The ‘Context’ Makes Omar’s 9/11 and Al Qaeda Comments Worse, and It’s Not ‘Incitement’ to Say So

26

If criticizing genocidal rhetoric is incitement:

If this is liberals’ new standard, their frequent, vituperative broadsides against President Trump (who faces numerous threats) constitute ‘incitement’ that must be silenced, for his safety.  Their vicious campaign against Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination would also certainly have fit the same bill, as he and his family received death threats after Democrats dialed up their language to eleven.

Indeed, virtually any intense denunciations of Republican figures, rhetoric, or policy could arguably rise to the level of incitement under these rules.  Remember, the attempted mass assassination of GOP Congressmen on a baseball field was perpetrated by a left-wing extremist shouting about a healthcare bill he opposed, and which Democrats said was “evil” and would kill people.  Loudly opposing that bill clearly put lives at risk.  Stop the incitement.

Exactly. The Democrats’ new line that criticism equals incitement is self-defeating in the extreme, as it undercuts their every criticism of President Trump and so many other people as incitement. But of course they have no need to be concerned about consistency: they know the enemedia will never hold them accountable.

“Analysis: The ‘Context’ Makes Omar’s 9/11 and Al Qaeda Comments Worse, and It’s Not ‘Incitement’ to Say So,” by Guy Benson, Townhall, April 16, 2019 (thanks to Wendy):

Let’s start with a few propositions, as a follow-up to my Friday post: First, too much of our political rhetoric is overheated and intended to whip up outrage. This is a bipartisan phenomenon, though one side’s excesses are more likely to be ignored or even embraced by the media. Second, threats of physical violence against anyone, especially public officials, are execrable and unacceptable. That’s not discourse; that’s intimidation, and it should not be tolerated. Third, harsh criticisms of politicians, even if demagogic, do not amount to threats or “incitement.”

In their defenses of Rep. Ilhan Omar, many fellow Democrats and leftist partisans have conflated vehement critiques with incitement, a transparent and deliberate effort to deflect and disqualify entirely reasonable and justified anger over Omar’s pattern of incendiary, bigoted, or insensitive comments. She’s a walking political problem for the Left, so they’re attempting to paint those who notice and object as engaging in dangerous, out-of-bounds rhetoric. It’s cynical, and it must not succeed.

And imagine the danger liberals have placed Rep. Steve King in through their incitement. Much like Omar, King drew widespread ire over his pattern of deeply insensitive and bigoted comments (unlike Omar, he was confronted with serious consequences from his own party). By calling him a racist, even if true, their words might lead one of their unstable followers to snap and inflict harm. Stop the incitement….

He purposely deposited them in “fly over country” to turn the states blue.
Texas really got dumped on. We need that state for the electoral vote.

It was clownton that brought in the vast majority of soomawwlees. Even bushy, jr., brought in more than obimbo. Obimbo brought in many soomawwlees, but his pakkys, from pakkyland, and bangers from bangerdouche … not to mention TONS of ayrahb moslems (Syria, et al) …. and soodaaneeze Those were obimbos contribution to the moslem cause … Obimbo wanted diversity among his moslems.

Trying not to attract critical remarks from your political opponents on the “progressive” hard left when engaging in public debate is a bit like trying to stay “within the law” at a public demonstration in the UK while still trying to make the demo difficult for the target.

Both ambitions are an exercise in time wasting folly. It shows you don’t understand what it is you’re up against.

This situation remains always a judgement call, if the gain is worth you biting your lip despite what you feel and wish to say – that’s what you do.

However if the gain is worth the risk of telling “home truths” in {shall we say robust blunt language} then do it.

Usually the latter course works well when the audience is boozed up a bit and getting rowdy.

OFF-TOPIC:
Just thinking, Why not send the excess border ILLEGALS to HAWAII?
It’s always going to be a Democrat state anyway, and it’s off the mainland, so it’s harder for the illegals to just walk over to neighboring states.

Has anyone in Trump’s circle proposed this to him (Puerto Rico could be another place).

Send em to GITMO and forget about them. It would be tougher to get on our soil and no anchor babies.
Even notice how anchor babies rarely have a dad in the picture – all single moms.

The problem with Hawaii is they couldn’t be able to afford it but then again, let them have the crime and mess. In no time it would look like San Francisco. Puerto Rico would be interesting. It would be more culturally friendly to them. I don’t know what the rules are for a commonwealth. I do like the idea!!!!

If your’re a moslem .. GITMO is a freakin’ paradise. Tennis courts, movies, cable delayed television, computers, prayer rugs and queerannes furnished …. halal food, imams brought in at taxpayer expense, US military personnel are their private maids … and the “maids” must wear white gloves if they have to move a queeranne. Sending something to GITMO is hardly punishment … It’s more akin to a five star moslem resort, only thing missing is their bacha bazi.

Hussein Obama wanted to close GITMO, not to let the Muslim terrorists suffer, but once he realized the cozy conditions he let this idea go.

Now, don’t worry. I’m sure with a few legal complaints and the right lawyer, the degnerates will have their bacha bazi boys sent there in no time.

Basically, what Omar is saying is that the Muslims in America were somehow the true “victims” of 9/11. Sigh…and the left is STILL trying to defend her. 🙁

Yep, you said that correctly. That is EXACTLY what the left is doing.

We only have a short time. It’s almost fully integrated into our system. Muslims are writing laws in Congress. Only civil war will stop us from becoming a muslim country at this point because the federal gov and several state governments will fight for muslims over the constitution and citizens.

Did you notice that Trump said yesterday that all Muslims should be removed from our government “because they have no business being there.” I completely agree with him – and it needs to be done post haste!

Outstanding! Now he should take legal action to make it happen. It doesn’t matter if the courts give an ‘opinion’ against it, or democrats fight it. Constitutionally it is sound. First he must start by banning Islam. If not mistaken, our founding fathers already started that process, as muslims were a problem for our country back then also.

Yup, but thanks to George W Bush, who stood on the rubble of 9/11 and stated that Islam was a religion of peace, he was literally WELCOMING our destruction!

True. The majority of republicans are guilty as well.

I wouldn’t generalize like that. I’m sure SOME are, but not the majority. 🙂

It is true. One need only look at the first three years of Trump’s presidency, when republicans held the majority in all three branches of federal gov. They didn’t vote to start construction on the border wall, stop DACA, enforce current immigration law, eliminate Common Core, remove one unconstitutional federal alphabet agency, ban islam, investigate even one mosque, stop men from going into women’s restrooms, they are NOT defending second amendment rights currently under relentless attack by leftests… I could go on but I feel my blood pressure rising as the disgust of betrayal washes over me.
