Oberkapo Bernie Sanders slams Netanyahu’s government (again) as ‘racist’ during CNN town hall

President Trump: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal “sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark.”

When morons get elected …..

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal is the biggest single government expansion since the 1930s, masquerading as climate policy. (here)

Delve into the text, and the climate change-curbing veneer amounts to a Trojan horse for a bigger nationalization of the economy than seen under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The sponsors themselves say their goal is the “massive transformationof our society” in a progressive image, rather than simply stopping global warming.

How else can one explain policies that include a federal jobs guarantee, economic security for those unable to work, provision of housing, free health care, higher education for all and a family living wage? Besides the plan’s calls for electrifying the whole transport system and undertaking a crippling federal financing of renewable energy over 10 years, it reads like a wish list for socializing the economy.

Trump: Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ sounds like a ‘high school term paper’

By Marisa Schultz, NY Post, February 12, 2019:

President Trump blasted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal as a flunky high school idea Monday night, prompting the Bronx congresswoman to mock the president’s intellect.

Trump was holding a rally in El Paso, where he said Ocasio-Cortez’s signature plan to combat climate change “sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark.”

Trump claimed the plan would mean taking away cars, tearing down buildings and shutting down air travel.

“How do you take a train to Europe?” Trump joked at his rally in Texas.

Ocasio-Cortez hit back at the president on Twitter.

“Ah yes, a man who can’t even read briefings written in full sentences is providing literary criticism of a House Resolution,” she said.

She then referenced a Washington Post article from a year ago that said Trump skips reading intelligence briefings and instead prefers oral reports.

The Green New Deal House resolution introduced last week calls for the elimination of the US carbon footprint through massive investments in clean energy sources and jobs that support the new technology and infrastructure.

Several 2020 Democratic hopefuls have already embraced the proposal.
