Pamela Geller: I Warned AIPAC About Obama in 2008 — The Dems’ Boycott Is His Legacy

9

This has been a rapid descent. In 2017, Kamala Harris said it was “an honor” to speak before AIPAC. But as quickly as the Democrats’ Jew-hatred is being normalized now, it has also been a long time coming. It is largely due to the disastrous presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. It was Obama, with his consistently shabby treatment of Benjamin Netanyahu and relentless demonization of Israel, who mainstreamed and normalized antisemitism among the Democrats.

In May 2008, before Obama was elected, a reader invited me to senior-level AIPAC event at Cipriani’s. I went up to the Executive Director, Howard Kohr, and said that I understood AIPAC was “non-partisan, but Obama will be lethal for the Jews.” Kohr scoffed. I went on to relate all that I had unearthed in my two years of relentless investigation of Obama, and I laid it out, point by point, fact by fact, with as little hyperbole as possible. Kohr shook his head. He would have none of it. We are non-partisan, he insisted. To what point are you non-partisan? If there is a candidate, a party, an official that is a Jew-hater, do you maintain neutrality, like Switzerland? He just smiled and walked away.

I meticulously documented Obama’s Jew-hatred, and his entourage of Jew-haters, in my book The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War On America. Everything that is happening now in the Democrat Party — the relentless pandering to the Jew-haters Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the abject failure and collapse of the effort to rebuke Omar for her Jew-hatred, even indirectly, the boycott of AIPAC by the presidential candidates — I predicted and warned out. All my warnings are coming true.

“Several 2020 Democrats to skip AIPAC conference after call to boycott,” by Adam Edelman, Ludwig Hurtado and Melissa Holzberg, NBC News, March 21, 2019:

Several Democratic presidential candidates will skip the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s policy conference this year after a prominent progressive group called on them to boycott the event.

Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., will all ditch the conference, the Associated Press reported, and a spokesman for former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, told NBC News that he also will not attend.

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, will not be going, The Jewish Week reported, and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro also won’t show, according to HuffPost.

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who is considering running for president as an independent, will also skip the conference, the Associated Press reported.

Josh Orton, a policy director for Sanders, told NBC News that the senator is “concerned about the platform AIPAC is providing for leaders who have expressed bigotry and oppose a two-state solution.”

Sanders didn’t attend the 2016 conference while he was running in the Democratic presidential primary, but addressed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at length during a speech around the time of the event.

The candidates’ decisions to skip the prominent pro-Israel lobbying group’s conference come one day after liberal group MoveOn.org called on all 2020 presidential candidates to steer clear of the event….

AIPAC has always been a tool of the Dems, as best I can see. About 20 years ago, a rep came to my southern California town to speak to our Jewish Federation. It was the first year or two of the Bush administration and all this lady could do was burble on about all her contacts among the Dems. I asked her why they didn’t also cultivate the other side, especially given the new administration. She just stared at me and then gave some BS answer. I remember thinking that I would never give to them, that their job is to cultivate both sides and it appeared to me that they were shirking what seemed like such an obvious way to do business. Total shills, at least at that time, but then so is the ADL. And getting worse. I am proud to say I am a third generation Jewish Republican! Too bad most of my co-religionists haven’t figured out that they are being taken advantage of by a party that would rather court the Muslim and anti-Semite vote.

Wish Soros was thoroughly investigated and jailed.

He has a record of interfering in elections like Hungary, EU, etc.

I have said this a thousand times. THE NEGRO NEVER BELONGED UP THERE. He was not only illegal to be up there but completely OUT of place as many of his extremely embarrassing videos and pics of his husband have proven.

The Demoncraps have humiliated the two Negroes thoroughly and we wasted 8 years on them. The two Negroes are too stupid to even realized what fools they made of themselves. It’s all normal to them.

The Demoncraps had another one lined up after him. The women named Hillaryous.

Indeed, why should these phony leftists appear at AIPAC?

To do so has only a downside, in that their appearance would alienate their anti-Semitic supporters.

On the other hand, they also are quite comfortable in the knowledge that they will enjoy substantial Jewish support, regardless of how often they demonstrate contempt for the Jewish people.

I’d like to add a correction to the above blog. That is, the Texas Democrat formerly nicknamed “Beto”, whose last name is O’Rourke, has a new nickname! It is “Bozo” after the famous clown.
