Hillary, Obama, Bernie Avoid Saying “Christian” Or “Churches” In Sri Lanka Statements

52

“Easter worshippers”? Why not “chocolate bunny eater”? It’s clear what was happening here. These Democrat leaders don’t want to identify the victims as Christians because they don’t want to identify the perpetrators as Muslims. If they acknowledge that there is a global persecution of Christians, they’re on the way to admitting that Muslims are the one who have massacred countless numbers of Christians, driven hundreds of thousands from their homes, and made Christians the most persecuted religious group on the planet today. But they’ll never do that: they’re in bed with the persecutors. So we get “Easter worshippers.”

“WALSH: Yes, ‘Easter Worshipper’ Was Intentional. Yes, It Matters. Here’s Why.” By Matt Walsh, Daily Wire, April 22, 2019 (thanks to Kenny):

When Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted about “art and architecture” during the Notre Dame fire, I defended her against the criticism it drew from Christians who accused her of pointedly ignoring the spiritual significance of the building. I thought the tweet was perfectly normal and acceptable, and I don’t really expect a Muslim woman to find any spiritual significance in a building meant for Christian worship. To my mind, that outrage — if we can call it an outrage — was overblown.

Story continues below advertisement

But “Easter worshippers” is a different thing entirely. Responding to the slaughter of hundreds of Christians during Easter attacks by radical Islamic terrorists, a number of prominent Democratic politicians chose to issue statements that glaringly omit any direct mention of the faith identity of the victims.

Barack Obama said this: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka.”

Hillary Clinton seemed to be working literally from the same script: “On this holy weekend for many faiths, we must stand united against hatred and violence. I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka.”

Several other Democrats latched onto this same phrase — “Easter worshippers.” If just one of them had gone this route, perhaps I could be convinced that it might be clumsy wording and nothing more. But it is simply impossible to believe that several significant Democrats would all independently and innocently think to refer to Christian victims in such a roundabout and obscure way.

I have been a Christian all my life and if I’ve ever heard the term “Easter worshipper,” or something like it, it would have been in reference to Christians who only go to church on Christmas and Easter. Generally we call those types “Christmas and Easter Christians” or “CEOs” (Christmas and Easter Only). But the general mass of people who show up to worship on Easter have always, in my experience, just been called Christians. It would be technically accurate to use a label like “Passover observers” in the place of “Jews” and “Ramadan commemorators” for “Muslims,” but I can’t imagine why anyone would be so unnecessarily vague and wordy. Unless, of course, there is some reason why they don’t want to explicitly acknowledge the group in question. And that appears to be the case here.

As it happens, we don’t need to wonder how the likes of Clinton and Obama would respond to a similar attack against Muslims. There was just such an attack a few weeks ago in New Zealand. Let’s look at their statements.

Obama: “Michelle and I send our condolences to the people of New Zealand. We grieve with you and the Muslim community. All of us must stand against hatred in all its forms.”

Clinton: “My heart breaks for New Zealand & the global Muslim community. We must continue to fight the perpetuation and normalization of Islamophobia and racism in all its forms. White supremacist terrorists must be condemned by leaders everywhere. Their murderous hatred must be stopped.”

This gives the game away. No rational person could fail to notice a stark contrast between these statements and the ones issued in response to nearly 300 butchered Christians on Easter Sunday. They both make sure to use the word “Muslim.” Clinton goes further and ropes in “Islamophobia” and “[w]hite supremacist terrorists.” Not only does she omit “Christian” from her comments on Sri Lanka, but she certainly says nothing about “Christophobia” and “Islamic terrorists.”

Are we supposed to believe that this is a mere coincidence? If so, is it also a coincidence that Hillary Clinton, who accidentally forgot the word “Christian” yesterday on Easter, did not forget the phrase “LGBT community” after the shooting at a gay club in Orlando three years ago? Of course not. There is a purpose behind this, and the purpose matters….

Fixed for you. Why was it left out based on the articles premise of not saying Christian?

“Responding to the slaughter of hundreds of Christians during Easter attacks by radical MUSLIM Islamic terrorists…”

Muslims the only people slaughtering Christians. For nearly 1500 years now!

Where are we going with this? How long do we not take the non-violent solution? Anyone?

It’s getting very bad out there. When do we put it to REST? What will it take for US to do something?

That’s the $64,000 question. We need to look in the mirror. I don’t like what I see.

From my perspective this article brings home the fact that
we are dealing with the serious problem of “political correctness” becoming
suicidal. The failure to state that the people who committed this horrible
violence have done so because their belief system condones and promotes that
conduct is simply stupid and clearly dangerous. To avoid facing the reality
that Islam promotes and preaches violence against those others who are not Muslim
is to avoid the reality that Islam intends to overthrow everything that we
consider sacrosanct here in America. The avoidance of this reality because of
what would “look” like an affront to the so-called moderates of the Islam
belief system, is, from my point of view , an act of suicidal conduct that
opens the gates for more horrific conduct by the radicals within this belief
system. Factual criticism would not result in any acts of vengeance from those
of the Jewish faith, nor of the Christian faith. Why are we accepting that
response from any other faith, especially when that faith promotes vile conduct
which is justified by the radicals among them to commit these acts of violence?
Since the so-called moderates seem to be doing nothing to prove that they are
peaceful citizens, why are we not facing the truth of what this very foreign
belief system intends for us “others.” This very foreign belief system is, in
and of itself, so contrary to what America is all about, that it should have
been kept out of our country. I am sick of the stupidity of those who claim to
lead us…

Well said, except its not “stupidity” that is the cause of this but a well planned, direct attack on our Republic and the Western Judeo-Christian ethic for which it stands. Our enemies are not stupid, they are just plain pure evil.

Obama is a muslim. Why would he call out muslim terrorism? This is similar to Macron. So fearful that the Notre Dame cathedral fire was caused by terrorism that he claimed “accident” before the fire was even out or investigated.

The fear of the invaders by the political ranks is quite obvious because they know that actually doing something about the muslims is going to lead to civil war. Well, it is already a civil war in some Western European nations if you listen to the police and fire authorities. Only question is when will the military be forced to intervene to at least attempt to save their nations. (So far, the military in France is being aimed at the wrong target – but that only lasts so long.)

Agreed. There is a sure-fire method for solving the attacks on churches and synagogues. Go straight to the source of the problem and destroy the mosques.

Islam is fighting a war against all non-Islamic (actually including opposing Islamic) nations… everything not dar al Islam (the world of Islam) is dar al harb (the world Islam is at war with).

The sad part is Marcon has his head buried in the sand and can’t see that he is in the middle of a war and he thinks things will work out OK for him because he is unable to see anything bad.

From a European perspective it is extremely sad that in your so-called “free world”
hardly anyone is able to get deeper into matter, but always moves on the surface.
It is obviously the legacy of the “won war”. The only ones I consider competent for
this are American (once European) Jews. Sad, above all, because once so cultiva-
ted Jews today have to communicate at the infantile childish level of a comic book.

Michael Wieck says that until 1938 there was virtually no Jew who
knew what would happen only 4 years later. Otherwise they would
all have the hope of escaping annihilation at an early stage. Howe-

In all the accounts I have read in the British and American press, plus statements from people like Merkel, I too have yet to read one line about “muslim terrorists” blowing up Christian civilians and tourists.

I’ve only read about “militants” and “Islamists” or possibly “extremists” but not ONE word about what was the most obvious motive i,e the koranic mandate to do what was done as an act of worship to the “author and prophet” of all this real hate.

However, it’s comforting to witness millions of muslims standing silently in rejection of this latest atrocity against Christians around the globe as well as the “Holy Father” himself comforting all those injured out there. His ringing endorsements of his Christian faith have been inspirational too. {sarc off}.

The words and omissions of certain people are being noted.

Hint: if I should post MP3s of poor quality, you’ll have to spice them up yourself,
e.g. by using the “Audacity” equalizer to mix in more bass for today’s listening
habits. Btw., you can also play songs slower, which I did as child with singles
on the record player, which I played at half speed to know how it was all made.

If they acknowledge that Christians were attacked then it puts them uncomfortably close to the elephant in the room. Then they might have to acknowledge who is attacking the Christians and why, and they’re just not going to let that happen. Someone might get the idea that the so called “religion of peace” isn’t really all that peaceful.

I think that it is intentional as well. I believe they are emphasizing Easter to imply the people are worshiping Easter (Ishtar) rather than worshiping Jesus on the holiday of Easter. Just a thought.
