Just to be clear, school plays starring Hitler are a bad idea. Shame on this Tennessee school. I spent time in Tennessee and the attitude of some Tennesseans towards Jews was reprehensible. Robert Spencer and I were there to fight Obama’s vow to impose sharia restrictions on social media and even though Spencer is not Jewish, he looks Jewish. We could not walk down Broadway or into one of the honky-tonks without someone making some nasty antisemitic comment to him. I was shocked. I had no idea.

11-year-old sent to principal’s office for telling students to stop Nazi salutes

(Keith Jacks Gamble/Twitter)An 11-year-old Tennessee girl who told her classmates to stop making the Nazi salute was sent to the principal’s office, her father said in a tweet in which he asked the public to send her messages of support.
Keith Jacks Gamble, chair of the Department of Economics and Finance at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreeboro, Tennessee, posted his request on Tuesday.
Gamble said that a student at his daughter’s McFadden School of Excellence in Murfreesboro was assigned to play Hitler for the school’s Living History project and to make the Sieg Heil salute. After students started to make the salute all over school, his daughter told them privately that she thought it was wrong.
At the final rehearsal for project, students returned “Hitler’s” salute, leading Gamble’s daughter to shout “Stop it, put your hands down!” His daughter was removed from the room for being “disrespectful,” according to a timeline Gamble posted in a screenshot on Twitter. She was then sent to the principal’s office.
“Each time, my daughter spoke out even though she was told by a teacher ‘not to address it.’ She has been bullied by classmates and targeted personally with Nazi salutes, so school feels lonely sometimes,” Gamble tweeted.

The screenshots show that a teacher told Gamble’s wife that their daughter was given “an open platform at that time to appropriately voice her concerns and share with her peers her feelings, then she was asked to not address it again.”
James Evans, a spokesman for Rutherford County Schools, said in a statement to BuzzFeed News on Tuesday: “The student was not disciplined or punished in any way for her concerns or actions. In fact, the school agrees the actions of the students were completely inappropriate.”
She was taken out of the room to calm down, according to the district.
Evans also told BuzzFeed that the school has decided that future projects will not include Hitler or the salute.
During the awards ceremony for the project, several students gave the salute when the student who portrayed Hitler went up to receive her award and were not reprimanded. When Gamble’s daughter accepted an award, she called on parents to talk to their children about why it is not right to make the salute.

Fully agree with you, 601rainyday. However, the elite have structured society as to not make that possible. I’m sixty-five and was of the last group to be able to support a family on one income. However, today … unless you’re kicking some serious ching-ching … it simply ain’t possible. One can tighten their belts, live in a sub 2,000 square foot home (if you can find one in a neighborhood that ain’t the ghetto), live Spartan-like, and still not be able to get by on one income. For that group, a private school is simply, economically, out of the question. Moreover, since it requires both spouses being employed to even live a Spartan lifestyle … homeschooling is not an option either. Cutting out cable, cellular phones, setting thermostats at 58F, in winter and not running AC, at all, in summer … Still not enough for both spouses not to work. So, for the vast majority of Americans … gumming skeeyowuls is the only option. Therefore, right minded Americans need to band together and change the public schools. Academically, socially, morally, and intellectually, they must be changed.

Oh! Like this is supposed to be okay? This is worse than anti-Semitism…it’s destroying children’s minds. I’d like to ask, where are the parents’ intervention? It took an innocent and courageous 11-year-old to demonstrate the stupidity and diabolical acts of her school superiors. Yet Ilhan Omar can get away with her anti-Semitism because she’s a Muslim.

She CLAIMS to be a Muslim, although there is no proof. She clearly supports violence and hatred, and with Islam claiming to be “peaceful”, she cannot be a Muslim. She makes Islam look bad therefore Muslims must eliminate her or they aren’t Muslim, therefore they must be eliminated as well. With any luck, Muslims will soon eliminate themselves. The last Muslim will be found sitting in a pigpen eating bacon and shooting straight up in the air, intending to kill the last Muslim.

I have two adult sons. Successful, on their own – never stepped foot in a public school. Expensive – not really when the result is their education. Well they did step foot in a public school when they came with me when I voted. Couldn’t believe the stuff they read on the walls. Yes even at a young age.
And now, older, at work, interacting with what has been turned out by public education… they just can’t believe how stupid those that work with them are, or under them are. When they tell me stories they sound like their old man, me.
How dad, why dad etc…how can they be so stupid? Public schools. liberals, lazy, stupid government school workers and on and on

Here in parts of Canada, school systems have lowered pass marks or eliminated exams completely, as failing offends those who don’t do their work. The Edmonton School System fired a teacher for giving a mark of ‘0’ to students who didn’t hand in assignments. The Principal gave those students a mark of 50%, claiming they must have known at least half the curriculum. The pass mark is now 50%.

They do the same here in the US. Go to an awards ceremony where every child gets an award just for breathing. Is there any wonder why college students today think that socialism is a good idea? I saw a street interview where they were asked if socialism was a good idea and they all said yes.
Then the guy said if they took all of the grades of the students in a class, averaged them together and gave that averaged grade to every student in the class all of them said “no way, I worked hard to get my grade.”
These cupcakes were all for socialism as long as it didn’t personally cost them anything.

Look at the schools in California. 50 yrs ago, they were the Best of the Best! 5-6 yrs ago, Professional educational association ranked them 38’th, TIED with Washington state, Utah, & West Virginia. In past year, ranked 41’st in Nation! TOO Busy teaching English to those who don’t KNOW any of the language. 1 in 6 households in CA do NOT speak English in the homes. LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) BOASTS a high school graduation rate in a GOOD year of 60%; Average year it’s 50%. LAUSD in last 2-3 yrs LOWERED their graduation requirements to a “D” average- That year, if they hadn’t lowered it, 25-35% of the graduating class WOULDN’T have graduated. (This was reported in LA Times, which is NOT a right wing “rag”!) My spouse & I saw this in Middle CA in 1980’s-1990’s, for his children’s high school graduation: 30% of the graduating class DIDN’T!

I was about to make the same argument. They’re KIDS!. When boys find out they can get a rise making NAZI salutes, they’re gonna make NAZI salutes. When I was their age, growing up on an US Army base in Germany (circa 1964, Heidelberg), we were goose-stepping out of the lunch room! The “adults” on this forum need to get a grip. If the girl was getting her panties in wad, she needed to go to the principle’s office.

Absolutely agree. If the shoe was on the other foot – if some kid had raised hell b/c someone wore a Christian cross or a Jewish star, everyone here would be running around like their hair’s on fire. Many of the people here are being just what they accuse the leftists of being – hypocrites! They support “freedom of speech; freedom of expression” except when they disagree with it. Start this kind of censorship, and your turn may be next. This is a slippery slope, folks!

Hmm… I’m not sure we’re on the same page benz. These ARE conservatives complaining here. I suspect they’re thinking (mistakenly) that the school is supporting the NAZI salute, when actually the school just wants to get back to normal without an hysterical girl continually making a scene over the minor behavior of some misguided boys.

Yes, they are conservatives (as am I), but in losing their minds over this they are behaving like the liberals they abhor. I’m saying that if a snowflake threw a tantrum b/c of a Christmas manger play or exhibit, they would all be squealing about “freedom of speech…” By the way, I miss Heidelberg, having lived and attended the university there several times (1970’s).

This is one Tennesseean (via Montana), who supports that patriotic youngster and wishes her well and hopes the commie teachers who ‘thunk’ up this play/program will get off the socialist kool-aid and get back to teaching real school, as in the 3 R’s and not all this feel-good/PC garbage! I also hope the parents of those ‘Nazi’ ‘actors’ teach their kids how stupid it is to carry on with their actions toward this fine example of an American Patriot. Do/Did they stop for even one second to ask themselves how many of our brave American soldiers died or were were forever damaged (both mentally and physically) by that piece of human excrement that they are holding up as a ‘hero’? I’m an Army Vet and I think these commie school-teachers are just taking advantage of the freedoms that our servicemen/women have fought and died to give them! I hope that someday, they wake up, before it’s too late!

A lot of this BS could be eliminated if each state had a school voucher system in place allowing parents to decide where they want their children to go to school. The public school cares more about getting their “butt in the seat” attendance ADA money than they do the well being and education of the students. Currently if you desire a private or home school education, where the students still have to pass state proficiency exams like in public school, you not only pay for that cost but you still pay the costs for public school in your taxes, Most parents cant afford that so their children are forced to attend public school where this sort of thing thrives and have no choice about it. Financial discrimination.
