House Foreign Affairs Chair Eliot Engel Slams Ilhan Omar for ‘Vile Anti-Semitic Slur’

39

Even Democrat leadership is finding Ilhan Omar’s rabid Jew-hatred hard to stomach. The poisonous hate is impossible to purge. It’s a cancer of the soul. Islamic Jew-hatred: it’s in the Quran. And now, despite Engel’s criticism, by its treatment of Jew-hating Muslim Representative Ilhan Omar, the Democrat Party is normalizing that Jew-hatred. Omar’s apology was hollow and insincere, and nothing is more certain than the fact that she will keep up her anti-Semitic narrative. Another certainty is that the Democrats and liberal Jewish organizations will continue to give her a pass. She will keep her committee assignments. Her Jew-hatred is not a problem as far as they are concerned. In fact, it’s a positive aspect of her resume.

“House Foreign Affairs Chair Eliot Engel Slams Ilhan Omar for ‘Vile Anti-Semitic Slur,’” by Joshua Caplan, Breitbart, March 2, 2019 (thanks to Todd):

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Eliot Engel (D-NY) blasted Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Friday for suggesting that pro-Israel politicians hold “allegiance to a foreign country” and demanded the freshman congresswoman apologize for her “vile anti-Semitic slur.”

Story continues below advertisement

“I welcome debate in Congress based on the merits of policy, but it’s unacceptable and deeply offensive to call into question the loyalty of fellow American citizens because of their political views, including support for the U.S.-Israel relationship,” Engel said in a statement released Friday evening.

“Her comments were outrageous and deeply hurtful, and I ask that she retract them, apologize, and commit to making her case on policy issues without resorting to attacks that have no place in the Foreign Affairs Committee or the House of Representatives,” the New York Democrat continued.

Speaking Wednesday night at a forum at a Washington, D.C., bookstore with fellow freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the Omar said she fears everything they say about Israel is construed as anti-Semitic because they’re Muslim. She said that prevents a “broader debate” about Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.

Some Jewish leaders said she then revived an old trope about divided loyalties among Jewish-Americans when she said, “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country.”

She added, “I want to ask, ‘Why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the [National Rifle Association], or fossil fuel industries or Big Pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobbying group that is influencing policy?’”

Steve Hunegs, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, said in a statement that he was appalled by her suggestion that Jewish-Americans have divided loyalties between the U.S. and Israel. He said her comment “continues the unacceptable pattern of the Congresswoman deploying anti-Semitic rhetoric when speaking about Jewish-Americans’ involvement in our nation’s democratic process.”

Marshall Wittmann, a spokesman for AIPAC, told the New York Times: “The charge of dual loyalty not only raises the ominous specter of classic anti-Semitism, but it is also deeply insulting to the millions upon millions of patriotic Americans, Jewish and non-Jewish, who stand by our democratic ally, Israel.”…

Indeed Achmed. First a Yellowstone eruption, expulsion of copious volcanic dust and sulfur dioxide, there goes global warming, there goes climate change, volcanic winter arrives, and the freeze-over assumes monstrous proportions.

Complaints from the divisive-party ring hollow. Democratics are only inclusive of the subdivisions they’ve created as an easier path to control and power. Their appeal is largely not to individuals, but the special self-interests and divisions-of-hate that gives them their power.

However, the media goes out of its way to erase or cover-up up any suggestions of Democratic division. The are in full-bore support of anything Far Left.

I don’t know that is necessarily the case. She may just take her vile hate-fueled rhetoric “underground”- I.e. away from public scrutiny. There is something to be said for having your enemies readily identify themselves.

It says much about the Democrat Party that people like Tlaib, AOC, and Omar are such prominent figures in the party today. How Jews can be so stupid as to support that party is a mystery to me.

One response here is that Jews traditionally vote Democratic. No excuse, but it enables them to stay in a comfort zone detached from the reality of evil.

What is failed to be mentioned is that this Omar women and
her brethren are being overwhelmingly influenced by the belief system, Islam,
that she has been raised to comply with. It is she who is using her political
beliefs to influence her thinking as is clearly obvious from her comments,
especially those comments that clearly wrongfully put down Israel and support her
ancestral people so vehemently. Though I do not subscribe to the claim of Islam
that it is a religion, as I see it as a political philosophy that intends
domination and overthrowing everything non-Islamic, I recognize that she and
people like her are allowing that belief system to influence her in a manner consistent
with what it espouses. She is indoctrinated by the hate, violence and false
propaganda that is Islam. She cannot accept the existence of Israel, cannot
accept the fact that learning to live peacefully with that country is clearly
in the best interests of the Arab world, has accepted the nonsense that Israel
is wrongly accused of being an apartheid state, when it is the only Middle
Eastern country that grants to all of its citizens equal treatment and due
process, and she refuses to accept that Israel is under constant threat by the
Arabs and must secure the land needed to protect themselves. She should be
taken seriously as she is a danger to everything we cherish as American
citizens, as her conduct is evidence that she cannot accept what assimilation
into American society is all about. We must shut down her comments with truth,
facts and common sense.

Your comments make too much sense, Dennis. What ends up happening in cases like this is nothing will be done to correct this behavior. Some right-wing commentators has stated she is a gift that keeps on giving. This writer disagrees. She is shamelessly given a multi-media forum to speak to all those mushy, lack-of-discernment American voters who, of prodded with enough of her rhetoric, will start believing it and vote accordingly, i.e. far-Left, without batting an eyelash.

This writer has repeatedly stated that Omar, Tlaib and AOC are symptoms of a more serious problem – outright rejection of the God that once was admired and worshiped in Spirit and in truth in this nation: Jude 3-4. And, as happened in ancient Judah in II Chronicles 36:15-16, that same is happening to America. Short of a Jeremiah 18:7-8 solution, we’re finished.

I hope that we are not losing what the Spirit of God has taught us, and that is that American’s should always move in a direction of giving each of us due process, treating all of us equally, being reverent (respectful) to one and another, practicing good morality, etc., all of which I believe has made this nation so special. Unfortunately, I do see these orthodoxy believers of Islam doing and saying things that are directly contrary to the Spirit of Goodness, having been poisoned by their belief system which promotes domination and mean spirited conduct and attitudes towards non-Muslims, and I sincerely believe that unless we stand up to these “sick” and dangerous people, we will be lost.

There is not one single verse in the Quran that promotes peace or love or is even a comfort. Not one!

When Nabeel Qureshi, a former Muslim, read the Bible that was one of his first observations of the Bible in contrast to the Quran.

yes, well, Islam is always a problem, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that Ilhan Omar is herself malodorous and insufferable.

That’s why she was elected to congress in the first place.

Oh, and enough with these foolish demands for apologies – either move to censure her, or shut up.

Mark, you are spot on, and I would expand your claim to include the rest of the West. When one sees darkness spreading across the land, it is reasonable to conclude that the light has left. These once “Christian” nations rejected Him and ignored His call to repentance. The events happening there are the symptoms of blessings withdrawn and minds in reprobate settings (Jeremiah 18:10, Romans 1:28, 2Thes 2:11)
You may already see what I see. The events of today are like no other and are aligned with end time prophecy like at no other time. The judgement coming is not for correction, it is intended to end this current age of man and usher in a new Heavenly order.

Eliot Engel is Jewish. He is very liberal on nearly all issue but is a big supporter of Israel.
He represents NY’s 16th district. The 16th district includes the northern Bronx and the southern half of Westchester County, including the suburban cities of Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Scarsdale and Rye. I would guess that he represents allot of affluent Jewish voters that also love Israel. There is allot of old money there and I think older Jews in his district love Israel too. I think the problem may lie more with the young liberal Jews rejecting Israel and are JINO. On this particular issue, I believe Eliot Engel sees through Omar and genuinely loves Israel regardless of constituents.

Okay, so she apologizes to him, he accepts it, that’s the end of it. No sweat off her back. Then she goes to the media and doubles down on her offensive comments, just like the Rashida Tlaib did after apologizing to Mark Meadows for calling him a racist.
They don’t care. They have no shame. They are savages.

This “Grifter” is a perfect example of the “culture” of subterfuge she represents.

It’s in her “cultural” and ideological DNA, from birth to this very moment.. …Seriously bad and wiring in my view..

All that mugging in front pf the camera won’t mask this serial prevaricator any longer.. People across the country – OUR country – GET IT NOW. If only Minnesota will finally wake up..

SHE is the poster child example as to exactly why we need VOTER ID IN MINNESOTA NOW!

Her “COMMUNITY” in the 5th District on Minnesota VOTED EARLY AND VOTED OFTEN to get her in OUR U.S. Congress, right along with partner-in-this-crime, now Minnesota Attorney General, Keith (AKA’s – “X” – “Hakim” – “Mohamed”) Ellison..

VOTER ID NOW please..

Wow. Engel’s comments were a “Slam?” Same mealy mouthed crapola. Where was the demand she be kicked off the committee? Engel “Blasted?” When you begin your “Blast” with, “I welcome debate in congress….” you already lost credibility. Where is Nancy Pelosi. The GOP took a Congressman off all committees, when he tweeted that he didn’t know why white nationalism was presented as a problem. Why is this Congresswoman still on such an important committee, especially in light of her obvious hatred and bias towards our ally, Israel? The new Socialist/Democrat Party seems to not find this to be a problem for them. If you watched the 2012 Democrat convention, you would have seen this coming. All the hate and vitriol that we see know, stemmed from the Obama presidency. And, the Jews who put these Democrats into office, have been oblivious to these problems. Wake up and smell the stench of anti-American, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic hatred .
