Zeldin rips Pelosi for inviting ‘radical imam’ to address Congress
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for inviting a “radical imam” to speak before Congress.
“On Thursday, the noon prayer was given by an imam from Texas who has a long history of, not just supporting BDS, but comparing Israel to the Nazis, accusing Israel of being a terror regime, calling for a Palestinian intifada in the past and inciting violence, supporting the Muslim brotherhood and the list goes on,” Zeldin said Sunday on “The Cats Roundtable” on AM 970 in New York.
Story continues below advertisement“I think it is outrageous that Speaker Pelosi on this day, on Thursday, chose that radical imam to be speaking before Congress with that prayer,” he said.
Zeldin was speaking about Imam Omar Suleiman of Irving, Texas, who was introduced by Pelosi and gave a brief prayer before the House of Representatives.
Suleiman had been invited to speak by Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas). Suleiman is the president of the Yaqeen Institute of Islamic Research and a professor of Islamic studies at Southern Methodist University.
Suleiman’s social media presence shows that he supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement and has compared Israeli treatment of Palestinians to the Nazis in the past.
“I was sitting there in the first row … I was caught off guard by it quite honestly,” said Zeldin, who is Jewish.
“There was no announcement it was going to happen. The Speaker either, her team either failed to vet the imam, or worse, they did vet the imam and thought this was a good idea to bring him anyways. A bad call either way,” Zeldin added.
Pelosi’s office has yet to respond to a request for comment on whether Suleiman’s appearance was vetted.
Zeldin said he would have been OK with another imam coming to the House and leading the legislative body in prayer, but he linked Suleiman’s appearance to recent anti-Semitic acts and rhetoric that have occurred both inside and outside the walls of Congress.
“Not only did we have the synagogue shooting in California, we’ve had a series of statements made by Ilhan Omar, very concerning policy positions and rhetoric from Rashida Tlaib,” Zeldin said, referencing the two Muslim freshmen Democrats.
Omar got herself in trouble earlier this year by tweeting controversial comments about AIPAC and lawmakers’ support for the Israeli lobbying arm.
She was blasted on the right, and by a number of her Democratic colleagues, for using Jewish stereotypes.
Those that defended her excused her comments by saying she was critiquing Israel’s heavy influence on U.S. foreign policy.

What she says is true, it has gone on for centuries and in most recent decades of history, every time Israel caved into world demand that they placate the manufactured state of “Palestine” they got attacked. History is not taught in any school for fear of offending anyone but Christians and Jews.

In truth, even decades ago, I think the Republicans were the morally superior party in many ways, think of Reagan! And during the Cold War, their leadership was needed to counterbalance Communism.

No one, surely, is surprised by Pelosi’s invite to this Imam, a preacher of Jew-Hatred, Gay-Hatred and all that is not Islam. Most disturbing is, only one Congressman, Rep. Lee Zeldin, had the fortitude to blast Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic-KKK party for this repugnant invitation. If the American electorate cannot or refuses to discern that the Democrats are a party of treason, hatred, especially Jews and other non-Muslims; this Constitutional Republic’s future is in extreme jeopardy.

In this “race to the bottom” the UK Labour Party and American Democrats are engaged on, the depths both will plunge to in order to curry favour with some is great indeed because both are playing for high stakes, to the growing intemperate immigrant demographic brim full as they are with the entitlement and diversity agenda.
Take a moment to imagine this, what is to stop the unannounced spectacle of the cutting of a live sheep’s throat outside some great public building staged to honour some Islamic event or other that’s dear to the faithful { who would be present in noisy large numbers} in order for the “progressives” to demonstrate to their beloved new electoral base who they would be wise to vote for ?
CNN Film cameras would be rolling too doubtless protected by screaming pussy hat wearing Madonna lookalikes.
Other imported delights could be tried in the race to be “non judgemental” and “inclusive” , let’s see, how about who can beat a dog to death in the shortest time, or how about a thousand or two Shia swinging their flail knives across their backs together with the cutting of toddlers heads for allah.
Any steps the police take to stop this or a demonstration against would be labeled at once by all progressives as “racist” and “Islamophobic” or “Intolerant” of diversity and I would bet a £ to a shilling prominent well known anti conservative figures from the hard left and churches would be there adding their support.
When the time arrives for these kind of stunts, what will the reaction be of the political right ?
Remember,arrest, court and jail time beckons for interrupting the political class at their new progressive “devotions”.

I realize both nations- yours and mine- aren’t quite there yet, but fulfillment of your prophesy will be when an adulteress is stoned to death for the enjoyment of all to see,. Perhaps Hyde Park would be a good place for an initial celebration of this time-honored Islamic tradition.
