ANSA reported Wednesday that “Pope Francis said God wants inter-faith solidarity as he spoke about his trip to Morocco last weekend during his weekly general audience on Wednesday.” The Pope said: “With Muslims, we are descendants of the same Father, Abraham: why does God permit there to be so many religions?…But what God wants is fraternity between us and in a special way – here is the reason for this trip – with our brothers, sons of Abraham like us, the Muslims. We must not be afraid of difference: God allowed this. We must be afraid if we do not work in fraternity, to walk together in life.” Yeah, sounds like a great idea.
God doubtless wants all of us to live in peace, but what exactly is preventing that? What kind of “fraternity” can Christians enjoy with Muslims in light of these teachings:
Muslims must fight against and subjugate Christians: “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden what has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” — Qur’an 9:29

Those who believe in the divinity of Christ are unbelievers: “They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary.” — Qur’an 5:17 (cf. 5:72)
Jesus is not the Son of God and belief in the Trinity is “excess”: “O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter anything concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and his word which he conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and do not say ‘Three.’ Cease! It is better for you! Allah is only One Allah. It is far removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.” — Qur’an 4:171
And: “It is not befitting to Allah that he should beget a son. Glory be to him! When He determines a matter, he only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” — Qur’an 19:35
Jesus was not crucified: “And because of their saying: We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they did not kill him or crucify him, but it appeared so to them; and those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it; they have no knowledge of it except pursuit of a conjecture; they did not kill him for certain.” — Qur’an 4:157
Christians have forgotten part of the divine revelations they received: “From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.” — Qur’an 5:14
Those who believe that Jesus is God’s Son are accursed: “The Jews call Ezra a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! ” — Qur’an 9:30
Christians who do not accepted Muhammad and the Qur’an are the most vile of created beings: “Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the most vile of created beings.” — Qur’an 98:6
Also, a hadith has Muhammad predicting that Jesus will return at the end of the world and break the cross, as it is an insult to Allah’s power to say that he would have allowed one of his prophets to be crucified:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary [Jesus] will shortly descend amongst you people [Muslims] as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya [a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government]. Then there will be abundance of money and nobody will accept charitable gifts. (Bukhari 3.34.425)
Muslims have sometimes taken this to mean not just that crosses will be destroyed in the end times, but that they should be now. In Spain in 2015, Muslims broke into a church, spray-painted “Allah” on wall, and destroyed the crucifix. In Pakistan in 2014, Muslims destroyed a church that was under construction, and desecrated the cross. When the Islamic State occupied Mosul, it made destruction of all crosses in the city a top priority.
Here, in conclusion, is my favorite New Testament verse, this time referring to Pope Francis: “Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

There are lots of passages about prophecy about Jesus in the Old Testament too.
Isaiah 53:3-7 is unmistakable:
“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”
Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 50:6, Zechariah 9:9, Zechariah 12:10 and Psalm 22:16-18 among other verses validate Christ. She’s too special and loved… I don’t want her going through the time of trouble… She is a fearless, loved treasure among Christians and others.

A great Jewish friend became a Christian believer through reading some of the verses you have quoted, as I recall, Isaiah 9 and Isaiah 53 in particular.
As to Pope Francis, he is a fool, a liar and deceiver of his people. This disgusting man has turned his back on the hideous suffering of Christians of Iraq, Syria and Nigeria at the hands of Muslims. A moral and decent individual is outraged at the things done to non-Muslims by Muslims, but not this feckless fool of a Pope who doesn’t see what he doesn’t wish to see. I don’t understand why Catholics are not leaving the Catholic Church in droves. Instead idiots try to kiss his hand and crowds collect to hear this feckless idiot speak in Rome.

Pope Frances is not a real Catholic. What is going on is insane! My guess is, he wants the Catholic Church to have a seat at the table for a one world religion. IMO all he is doing is making himself irrelevant and people are fleeing the Catholic Church in droves.

Gregory of Atlanta will be the successor of embattled Cardinal Donald Wuerl (covered up for homosexual predators) to lead the Archdiocese of Washington D.C., one of the most prominent sees in the United States.
Numerous faithful Catholic laity are outraged over the appointment of Gregory. The Archbishop has a history of showing support for homosexuality, contrary to Catholic teaching, along with other unorthodox positions.

Gregory’s support for the LGBT agenda is of public record. As head of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Gregory has displayed an uncritical willingness to accept LGBT ideology. His actions include:
• Personally inviting pro-gay Vatican adviser Fr. James Martin to give a speech titled “Showing Welcome and Respect in Our Parishes to LGBT Catholics” at both St. Thomas More Parish and at Atlanta’s Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
• Permitting the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (Atlanta, GA) to act as a center for LGBT events, including LGBT potluck socials and participating in the city’s Pride Parade.
• Appointing a pro-gay priest who heads a gay-affirming parish to be diocesan spiritual director for victims of sexual abuse by clergy.
• Allowing since 2014 the pro-homosexual and pro-transgenderism “Catholic” group, Fortunate and Faithful Families, to hold retreats in his Atlanta Chancery, while personally saying Mass for the group.
Gregory’s actions also reveal a lack of orthodoxy to Catholic teaching in other areas. These include:
• Giving the keynote address in 2017 at the Association of United States Catholic Priests (AUSCP) conference. The group backs the ordination of women to the priesthood and is open to the idea of the Church approving the use of contraception.
• Signaling an openness to allow divorced and “remarried” Catholics to receive communion contrary to perennial Catholic teaching. He was one of two featured speakers at a gathering of liberal theologians and 15 bishops at Boston College in October 2017. The event, “Understanding Amoris Laetitia,” was hosted by progressive Cardinal Cupich. Gregory appeared to endorse communion for divorced and remarried Catholics when he said Amoris Laetitia “challenges the church and its pastors to move beyond thinking that everything is black and white, so that we sometimes close off the way of grace and growth.”
• Misrepresenting — along with now defrocked former cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Gregory — the contents of a letter from Cardinal Ratzinger, then the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which counseled American prelates to deny Communion to Catholic politicians who support abortion during the 2004 presidential campaign season. They instead paraphrased the letter, telling their brother bishops that they should exercise their own judgment regarding pro-abortion politicos. The U.S. bishops ended up voting 183-6 to leave the decision up to each diocese.

The West is already dead, we are just going through the motions at this point. Any movements to survive along the path to full death, i.e. third world status and Islamization, are little more than the effect you see when you poke the leg of a dead frog and it moves. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we must face reality. It depends. New Christian converts have a passion where as those who take it for granted and have a “handed down faith” are weaker. This makes sense. Christian pastors will always have a struggle with third and fourth generation Christians. Each subsequent generation gets more blase. It helps to explain the attraction to Islam that has more cohesion and boundaries. The problem with Islam is they don’t expose what Islam really is. If they did no one rational would convert to Islam. Middle eastern Christians are very appreciative of our freedom here.
When Christians are persecuted the true church gets stronger. It weeds out those that really don’t believe and the cultural Christians. You can see Christians being discriminated against on a daily basis in the U.S. many cultural Christians go along with it. Many so called Christians confuse humanism and sometimes communism for Christianity. In public and liberal private schools, there is an open hostility towards Christianity. while Islam is viewed with respect, elevated and accommodated.
Many pastors go to great lengths to AVOID controversial sermon topics in desperate need of attention for fear of offending attendees. They are cowards or maybe their faith isn’t strong or well grounded. Gimmicks and cowardice will always fail and that adds to the decline.

Christians who grew up in homes where Christianity was incorrectly modeled and those who didn’t have their faith formed by relatives in their home are more likely to have stronger “theological convictions” than Christians who say their faith was “passed down” to them, new research has found.
Titled Households of Faith, the new report is based on an extensive survey conducted last April of as many as 2,400 practicing Christian adults and teens in the United States. The term ‘practicing Christian’ is defined as people who attend church at least once per month, call themselves Christian and say their faith is very important in their life.

“Would you say you are a Christian as a result of a person you grew up with in your household?”
Of the 1,116 practicing Christian adults who responded to that question,
59 percent said that “someone passed their faith down to me.”
Meanwhile, 23 percent said they are a Christian “despite the sort of Christianity I saw in my household growing up,” and 15 percent said they are Christians as an adult not because of a person in their childhood household.
“What is interesting is that those who answered the second two options … actually showed stronger theological convictions than those who did not,” Kinnaman said during his presentation. “It was interesting because having a passed-down faith is almost as though they hadn’t really evaluated some of the orthodoxy, some of the beliefs.”
“So, those who have struggled with their faith actually had a richer orthodoxy,” he continued. “At the same time, those who had a passed-down faith — part of that 59 percent — were more likely to prioritize traditions.”
Although those with a passed-down faith were less likely to have stronger theological convictions, Barna found that they did have more emotional connections to Christianity and had a warmer emotional climate within their home than other respondents.

“These folks who I mentioned, the 23 percent who struggled despite growing in a Christian household that maybe wasn’t a good model or the 15 percent who said they weren’t a Christian growing up but kind of came to faith, for them … [faith] is not an heirloom,” Kinnaman, the son of a pastor, argued. “It is an anchor to them. That is a really cool part of our church and recognizing some of the contributions some of those individuals can make.”
The study also found that there are benefits to growing up in what is considered a “spiritually vibrant home. ”Spiritually vibrant homes are defined by Barna as households that engage in spiritual practices (praying every one to two days and reading the Bible weekly together), spiritual conversations (talking about God and faith together at least once per week) and hospitality (welcoming non-family guests into the home several times a month.)

I find it curious that Muslims seem nonplussed about Mohammad’s death by poisoning at the hands of a Jewish girl, yet get all defensive at the assertion that Jesus was crucified. Surely they don’t think Mo died honorably and being that he was the last and greatest, how could HIS death be less honorable than Jesus’s. Why would a “lesser prophet’s” life be spared a “dishonorable” death, yet their hero goes down in agony at the hands of a lowly female (now that’s feminism).
It would seem getting Christ off that cross is the real story because of its’ implications. Hmmm, now who else wants the world to see it that way…oh ya – the antichrist.
Fret not about Francis, unless you’re Catholic that is. He is doing exactly what he’s suppose to be doing according to the scriptures that he apparently doesn’t comprehend well, and if you are Catholic, start reading Revelations and pay close attention to chapter 18:4. God loves you and knows your heart, he wants you to open you eyes and know what is happening in your church.

Why does ‘god’ ‘permit’ so many religions? good question why does ‘god’ permit so many things, like cancer, starvation, diseases, torture etc. etc. Because ‘god’ is not omnipotent he is impotent and cannot do anything. Pope’s argument is stupid ‘god’ when he says ‘god’ permits so many religions because he wants us to have fraternity, that is like our politicians saying diversity makes us stronger. Diversity by definition divides.

Vatican Sides With Islam
The Vatican has taken sides with an Antichrist Cult that denies that Jesus was the Son of God; Denies The Trinity; Denies that Jesus was Crucified; Denies Jesus’ Resurrection and Claims That Jesus Foretold the Coming of Muhammad (Ahmad)
The teachings of Vatican II in Catechism 841 are the basis for this deception.

3.) Islam Denies That Jesus Was Crucified:
“That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;—but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not…” (Quran 004.157)
4.) Islam Denies The Death and Resurrection of Jesus From The Grave:

The question is “What does it mean to follow Christ?” The leadership of the Catholic church teaches that Protestants aren’t real Christians. But what the leadership of the Catholic church seems to ignore is their fallibility. The Pope is a man like any other man yet the Catholic church raises him up as someone who is like God and infallible. Some say only his interpretation of scripture is infallible without realizing that if he is fallible at all then he is also fallible with regard to interpreting scripture… because he is a man and not a god and not God. He is a man, no closer to God than any other man can be. Yet he inserts himself between the followers and God. It should be absolutely clear to anyone who knows scripture that this pope in particular is flawed and an anti-Christ. To say the Islam is an Abrahamic faith ignores scripture itself and ignores Christ in particular.
The “Allah” of Islam is not the YHWH of scripture. Therefore it can only be from the anti-Christ and someone who can’t see that does not have the Holy Spirit. And the Pope can’t see that.
At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time. (Matthew 24:23-25 NIV)
The Pope says, “Look, Islam is just like Christianity because we both follow Abraham’s God” And Jesus says, “Beware of deceivers who will deceive many even those who think they are saved but are fooled by these deceivers. Take notice and be warned.”
Catholics stay “faithful” to the Pope and the Church despite clear red flags. The issue? Be like the despised Protestants and leave the Catholic church or keep following a false teacher, an anti-Christ and condone following Satan through this Satanically influenced false teacher?
