New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman’s idiotic analysis of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s conduct on CNN

19

Thomas Friedman’s recent statements on CNN regarding Rep. Ilhan Omar is an example of why the New York Times should not be referred to as the “paper of record.” On the contrary, the New York Times should be referred to as the paper of lies or the paper of fake news.

Did Thomas Friedman actually believe that Rep. Ilhan Omar could have been a “bridge builder” between Muslims and Jews? Perhaps Friedman did not consider that Omar comes from Somalia, one of the most radical and anti-Semitic Muslim countries on the planet. A country that does not recognize Israel’s right to exist, and a country that sanctions Jew-hatred.

This kind of open idiocy and misinformation is typical of Thomas Friedman. Friedman is completely clueless about the kind of Islamic anti-Semitism that Rep. Ilhan Omar was raised in. He is also perhaps the most anti-Zionist Jew (along with the grotesque Peter Beinart) in the mainstream media, and routinely libels Israel for defending itself against Palestinian terrorists.

Story continues below advertisement

The anti-Israel Friedman would go on to spew more nonsense during this segment on CNN. Friedman stated that there are “constructive ways to be critical of AIPAC right now.” Why? Is it because AIPAC has not been timid enough for Friedman, when trying to defend Israel against the BDS movement? He also stated that the Somali immigrant community has added “their voices and their richness and their culture” to Minnesota’s 5th congressional district. Like what? Sharia, Jihad, and anti-Semitism?

Friedman would go on to bash President Trump for defunding Palestinian schools. Friedman conveniently failed to mention that these “schools” are inciting hatred of Jews and glorifying Jihad against Israel. Friedman also complained that the U.S is not providing aid to Tunisia. He called Tunisia “the one Arab democracy.” However, he did not mention that Tunisia is a country that engages in human rights violations and has a record of banning Jewish people from entering the country. He called Jordan an “Island of decency,” despite the fact that Jordan limits free speech, criminalizes criticism of Islam, and has an abysmal record of violating the human rights of Jordanian women. Thomas Friedman is a liar and a moron.

There is only one country that is an island of decency in the Middle East. That country is Israel. A country that Friedman routinely slanders in the New York Times and on CNN.

“New York Times Columnist Thomas Friedman: Ilhan Omar Is a ‘Bridge-Destroyer,’” by Katherine Rodriguez, Breitbart, March 9, 2019:

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman told CNN’s Smerconish on Saturday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) did nothing to build bridges with Jews and Muslims after her recent anti-Semitic comments about Israel and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Friedman said that while Omar had the opportunity to “build bridges” between the Jewish and Somali-Muslims who reside in her district, she squandered that opportunity by repeatedly pushing forth anti-Semitic tropes.

“Ilhan Omar represents, I believe, the biggest Jewish community in the whole upper Midwest,” Friedman told CNN in a Saturday interview. “She represents that community. She also represents a Somali immigrant community that’s come to our city since then and added their voices and their richness and their culture.”

“She was perfectly poised to be a bridge-builder between Muslims and Jews, between Arabs and Israelis,” Friedman continued. “And rather than come to Washington and be a bridge-builder, she has come to be a bridge-destroyer.”

In every country that Islam targets invades initially through hajrah (immigration Jihad), they divide the country and civil war ensues. Then after the civil war is underway when the nation is at its weakest internally, Islamic countries attack always using the excuse that the country that is defending itself against Islamic terrorism is mistreating the poor Muslims who are supporting the anti-American war effort. This has been repeated country after country for over 1000 years. It is in their scriptures as a command to use as part of war – immigration as part of Jihad to force obedience to Islam by all in areas where Islam has become dominate. Islam too has a “final solution”. Islam has no issue with killing innocents, the west does. This alone makes this an asymmetrical warfare in which we will continue to lose until we decide to give no quarter and no longer allow Islamic ideology of world domination on our shores. That day cannot come fast enough to protect the innocent. Every day, somewhere in the world, more innocent people die because of Islamic ideologically inspired terrorism in the name of their accursed ‘god’ all for the purpose of world domination under Islamic rule. A one world Islamic Caliphate would indeed bring hell on earth.

For Pelois it is NOT about the party
It is not about the country.
It is about Nancy Pelois keeping her little gavel as Speaker of the House and making as much money as possible as Speaker of the House.

As Nancy begged for votes to keep the gavel, I’d lay money down that a condition for Omar’s vote as a FRESHMAN MUSLIM, was to give her a position on the prestigious Foreign Affairs Committee. Nancy happily acquiesced to hold the little gavel and add more money to her husband’s contracting work that enriches her pocketbook as well as the usual bribes held offshore that she directly benefits from. So her financial picture listed here is hardly accurate. For giggles look what they do list.

The nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics (CRP) estimated her wealth:

2009 that Pelosi’s average net worth was US $58,436,537, ranking her 13th among 25 wealthiest members of Congress.

2014, CRP reported Pelosi’s average net worth US $101,273,023 having ranked 8th out of 25 wealthiest members of Congress.

After 2014 no one no one bothered to list what her wealth is. BTW she keeps her wealth separate from her husband. Her husband pigs out on government contracts and coming legislation for business opportunities – like insider trading. None of the swamp keeps their investments in a BLIND TRUST.

Understand during Obama’s reign ( 2008 – 2016), our economy was tanking. High unemployment and on food stamps till Trump came along in 2016 and started making progress in 2017 on the financial front.

Thomas Friedman would cover up for Omar’s antisemitism, because when Bibi came to protest the Iran deal, Thomas friedman said much of the same thing. It is in my link from the earlier post.

Thomas Friedman is a legend in his own mind. Over his career he has made so many asinine statements regarding seriously evil actors and regimes, it’s laughable. He’s praised the Iranian regime, Putin, and of course the “very reasonable” one party autocratic rulers in China. Here’s a news flash, Tommy Boy. The communist Chinese government was scum 50 years ago and they still are. They destroy anyone who challenges their rule. If TF wasn’t employed by the NYT no one would pay any attention to him. Like Bernie Sanders, Friedman’s another rotting old uber liberal self-hating American Jew who thinks he knows what’s best for Israel. Ignore him.

His stupidity is even legendary in the New York.

Harps ad nauseum on bridge builder/bridge destroyer as if it were a magic mantra and seems more disappointed than outraged. As if Omar was not the winning horse he placed a bet on. It is and was perfectly obvious that Omar whose past history including immigration fraud which Friedman must have been aware of, was elected to give the prog rhetoric on the destruction of Israel a new car smell. Shielded by her color and her clothing against serious charges of bigotry, (Pelosi’s resolution against hate has all the moral sting of a dental hygiene commercial) this mouthpiece of antisemitism has gone way beyond Friedman’s niceties of bridge builder/destroyer and right smack into nazi discourse. Friendman’s stupidity is first and foremost an inability to own up to his serious lack of foresight. Where will TF find his next bucket of sand?

Oh, come on. Sure, there is a lot about Friedman’s opinions left to be desired. But let’s not twist what the man actually said, okay? He said, at the beginning of her term Omar was POISED TO BE a bridge-builder between Jews and Muslims — that is, she COULD have done so, if she had chosen the noble and courageous path of reaching out a hand in peace. But she DIDN’T — as Freidman went on to say — because she became a bridge-destroyer instead. Isn’t that EXACTLY what we anti-jihadists think about her, TOO? Bash Friedman for OTHER, anti-Israel opinions, but not for THIS one. He’s right on the money. She took the easy route, the path of least resistance given her culture and background — as Ms. Geller notes — and went with irrational Jew-hatred instead. Sad.
