Once again Geraldo Rivera used his position on Fox News to defend anti-Semites and trash Israel. Rivera actually defended Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s anti-Semitic statements about the Holocaust, and her attempts to rewrite history by saying that the Palestinians provided a safe haven for the Jews during the Holocaust. Rivera stated that “She is being taken out of context in a grotesque way.” Well, what is in fact grotesque is Geraldo Rivera. He has been for a long time.
Rivera’s statements are typical of him. Rivera is a jihad apologist and has a deep-seated bias against Israel. For example, in 2014 Rivera viciously attacked Israel on Fox News for defending its citizens against Hamas rockets during Operation Protective Edge.
In a recent segment of the Sean Hannity Show Rivera exonerated the Palestinians contributions to the Holocaust. Rivera stated that “To say that the Palestinians have some responsibility for the Holocaust is so historically inaccurate”. Rivera is lying. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, enjoyed a significant collaboration with high level Nazis. Al-Husseini bragged openly about his relationship with Heinrich Himmler. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that al-Husseini helped persuade Hitler to launch the Final Solution, to prevent Europe’s Jews from escaping to what is now Israel. Palestinians brutally resisted Jewish immigration to British controlled Mandatory Palestine. The Palestinians also terrorized and murdered Jews who were able to escape Europe to what is now Israel.
In an attempt to further corroborate Tlaib, Rivera went on to say that the Palestinians lost their homeland when modern Israel was established. This is another lie. There was not at any time a Palestinian state. Rivera failed to mention that the Palestinians rejected statehood in the 1948 UN Partition Plan. Instead the Palestinians joined 5 Arab countries and went to war with Israel. The Arabs who left Israel did so on their own volition. The Arab’s who did not leave Israel became Israeli citizens. In addition, over 900,000 Jews were expelled from Arab lands in the years after Israel was established, which very few (if any) in the mainstream media ever discuss. Rivera would then say that “for 52 years the Palestinians have lived in occupied territory” but failed to mention how the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel, have launched thousands of rockets and terror attacks against Israeli citizens, and have refused generous offers for statehood since the end of the Six Day War in 1967
Rivera is a peace of garbage to spread such lies about Israel. Rivera is just another useful idiot for the Jew-hating Left. Rivera would go on to spew more nonsense in this segment. Rivera said that he loves Israel and that he is a Zionist (he is absolutely not) and that he has a tattoo of the Star of David on his hand. So what! What does his stupid tattoo have to do with anything? Rivera will often do what many anti-Israel Jews do: exploit their Judaism to legitimize their anti-Israel bias. Bernie Sanders does that all the time.
It is really perplexing as to why the Fox News executives chose to have Rivera on the network as a correspondent. He is not intelligent, he is not insightful, and he likely angers many of the Fox News audience with his idiotic and Left-wing views. Kudos to Dan Bongino for standing up to this moron.
Geraldo Rivera defends Rep. Rashida Tlaib during Fox News appearance. “She is being taken out of context in a grotesque way”, Newsweek, Donica Phifer, May 16, 2019:
Fox News correspondent-at large Geraldo Rivera jumped in with both feet during an appearance on the network’s Hannity Tuesday, defending freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib regarding remarks she made about the Holocaust that have been called controversial by some.
Show host Sean Hannity began the segment by calling Tlaib’s fellow freshmen Rep. Omar Ilhan and Tlaib “a problem” before referencing a pair of social media posts to Twitter and Facebook in 2014 by Omar Suleiman, a Muslim Iman who delivered a prayer on May 9 in front of the House of Representatives. While Omar (D-Minn.) praised Suleiman’s remarks on Twitter, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) criticized the invitation of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to Suleiman, citing an alleged history of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks.
