American Taliban traitor who fought and killed US soldiers to be released in May, expresses support for Islamic State (ISIS)

50

We’ve really come full circle. One terrible, awful circle. Abdul Hamid aka Abu Sulayman (nee John Walker Lindh) was one of the earliest stories I covered when I began this news site back in 2004. Sulayman nee Lindh was a U.S. citizen who had converted to Islam and joined the Taliban. He was captured as an enemy combatant during the United States’ invasion of Afghanistan in November 2001. He was captured and detained at Qala-i-Jangi fortress. He took part against the US in the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi, a violent uprising of Taliban prisoners, during which the CIA officer Johnny “Mike” Spann was killed. Just hours before his death, CIA agent and America hero Mike Spann interviewed this traitor. Not long after, Spann was killed when Muslim prisoners emerging from the fortress rushed the guards, throwing grenades and grabbing their captors’ rifles.

The first American killed in … Afghanistan… on November 25, 2001.

Spann was a CIA operative, one of a small number of Americans who landed in Afghanistan, helped coordinate local forces hostile to the Taliban, and directed bombing and other military action.

Story continues below advertisement

The story of this small band of men has been told, but not told enough.

Spann was killed during the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi when Taliban prisoners gained access to weapons and attacked.

Spann was killed during that uprising (see video).  One of the prisoners was the so-called American Taliban, John Walker Lindh, who Spann interrogated shortly before Spann’s death. Legal Insurrection)

Back in 2001, Lindh was reviled by the American people. He was public enemy number one. American knew what was what. 18 years later and American is under siege subsumed by the enemy who dictates who we are, what we can and cannot say and who is the enemy.

War hero Spann is dead, but Abdul nee Lindh walks free. He should have been put to death by firing squad in Afghanistan.

Father of Mike Spann
Mike Spann poses with his children Allison, 9, right, Emily, 3, left and Jake, 6 months, taken at their home in Manassas, Va. the day he left for Afghanistan.

Like terror mastermind Sheik Omar Rahman, John Walker Lindh, used the “I Am a Muslim” defense, which had been attempted in a variety of federal and state court contexts for over 20 years. he argues that a more subtle version is in play whenever a Muslim party insists on the right not to cooperate with authorities, and when he/she objects to the religious make-up of juries or religious affiliation of judges.

Muslim litigants who attempted to explain their conduct by their religious beliefs and mandates. I consider these findings an extension of the “Overlooked History” series I have been posting over the last few months on the Counterterrorism Blog. The “I Am a Muslim” defense was most prominently on display in the cases of Sheik Omar Rahman and John Walker Lindh, but has been attempted in a variety of federal and state court contexts for over 20 years. In 2017, John Lindh, the American soldier who  fought with the Taliban in Afghanistan — essentially fighting against his own U.S. military members, an outright act of treason — has expressed, from his prison cell, “cautious support” for ISIS.

John Walker Lindh, American ex-Taliban fighter, to be released in May, hasn’t denounced Islamism

FOX News, March 19, 2019:

John Walker Lindh, American ex-Taliban fighter, to be released in May, hasn’t denounced Islamism
By Lukas Mikelionis | Fox News

John Walker Lindh, a former American Taliban militant, is due to be freed in May following his conviction in 2002 for the support of the Taliban.

The former Islamist fighter, dubbed “Detainee 001 in the war on terror,” was arrested in 2001, just months after the Sept. 11 attacks and the start of the war in Afghanistan. Then just 20 years old, he was among a group of Taliban fighters who were captured by U.S. forces.

Within a year, Walker Lindh was convicted of supporting the Taliban and sentenced to 20 years in prison — even as some hardliners urged authorities to consider treason charges that could have resulted in the death penalty.

THE TERRORIST NEXT DOOR: STATES CONSIDER SEX-OFFENDER-STYLE REGISTRIES FOR RELEASED TERROR INMATES

Walker Lindh’s release later this year is likely to be met with headaches for security services across the globe, especially since he has since acquired Irish citizenship and plans to move there — even though he hasn’t denounced radical Islamic ideology and has even made pro-Isis comments to the media.

The National Counterterrorism Center penned a document dated Jan. 24, 2017 claiming the former Taliban fighter remains as radicalized now as he was in 2001.

“As of May 2016, John Walker Lindh (USPER) — who is scheduled to be released in May 2019 after being convicted of supporting the Taliban — continued to advocate for global jihad and to write and translate violent extremist texts,” the Foreign Policy magazine reported.

The report added Walker Lindh told “a television news producer that he would continue to spread violent extremist Islam upon his release.”

It appears, however, that the Irish government won’t follow the example of the British government — which rescinded a Jihadi bride’s British citizenship — and won’t stop Walker Lindh from entering the country.

ISIS FIGHTERS TIED TO KILLING 4 AMERICANS IN SYRIA CAPTURED BY US-BACKED FORCES, US OFFICIAL SAYS

“Irish citizens are not subject to immigration control,” the spokesman for Ireland’s Department of Justice told the London Times. “Therefore, if a person has Irish citizenship and presents their Irish passport on arrival, they will not be refused entry to the state.”

Walker Lindh confirmed his plans to head to Ireland after his release in remarks he made to CAGE, a London-based organization focused on supporting people impacted by the War on Terror.

“I don’t really know what to expect from the Irish government. I know virtually nothing about them. I think the only reasonable way to present my case to them is to explain my unique circumstances that make my survival in the US practically impossible.
— John Walker Lindh

“I don’t really know what to expect from the Irish government,” he wrote to the group, according to the newspaper. “I know virtually nothing about them. I think the only reasonable way to present my case to them is to explain my unique circumstances that make my survival in the US practically impossible.”

He added: “Essentially I am seeking asylum from one country where I am a citizen in another country where I am also a citizen. The worst they can do is decline my request. I figure it is worth at least trying.”

In the U.S., meanwhile, multiple lawmakers have called for the creation of a registry of convicted terrorists, modeled after sex-offender registries, as multiple high-profile releases are set to take place in the next two years.

Decepticon Paul Ryan Joins Fox News Board of Directors…
Posted on March 19, 2019 by sundance

A week after saying any Democrat who made the 2020 presidential race about “Trump’s personality” will beat him, Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch hires Paul Ryan to serve as a board member for the news organization. This announcement follows on the heels of Fox News hiring the former head of the DNC, Donna “Debate-Gate” Brazile, as a contributor. Yes, it is clear to see the direction and intent of Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch.

(Even CNN fired Donna Brazile for being a liar.)

It must also be remembered that in 2013 Fox News worked behind the scenes to facilitate the Senate’s comprehensive immigration reform platform. Additionally, a year later, Murdoch himself advocated for Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio as the preferred candidates in 2016, using Megyn Kelly to achieve their objective. Yes, it is all one unfortunate, political and ideological continuum.

So, the traitor is being released. Maybe he won’t make it to Ireland. Maybe the military transport plane taking him to Ireland, will make an unscheduled “drop” out over the mid-Atlantic.

It will not be a military transport plane. He will have to fly a regular civilian flight. I would not want an American Air Force crew to lose their lives any way because of this pile of fecal matter.

Well, a regular civilian aircraft doesn’t have a lowering tail door in the back like a military transport plane does. Which would be the perfect method of disposal for that kind of garbage.

Lindh intends to kill and will do so until and unless he is killed and sent to Hell where he surely belongs. Mr.Lindh will not find it comfortable living in Ireland. The Irish don’t care much for Muslims and even less for the committed terrorist type. Unfortunately, once he enters Ireland he has free, unfettered access to all of the EU and we will soon hear of him again as he is certain to emerge as a terrorist icon somewhere in Europe.

Absolutely unbelievable…!
This is part of todays national journey into convoluted confusion as part of the cause of vets committing suicide.

The view of such a dark + forboding look into the American future leaves them hopeless…..
What did they lay their lives on the line for while killing terrorists- leaving fellow American soldiers maimed or dead on the field of battle…..for what?….this is a very sad legacy for them to see.

America’s “1st Great Awakening” (search this) – was the spiritual impetous, wisdom, courage + Faith that created us with Hope + moral conviction from 1740 onward to “stand fast” in understanding for the setting up of “God given unalienable Rights” = now perverted at every turn by socialist tyrants into meaninglessness.

Only a return to the God that made us can carry us thru with Faith+trust in the Providential Hand that carried our Founders to actually perservere.
This is clearly stated in our Declaration’s 3 short pages by them facing daunting odds= *take time to read them.

We have one of this filth in Canada. Omar Khadr, the admitted ISIS terrorist who killed one American soldier and blinded another. Trudeau brought him to Canada and rewarded him with $10.5 MILLION. It gives the impression Trudeau hates Americans other than the Clintons. Trudeau is not the innocent pretty little boy he pretends to be. Trudeau lies.

This is disgraceful and stupid. He should have been executed upon capture. Now matters have come to this disgusting mess. It would not be so if Americans had done what South African mercenaries did in Nigeria when hired to fight the Muslims of Boko Haram. They took no prisoners, just killed the bloody lot of Muslims and gave then a taste of their own medicine. You Americans are too soft. Sometimes that is a serious disadvantage because now you have an enemy in your midst.
