AG Barr Appoints U.S. Attorney To Investigate Origins Of Russia

Attorney General Bill Barr has appointed a U.S. attorney to investigate the origins of the Russia investigation and to determine if the FBI’s surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 was legal.
Story continues below advertisementThe Associated Press reported that a source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Barr “appointed John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry.”
“The inquiry will focus on whether the government’s methods to collect intelligence relating to the Trump campaign were lawful and appropriate,” The AP added. “Durham has previously investigated law enforcement corruption, the destruction of CIA videotapes and the Boston FBI office’s relationship with mobsters.”
In April, a Trump administration official told Fox News that Barr had assembled a team to investigate the origins of the FBI the Obama administration’s FBI counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.
“I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016,” Barr said during a congressional hearing in April.

Before I get all enthused about this, I’d like to know if Barr has a budget for this and some staff to investigate this.
If he doesn’t, it’s just smoke and mirrors to run out the clock. Just have to wait and see if anything really happens!

Looks like Barr is hot on the trail. A lot of indictments are going to occur very soon. For the FBI and DOJ officials noted in the poster and possibly even higher up, ie former cia director , ex president, and ex sec. of state , there is a way for any of them to save some of their self respect. Give each of them, if they so choose, a pistol with one bullet in the chamber, and a little privacy.

Oh don’t worry. By the time they gather the facts, interview all the witnesses, shuffle some papers, overturn every stone, it’ll be 2067 and everyone involved will either have died off, or will not be able to ‘recall’ anything about the case. So, it’s going pretty well.

You are right to a certain extent but don’t forget that it is Trump that has the final ace (declassification of any / all government work product after the necessary sources & methods / national security redactions) he can spring when ever he wants… If in the eyes of Trump, Barr WILL NOT be serious enough about this investigation (depth / width / speed / accountability…), he can open the “can of worms” / Pandora’s box wide open in such a way (what and when) that will put also Barr on the wrong side of history…
Suspecting ALL US government employees at this juncture is not only 100% justified but the only sensible thing to do…Beyond his stellar record / reputation, Barr In his behavior / demeanor / statements I think showed some signs of being a genuine “straight shooter” that wants to get to the truth (not to mention the ‘Kavanaugh treatment’ he received which would open the eyes of any one re the clear and present danger posed to America by rabid / corrupt / degenerate / insane democrats)
I am sure that Barr is savvy enough to understand that if he suddenly goes ‘deep state’ / dark side (i.e. ‘establishment’), Trump will punish him by way of declassification expose’s
I think to point of no return has come and gone for the Traitors of the Democratic party, including HO & his minions
