A powerful explosion was caught on camera during a major blaze in the French capital’s 19th arrondissement. Paris firefighters struggling to put out the fire in a multistory building still do not know if there are people inside. Firefighters spokesman Gabriel Plus told BFMTV that it is too early to know the origin of the fire. He said it began on both the outside and inside of the building and raged through the third through sixth floors. He did not clarify.

The blaze, which erupted somewhere between the first and fifth floors of the eight-story building at the intersection of Macdonald Boulevard and Pierre Mollaret, began around 9pm local time. Witnesses heard at least one violent explosion, which was recorded and has been widely shared on social media.

Around 100 firefighters and multiple firetrucks and ambulances were immediately dispatched to scene in an effort to contain the blaze, which, a fire department spokesman said, spread quickly and engulfed several floors.

“We have managed to contain the fire,” the spokesperson for the capital’s fire service, Gabriel Plus, told reporters, while also stating that his personnel had, so far, reported no casualties. “A number of people had evacuated before our arrival.”

The fire spread “quite quickly” and at least 27 apartments were damaged to some extent before first responders managed to get the situation under control. Civil Protection Paris Seine (PCPS) has mobilized around 20 volunteers who are setting up beds for those affected. The organization also stands ready to provide “material and psychological” support to the victims.

“It is too early to determine the cause of the fire,” he added, while officials have confirmed that the building is relatively modern and is not served by a gas pipeline. How the blaze began remains unknown and electrical blackouts in the area have also been reported.

January 1st 2014, a Somali center, Somali apartments in Somali neighborhood of Minneapolis. Explosion that was suspiciously like a bomb making goof.

I used to live in Long Beach, CA [Snoop Dog’s hometown]. One New Year’s Eve my girlfriend at the time and I heard fully automatic gunfire along w/the usual sporadic semi-automatic gunfire.

French president Emmanuel Macron has declared he will govern France like Jupiter, the Roman king of the gods, shortly after officials told the media his thought process was “too complex” for journalists to understand.
Macron, what does your thought process tell you about this then ? Ask anyone in Europe who’s had to go through the immigration nightmare and they will tell you…you don’t need a “thought process that’s too complex” to answer that one.

One thing I am glad it is not a high rise accomodation fire fighters cannot reach with snorkel firehoses and ladders. These tall buildings are starting to show they are death traps.

Fire probably caused with some one using a gas bottle to cook their meals. Leaky gas bottle and a big explosion most likely from a Middle Eastern or Asian.

Explosion in a building with no gas line. Terrorists or Anarchists since it is Paris. If there was no gas leak, logic tells me there must have been an explosive. Who keeps explosives on hand? I would bet there were radical people at work here, and unless they are discovered and removed, this may be the opening shot of a new French Revolution.
I am not particularly fond of the French people, and a lot of that has to do with their attitude towards the world, but most of my animus stems from their inablitity to recognize truth. They just aren’t that smart.

Here are the two potential options: 1. A big meth lab blew up however this could be likely I will not hold my breath on this one. Option 2. A Jihadi Bomb making facility accidentally went up as the Jihadis France embraces screwed up and got themselves.
