Any comment from Jussie Smollett? The left is so deranged with its hatred of Trump that it has already denounced this initiative, despite ostensibly being for gay rights. Out magazine actually ran a story entitled, “Trump’s Plan to Decriminalize Homosexuality Is an Old Racist Tactic.” These people can’t get out of their own way. Obama never undertook an initiative such as this. If he had, he would have been hailed and lionized, and Out magazine would have been ululating its joy, not calling him a racist. The left is now the home of Jew-haters and people so insane with hatred for the President that they oppose an initiative they would wholeheartedly support if anyone on their side had begun it.

Officials have told NBC News that President Donald Trump’s administration wants to launch a global campaign to end criminalization of homosexuality.

The U.S. embassy is flying in LGBT activists from across Europe for a strategy dinner to plan to push for decriminalization in places that still outlaw homosexuality — mostly concentrated in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
“It is concerning that, in the 21st century, some 70 countries continue to have laws that criminalize LGBTI status or conduct,” said a U.S. official involved in organizing the event.
Although the decriminalization strategy is still being hashed out, officials say it’s likely to include working with global organizations like the United Nations, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as other countries whose laws already allow for gay rights. Other U.S. embassies and diplomatic posts throughout Europe, including the U.S. Mission to the E.U., are involved, as is the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.
Narrowly focused on criminalization, rather than broader LGBT issues like same-sex marriage, the campaign was conceived partly in response to the recent reported execution by hanging of a young gay man in Iran, the Trump administration’s top geopolitical foe….
72 nations have laws against homosexuality and eight of them have it as a crime punishable by death. This includes Saudi Arabia, one of our the biggest Middle East allies. Trump celebrated a visit to Oman by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but he risks alienating them since the country sentences homosexuals to prison.
Grenell condemned the hanging that took place in Iran:
Grenell called the hanging “a wake-up call for anyone who supports basic human rights,” in Bild, a leading German newspaper, this month.
“This is not the first time the Iranian regime has put a gay man to death with the usual outrageous claims of prostitution, kidnapping, or even pedophilia. And it sadly won’t be the last time,” Grenell wrote. “Barbaric public executions are all too common in a country where consensual homosexual relationships are criminalized and punishable by flogging and death.”
He added that “politicians, the U.N., democratic governments, diplomats and good people everywhere should speak up — and loudly.”…
But I thought Trump hated the gays and Vice President Mike Pence wanted to put them in camps!

Trump is getting it from all sides but I don’t see THIS as the issue to use.
While Christians don’t want homosexuals put to death… opposing Christian slaughter and global anti semitism would be more appropriate. Geesh! All you have to do is use the Quran as the evidence of that. That issue affects more people than LBGT.

I don’t agree with this at all!
I understand he is trying to break up the coalition with the EU and the U.N. with Iran and Muslims but I believe it is the WRONG ISSUE! He wants to put a wedge between Muslims and the west. The Muslim punishment for homosexuality in Islam is death.
The issue should be antisemitism and the slaughter of Christians in the middle east and
Jew and Christian hatred going on globally. by MUSLIMS!

Interesting the report is always “Trump Administration” thus insulating Trump from whatever his underlings are doing. I don’t expect this to go anywhere. EU is under Muslim control / Dhimmitude so it will go nowhere.

I doubt it will go anywhere either. I agree the EU is under Muslim control. They LOVE Iran and doing all possible to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive. The EU is trying to go around U.S. sanctions against Iran.
Both sides will probably feign shock, give lip service and ignore it. Or they can be life France and pretend to be upset over anti semitism and do nothing about it but verbally condemn it as they import more Muslims in causing the problem. We even have U.S. politicians telling the EU and Iran to WAIT OUT TRUMP.
I have just never seen anything like this on a global scale – the insanity and the hypocrisy to destroy the Judeo Christian roots of western civilization in exchange for a barbaric Islamic way of life. I have been impatiently waiting for sanity to return and instead it just gets worse. All I can say is for Christians, His second coming maybe sooner than we think…

Regardless of Trumps’ background/former days, I was strongly under the impression that as of taking the office, he began actively seeking God’s guidance through open and collective prayer every day, even multiple times a day, at various meetings, and many individuals across the land were praying for him as well.
Focusing on this particular issue is very curious indeed. It is, as most people know, a sin, even a detestable sin as laid out in both the OT and NT. It is also the second level attack on the sanctity and definition of marriage (the first was a changing perspective from within the institution itself) that has culminated in what is seen today in that broader expanded community that equates literal insanity with what was “normal”. It didn’t begin the “slippery slope”, but it sure pushed the ball with gusto till, after losing the theological fight, we surpassed the logical defense as well.
But there is a third curious element to this (just in case you needed more), and that is the revelations coming out now about the level of homosexuality in the RCC, particularly within the Vatican itself. I was already thinking that Francis was going to spin this on a “we’re all God’s children and who are we to judge” angle, but this would play into that well and deflect much of the criticism that was surely coming. The Pope may well spin this to his advantage, especially if he cracks a few skulls over the pedophilia stuff.
I emphasize this third point because it seemed as though the RCC was about to lose a significant portion of its’ status on the world stage, and that would have been incongruent with scripture and prophecy. We know that the RCC plays a major role in the end times beast system, therefore it must survive as unblemished as it can to retain its’ prophetical stature. As you say, of all the issues to take a stand on, very curious indeed, and well worth watching its’ outcome.
I will put it out there, can it be that Trump is indeed following God’s will on this issue as well, if indeed it was the only possible way to keep the RCC from imploding before its’ time. I’ll admit I’m not comfortable with the idea, but I do know she rides a scarlet beast while whoring with the world, and meets her end after much evil takes the land – she can’t do that if a scandal neuters her. Time will tell.

You do not seem to be aware that homosexuality is not criminal in most if not all EU states. Personally I have no time for the LGBT gang and their ‘Pride’. However I do not think they should be punished for what they wish to do as it harms nobody but themselves

Just like the mental illness of incest and bestiality, homosexuality is a danger to society, especially the children. It spreads sexual crime, disease, depression and death in all societies. It breaks up families and subjugates people of faith when it gain acceptance by governmental force, as Trump is doing.

I’ll be frank: here on Ms. Geller’s page is the first place I ever heard of this Trump-admin initiative, and I’m a pretty wide reader of news outlets. But maybe that’s my fault for not seeing what I’m looking at? Sure, it wasn’t promoted to the top of the front mage on most media, but it was reported in NBC TV news, the NY Times, among others. Perhaps the fact it also seemed to be the first time Trump had heard of the initiative, when he was questioned about it recently by a reporter, may have something to do with the media’s scepticism over how serious Trump is about pushing this.
Some critics see the announcement by Trump’s openly-gay US Ambassador to Germany as a mere ploy to get European countries on board behind Trump’s renewed sanctions on Iran, by re-framing Iran’s total conduct as a human-rights issue. Whether it is a cynical ploy or not, it’s partly Trump’s own fault no one believes he really wants this, since he has “cried wolf” far too often over other issues just to get an emotional reaction. That said, I wish him all success, both in the decriminalization initiative, AND in the renewed sanctions against the dangerous, Jew-hating regime in Iran — whatever it takes to limit or even bring down the Ayatollah’s regime is fine with me.
