Build the wall. Imagine the devastation and destruction of lives these drugs would have caused if they had not been found. And then consider the fact that the Democrat Party leadership is hell-bent on stopping President Trump from protecting Americans from this kind of thing by building a wall along our Southern border. They are so single-minded in their determination to enlarge their voting base and secure themselves in power for another generation that they are willing to see innumerable Americans dead and others with their lives shattered, just so they can enjoy the perks and privileges of office. They are traitors and criminals.
“Largest Fentanyl Drug Bust In History Made As Truck Tried Crossing The Southern Border,” by Mike Brest, Daily Caller, January 30, 2019:

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol seized enough fentanyl to kill over 50 million people from a truck that was trying to cross the southern border into the United States, according to an investigation by “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“Well, the U.S. border patrol has made the biggest fentanyl bust in history. An enormous amount, enough fentanyl to kill—they estimate—57 million people. That’s more than the combined population of the states of Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania. It’s a lot,” Carlson stated.
“We got our hands on an internal memo from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol that details this bust. The biggest fentanyl seizure in U.S. history,” Fox News Correspondent Hillary Vaughn began. “According to the memo, four days ago in Nogales, Arizona, at the port of entry, CBP officers stopped a tractor-trailer crossing the U.S.-Mexico border into the U.S. with enough fentanyl to kill 57 million people. That’s plenty of fatal dose to wipe out the entire populations of Texas, Arizona and New York state combined.”
She continued:
They found this under the floor of the trailer. They found 114 kilograms of fentanyl. According to the DEA, just two milligrams is considered a lethal dose. They also grabbed 179 kg of methamphetamine and one gram of fentanyl in pill form. The street value for the fentanyl over $102 million. The CBP officers arrested the smuggler, a Mexican national who attempted to drive the drugs across the border. The suspect was a part of the DHS’s trusted traveler program called FAST, that stands for free and secure trade for commercial vehicles. The program started after 9/11….

It’s always that way. On the way out they have their golden parachute and we get the bill.
We should have LET THEM FAIL. Otherwise, why worry if you are incompetent and you bankrupt a LARGE company? Small companies don’t get tax dollar bailouts.

The Libertarians keep saying that the wall is to keep us in. Lot of different ways of looking at the wall subject, but I know how to fly, so it doesn’t effect me. I stumbled upon the Libertarians national convention, wow. They’ve been infiltrated to. Should’ve took a picture of the about 6×8 sign the said, ” Muslins for Liberty.” There is no way I’ll ever be convinced there ever was or will be an Arabic word that captures the essence of liberty.

Today you don’t hear that argument much. They want OPEN BORDERS!
They want a global utopia. They want to believe that with being a global citizen there will be no more wars or strife. When wealth is redistributed then we will all be happy.
Merit is unimportant to them. Merit is considered unfair so we get lower standards, watered down “knowledge” which is really touchy feely propaganda so everyone looks the same. They don’t want academic super stars. They want to view you as an interchangeable widget.
The problem is, we are equal is human beings but we are unequal in talent and ability. Education or propaganda won’t change that. Look at race in the U.S. and how well they do academically. Most pubic high schools have a breakdown on race. Now look at the countries we are being invaded by Look at the average world IQ map. Education won’t solve the problem… the invaders will drag any country down they dominate.

The Berlin wall as you say was meant to stop the East Germans fleeing to more prosperous West Germany, it also had watch towers and mine fields and anyone seen trying to cross even that was shot usually lethally by the border guards.

The problem isn’t drugs, it’s that people want to take them. It’s not temptation, it’s that you listen to it. Societal pressure should never be yielded to, but to be the best person you can be and if that’s not good enough for the critics, tell them to get someone else to grow their food, manufacture their products, and find someone better at fighting corruption and tyranny. Most who complain are part of the problem, for they have no solutions, or more correctly one that can’t work. The list of things on a personal bucket list can be endless and you can’t get on them while you’re under the control of a harmful substance.

You have a good point! Unfortunately, as a country, our values and morality is not what it used to be. People are unrestrained and less civil. Being rebellious and shocking seems to be more the norm. We are degenerating as a country. Some people can’t resist what’s not good for them. Marijuana has been proven to destroy your cognitive ability and often leads to harder drugs and look how people clamor for it and it is legal in some states. Crime goes up, when they lose their jobs due to performance. So what do other states do? Legalize it! Just look at all the obese people out there. Former Governor Chris Christie even had his stomach stabled and still he is immense. He has no self control when it comes to eating. Drugs or even food allow them to escape themselves and life. People are less caring today too. Look at Whitney Houston. The day she over dosed, she was acting strange. People saw it and did nothing. People have become very hands off.

The commiecrats’ favorite argument against a wall is that these huge busts take place at the ports of entry. Well, duh! Build the damn wall so that remote border breaches, of which there are many, are funneled to such “choke points” as those ports or at least disrupted to a credible degree.

Wait, SERIOUSLY? “The wall” would have done NOTHING to stop this shipment or almost all of those like it.
The article states, “at the port of entry, CBP officers stopped a tractor-trailer crossing the U.S.-Mexico border ” This was at a MONITORED official border crossing on a PAVED ROAD with a MASSIVE TRACTOR-TRAILER. That’s how most of the drugs — and most of the “human trafficking” and other evils that BOTH parties want to minimize and prevent — come into the country.
“The wall” is a ridiculous excuse for ACTUAL, thoughtful border security measures.
I doubt even Trump really wants to build it. He WANTS Congress to keep saying “no” to such idiocy so he can RILE UP HIS BASE and, just maybe, get re-elected. That’s what this posturing really means.
Ms. Geller, would you please stop with the slavish pandering to Trump and get back to what you REALLY started this site for, exposing and opposing Islamic terrorism and creeping Sharia triumphalism? Thank you.

I keep wondering about why the dems are so against the wall. Most likely….because it would work. the only possible explanation is that they are on the payroll of the drug cartels. They bought the president of Mexico for $100 million. That is chump change to the cartels. They would not have to pay all the dems, just the leadership. Please do not even begin to tell me that Chuck and Nancy are above that! They have walls around their houses, don’t they? Nancy sure did not like it when those protesters jumped over her wall, did she? Did she invite them in for lunch? Nope!
