remain unapologetic about the incident.
“For those angry about me about coming to St. Sabina, how many would be angry with me meeting with Cardinal George and with the previous cardinal,” Farrakhan said in response to criticism, according to local Chicago media. “That kind of hatred is insanity.
“People who label Minister Farrakhan a hater have spent the past week spewing Hate ar me and St. Sabina….but i will continue to love, fight for justice and stand with my Brother,” Pfleger tweeted on Saturday.
Later, he compared himself to legendary Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Too many people have struggled and died for the right of free speech and I will continue to struggle to preserve it,” he said. “Anyone who knows me and my life’s work knows I have sought to fight for the Beloved Community that Dr. Martin Luther King called us to.”

But the Church, with its long history of anti-Semitism, will not do that. I had thought the American Church, at least, had rid itself of that blight, but it apparently lives and seems to be tolerated in some quarters.
Historically, I think popes, and even cardinals, have displayed much less anti-Semitism than rank-and-file priests, and that appears to be the case here.

Supremacy issues come from Psychological Inequality which comes from the lack of gender equality in the whole world. Feminism is a hate crime against women and children. Islam is a hate crime against women and children and non-muslims. And the LGBT ideologies are hate crimes against women and children.
It’s time we saw bearing and nurturing equal to protecting and providing and therefore bearer nurturers are equal to protector providers and then 1man+1woman+mutual offspring in self sufficient extended family community in traditional responsibilities as equals where the child is our highest priority can heal the people of earth once and for all.

Since when does a Priest in a Catholic church bring in a Jew hater for a sermon and then HIDE behind freedom of speech to justify it?

Jews and Christians are the target. It is Christianity that is the most persecuted religion on this earth and it is getting worse. Even liberal websites won’t deny that – they celebrate it!

On March 28, 2008, Pfleger invited Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, to deliver a blessing at Saint Sabina during a visit by poet Maya Angelou. Wright had been criticized by President Obama, academics and political pundits on the left and right for several controversial sermons, but Pfleger came to Wright’s defense. “I wanted him to come here so he could see that people really stand with him and support him while he’s under all this attack. America, unfortunately, has been really cheated of knowing the real Dr. Wright,” said Pfleger.[16]
In a statement on Saint Sabina’s website, Pfleger wrote, “Dr. Wright is one of the great biblical scholars of our country and the best of preachers in the prophetic tradition. And even though she made an appearance at every violent, far-left, radical cause’s events, ignorant conventional wisdom heaps praise on her as some sort of “peace activist.” She was no such thing. Angelou spoke at the racist, Jew-hating bigot Louis Farrakhan’s 1995 Million Man March and was a strong supporter of his Nation of Islam. Given this, it’s disgusting that, in 2001, Bill Clinton appointed Angelou to the board of the U.S. Holocaust Museum just before he left office, so there could be no firestorm or examination of her appointment. And, apparently, being on the board of the museum didn’t change a thing. Angelou spoke at 2006 New York rally honoring anti-American (and U.S. flag-burning), anti-Israel activist Rachel Corrie, who worked with Palestinian Islamic terrorists but was dubbed a “peace activist” because she was accidentally run over by a bulldozer when she attempted to stop Israelis from knocking down homes shielding tunnels through which her terrorist friends transported weapons and bombs to kill innocent civilians.
A supporter of Fidel Castro’s Communist revolution and takeover of Cuba from the beginning, Angelou never wavered in her fanaticism for the human rights oppressor and her denial of the awful state of the people there. All that mattered to her was that Castro’s revolutionary magazines published her crappy writing and that he didn’t identify as White. As she wrote in “The Heart of a Woman” (but only her gynecologist actually knows for sure if that was actually a woman)”
Of course, Castro never had called himself white, so he was O.K. from the git. Anyhow, America hated Russians, and as black people often said, “Wasn’t no Communist country that put my grandpappa in slavery. Wasn’t no Communist lynched my poppa or raped my mamma.” . . . I hovered with my friends on the edges of the crowd, enjoying the Spanish songs, the screams of “Viva Castro,” and the sounds of conga drums being played nearby in the damp night air. It was an ole and hallelujah time for the people of Harlem.
Angelou was an activist in trying to get cop-killing Muslim Mumia Abu-Jamal released from prison. And she wanted her many idiotic fans to know–on the 11th anniversary of 9/11–that Islam had nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorists. Gee, and you wonder why Muslims and other America-haters/Jew-haters loved her so much.
Attacking America and idolizing the far left is big money. Throughout all of this, Angelou made millions off of her indignant, lecturing speeches and appearances, attacking America from within, and laughing at her myriad stupid fans all the way to the bank . . . just like her good friend and ceaseless promoter, Oprah.
Maya Angelou did nothing good for America–not in her Grade A Gitmo Torture Material “writing” and “poems,” not in her many pretentious speeches and pronouncements.
But she’s being lauded today by the many liberal morons across America who worship at the altars of yoga, gluten-free, Priuses, and ADHD.
They like their gods empty.
Maya Angelou is one of those IQ tests pop culture presents us with all the time. If you’re a fan of Angelou, you failed miserably.
I hope she packed light because it’s very hot where she’s headed.

He’s about as “Catholic” as Nancy Pelosi … much less a Christian.
Calling Pfleger a “Catholic” is literally like calling Jim Jones a Christian. Pfleger is neither.

He’s got quite a history of social activism. He has a history of adopted troubled boys in defiance of the Catholic Church with no repercussions. Wikipedia is great for lefty info..
In 1981, Pfleger adopted an eight-year-old son, Lamar, in defiance of Cardinal John Patrick Cody, who had threatened to fire him if he went ahead with the adoption. Lamar graduated from college and got a job with Continental Airlines, which he lost after the September 11 attacks. He subsequently enlisted in the United States Army.[4] In 1992, Pfleger adopted another son, Beronti, who attended the University of Central Florida before his sudden death on May 20, 2012. Pfleger says his son had been coping with an illness the past few years. In 1997, Pfleger became the foster father to Jarvis Franklin, who was killed by stray gunfire on May 30, 1998.[5]
Later he was critical of Howard Stern and others. I guess he is selective on who he defends freedom of speech for. He is one confused guy….
Pfleger specifically objected to a pair of Stern’s billboards in Chicago that featured an image of the black power salute with the caption “Let freedom ring. And let it be rung by a stripper” (a parody of a line in Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech). Pfleger told the media, “As we prepare to celebrate Dr. King’s birthday, we will not tolerate this kind of disrespect. We should not have to tolerate it in our communities.” Viacom, the owner of the billboards, eventually removed the signs due to the protests. Pfleger received criticism from Stern’s fans, who questioned Pfleger’s commitment to freedom of speech. Jesse Jackson came to Pfleger’s defense, saying, “There are two freedoms at issue here. They have the right to advertise, and we have the right to resist it in our community. Sometimes freedom is challenged by a community’s tolerance level. I think Father Pfleger is a man of great dignity and has an acute social conscience. And he deserves our support.”[10]

what I am about to write may be disliked by the many who comment on this web site, but I feel the need to say it anyway. Before I start, I will state that I believe people like Farrakhan and those like him (such as our new Muslim reps) bellow their hate against other groups, especially the Jews, though their hate and animosity is based on false notions and are totally without any redeeming merit. Nevertheless, under our form of conduct they can, in my opinion spew their unfound and insupportable hate, AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT RAISE THEIR RHTORIC TO THE PROMOTION OF VIOLENCE. Those of us who are reasonable and right thinking people should easily be able to recognize what their hate is based on personal frustrations and phycological sickness, and that they are simply people who do not understand what being respectful and tolerant is all about. We can determine for ourselves that what they say has no merit, and we can reject their commentary accordingly. We can also freely state rebuttal to those who speak with hate. That is what our founding fathers were concerned with, as history had established that the despots of this world used the crushing of free speech to continue their control over the people. They did not want that to happen, but they never expected free speech to include the right to insight in any manner VIOLENCE. Therefore we all need to simply tune out, rebut and speak out in favor of tolerance and respect, the affect of which will act to crush those out there who relish in hate. That is my opinion.

For a priest to yield his pulpit to a non-Catholic priest let alone a non-Christian of any other denomination but to a pseudo-Muslim is unbelievable. Why not ask Satan himself to give a sermon in the name of free speech? Why anyone would stay during that message let alone remain as long as Pfleger is in charge is really a sad statement about the members of that parish. And now it is made known the archdiocese is unwilling to take action against Pfleger… does that mean the archdiocese agrees with Farrakhan’s message? In which case why would anybody stay with the Catholic Church at all… the infiltration of the antichrist seems to be pervasive in the Catholic Church! They won’t do what is right because doing what is right goes against their nature.
