When the whole premise of your failed party is based on myths and lies, this is what you do, make stuff up and then write legislation for the nonexistent issues created out of whole cloth in order to pervert the cause of freedom. There is no Muslim ban, just as there is no man-made global warming — and yet whole industries, NGOs, national and international organizations, et al exist for the emperor’s new clothes.
Dems introduce bill to repeal Trump ‘Muslim ban’

Sen. Christopher Coons (D-Del.) and Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) on Wednesday introduced legislation to end President Trump’s ban on travelers to the United States from five Muslim-majority countries.
Story continues below advertisementThe legislation — called the National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Nonimmigrants (NO BAN) Act — “repeals the three versions of President Trump’s Muslim ban, strengthens the Immigration and Nationality Act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of religion, and restores the separation of powers by limiting overly broad executive authority to issue future travel bans,” its sponsors said in a statement.
They added that the measure is supported by over 90 members of Congress and hundreds of civil rights, faith, national security and community organizations and private companies.
“I ran on a promise to end the President’s hateful Muslim ban,” Omar, one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, wrote on Twitter. “No one should be denied basic rights because of their religion, race or national origin. #NoBanAct.”
Coons said on MSNBC “Morning Joe” on Wednesday that the legislation “would prevent this president or a future president from imposing a similar religiously based ban on folks coming into this country, narrowing his powers.”
Trump and the White House argue the travel ban is not a Muslim ban. It prevents travelers from Iran, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Yemen from entering the U.S., and the administration argues it was necessary to protect national security.
Trump’s third executive order issuing the ban, which the White House argued was imposed for national security purposes, was upheld in a 5-4 ruling by the Supreme Court last summer.

Obama and his five presidential predecessors all used their executive powers to temporarily ban certain immigrants, including Muslims from entering the United States.

Obama has barred huge groups of potentially dangerous immigrants from entering the United States at least six times, undercutting his claim that barring Muslims from terrorist countries as Donald Trump has proposed is un-American.
In his first ban, according to a search of White House records, Obama instituted a ban on “immigrants or nonimmigrants” covered by a larger United Nations travel ban. He also included those on an economic sanctions list. Most countries were Muslim.
He cited the very same section of law that many critics of his policies have asked him to use, “section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.” It says, “Whenever the president finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrant’s or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
Obama used the same provision five other times, one more in 2011, twice in 2012 and twice in 2014. In those, he targeted people aiding Iran, Syria, Crimea, and those involved in war crimes.
Still, in his latest tirade against Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims from terror nations,
Obama said such bans violate the American way.
In reaction to the Orlando terror attack, Trump said, “When I’m elected, I will suspend immigration from areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies until we fully understand how to end these threats.”

former President Ronald Reagan four. And in
1980, former President Jimmy Carter banned Iranians after Tehran seized the U.S. embassy.

The spread, in the face of rising drug resistance, has triggered the CDC to update its guidelines – urging medics to quarantine C auris sufferers.

‘It’s pretty much unbeatable and difficult to identify,’ Dr Lynn Sosa, deputy state epidemiologist of Connecticut, told the New York Times.
CDC analyses show most cases (around 86 percent) are resistant to the common anti-fungal treatment fluconazole, about half (43 percent) were resistant to amphotericin B, which is used for aggressive fungal infections, and 3 percent were resistant to echinocandins – the standard treatment for a bacterial infection like this.
According to a 2017 report, most cases were spread in hospitals or between family members.
‘In Illinois, three cases were associated with the same long-term care facility,’ the researchers wrote in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
‘In New York and New Jersey, cases were identified in multiple acute care hospitals, but further investigation found most had overlapping stays at interconnected long-term care facilities and acute care hospitals within a limited geographic area.
‘The case in Massachusetts was linked to the Illinois cases.’
Screening of 390 close contacts showed that 12 percent were colonized by C auris.

75 Percent of Spanish Cannabis Contains Human Faeces

According to Moreno, the presence of E. Coli can be explained as being related to the faecal matter contained within the cannabis.
How the human excrement got into the drugs was explained by Moreno. He said that it had to do with the way the drugs were being smuggled into Spain, saying that many drug mules put the cannabis in plastic bags which they swallow and then defecate the drugs out when they arrive in Spain.
Along with E. Coli, Moreno found traces of the fungus Aspergillus in samples, which can cause death if not treated properly.
E. Coli outbreaks in the United States occurred last year due to contaminated romaine lettuce, even leading to the death of a person last May.
Earlier this week, health officials at the U.S. Centre for Disease Control (CDC) claimed they were investigating yet another E. Coli outbreak, with 72 people being reported sick in five separate states.
Drug trafficking often goes hand in hand with people trafficking, with international gangs and organised mafia groups having their hands in both.

Last December, the Spanish government arrested a group of 42 North Africans and seized 3.25 metric tonnes of hashish during the operation. Five boats and five other vehicles used to help transport drugs across the Strait of Gibraltar were also seized.
The drug trade has claimed many victims in Europe, including 16-year-old Italian Desirée Mariottini who died of an overdose after being sexually abused, allegedly by three migrant men, last October.

The ban was against those countries who refused to re-repatriate their own citizens, when we refused to allow them entry into our country, regardless of their religion/race/sexual preference etc
What are you supposed to do when it’s discovered omar is a bomb maker using a fake passport and just arrived/walked off a international flight and is now in a US International Airport (on US soil) and you cannot send him back/deport him to where he came from?
Seems to me, the sane option is not to allow them to get on the plane to come here in the first place.
