CNN’s Jake Tapper recently had a segment on the Democrat Party’s plummeting support for Israel. Never do we see articulate and passionate Zionists making the argument against the irrational hatred of the Jews. My colleagues and I are never invited to debate. Because people would agree with us. The segment below occurred shortly after 22 Senate Democrats (including 5 presidential candidates) shamefully voted against anti-BDS legislation. One of Tapper’s panelists was the far-left Symone Sanders.
Sanders stated that “there is a lack of nuance in the conversation” and “that you cannot be critical of the government of Israel’s actions without someone calling you an anti-Semite.” Sanders is lying. No rational person who supports Israel would ever consider criticism of Israel to be anti-Semitic. Like all free countries, Israel should subject to criticism. However, when one demands that Israel live up to an impossible standard, than that is indeed anti-Semitism. Sanders suggested that Israel supporters are trying to stifle debate on the Israel-Palestinian issue. On the contrary, it is the pro-Palestinian left (as evidenced in this segment) who do not want debate. That is because they know they will lose.
When David Urban responded to Sanders, he quickly referenced the genocidal terrorist group Hamas. Unfortunately, Urban was quickly shouted down by Sanders with more nonsense. Jake Tapper lost control of the debate. Urban could not defend Israel’s position, since Sanders almost immediately resorted to shouting and insults. The segment was a disgrace, and is indicative of why CNN should not be considered a real news network.
CNN is the network of choice for Israel haters. Why wouldn’t it be? CNN allows their panelists to defame Israel with impunity. CNN will never invite a panelist who can clearly articulate Israel’s moral obligation to defend itself against Palestinian terrorism, which is perpetrated by both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. CNN will never invite a panelist who can accurately discuss Islamic anti-Semitism. CNN will never invite a panelist who will expose the barbaric Palestinian incitement against Israelis. CNN will not invite a panelist who can discuss the Palestinian “pay to slay Jews” policy. Instead, CNN will usually have weak and ignorant debaters representing Israel. These debaters are usually no match for anti-Israel activists such as Peter Beinart and Thomas Friedman, who are frequent guests on CNN’s fake-news shows.
CNN’s anti-Israel bias is indisputable. CNN will deliberately only allow one narrative to be well represented on their network, and that is the Palestinian narrative. CNN will also rarely admit that the Palestinians have rejected multiple peace offers from the Israelis, or that the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state in any boundaries. It is the Palestinians who have chosen a life of perpetual war and poverty by refusing to negotiate peace with Israel. CNN will rarely (if ever) expose that fact.
