This idiotic statement by Joe Biden should be (and will be) an attack ad in states such as Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The former Vice President should tell the millions of American’s who have lost their jobs to China, that the Chinese are not competition for the United States.
Joe Biden saying that China is not competition for the United States is comparable to President Ford denying that the Soviet Union dominated Eastern Europe in 1976. Biden is clearly clueless and perhaps even compromised.
China decimated the American manufacturing sector under Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Close to 70,000 factories closed down, and most of the jobs that those factories supported were gifted to China. In fact, according to federal labor statistics, there were nearly five million fewer manufacturing jobs when Obama left office then there were when Bush 43 entered office in 2001.
During the Obama administration, America’s trade deficit with China skyrocketed as a result of one-sided trade agreements, that both Obama and Biden allowed to continue. China was allowed to manipulate their currency, making it impossible for American companies to be competitive. In addition, Obama and Biden turned a blind eye to the Chinese stealing tens of billions of dollars worth of American technology and intellectual property.
Currently the United States economy is the envy of the world, due to the pro-business policies of President Trump. However, if Trump loses to Biden or any of the other economically illiterate Democrats in 2020, Americans can kiss this incredible economic growth goodbye.
Joe Biden mocks China threat: ‘They’re “not bad folks” and “not competition for us,” American Military News, Laura Widener
Former Vice President and 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden downplayed China in a speech this week and declared that the communist nation isn’t a significant threat.
In a campaign trail speech delivered in Iowa City, Iowa, on Wednesday, Biden appeared to mock experts who have declared China as a top threat to the U.S., calling China “not bad folks” and “not competition for us.”“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man — They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the West. They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. They’re not bad folks, folks … They’re not competition for us,” he said. Biden’s spokesperson, Andrew Bates, defended Biden’s comments, saying they weren’t dismissive of China.
“As he has many times, Vice President Biden underscored that, whatever challenges we face as a nation, including those posed by a rising China, they pale in comparison to the structural and social challenges that confront China itself,” Bates told CNN in a statement. “Joe Biden believes it’s never a good bet to bet against America and the fundamental strength, resilience and ingenuity of its people.”
Biden’s remarks have already gained backlash.
Sen. Mitt Romney retweeted a transcript of Biden’s comments with the caption, “This will not age well.”
Rep. Bradley Byrne also spoke out again Biden’s comments, tweeting, “I was just at a manufacturing plant that is being threatened by China’s corrupt trade practices. Not to mention the national security threats they pose. Joe is plain wrong. China is absolutely a threat.”
President Trump: “Sleepy Joe doesn’t think China is a threat. Meanwhile, I am working on a great deal with China that puts AMERICA FIRST and protects our economy!”
Union workers see the amazing things happening in our country. Union bosses are not speaking for their workers. Their workers want President Trump!
