Ex-Muslim teen granted asylum in Canada gets 24-hour security amid online threats from Muslims

45

No Women’s March for Rahaf. No CNN or NBC specials. The left and its media lapdogs stand with the Islam. Under Islamic law, apostasy is punishable by death. I receive emails from Muslims like Rahaf every week begging me to help them escape Muslim countries because they left Islam and fear death from their families, mosque and communities. But in a world and culture driven by leftist ideologies, my organization and my colleagues are smeared, defamed and libeled for our lifesaving work, while sharia totalitarians such as Linda Sarsour and savages like her are exalted.

“Saudi teen granted asylum in Canada gets 24-hour security amid online threats,” by Andrea Janus, CBC, January 15, 2019:

A Saudi teen who fled alleged abuse by her family considers herself “one of the lucky ones” now that she has arrived as a refugee in Canada, but the agency tasked with getting her settled has still arranged 24-hour security for her in the wake of online threats.

Story continues below advertisement

Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, 18, arrived in Toronto on the weekend as a government-sponsored refugee, after taking to social media to allege abuse at the hands of her father. She said she was also fleeing attempts to force her into an arranged marriage.

After locking herself in a Bangkok hotel room and tweeting details of her plight, including fears of what would happen to her if she returned to her family in Saudi Arabia, Canada permitted her entry as a government-sponsored refugee, acting on a United Nations request.

Since arriving in Canada, she has dropped her last name, instead using Mohammed, saying her family has disowned her.

Mohammed’s public campaign, which was covered widely by international media, has also led to online threats against her, according to COSTI, the agency contracted by the federal government to help refugees, including Mohammed, get settled in Toronto. So steps have been taken to ensure there is someone with her at all times, be it an agency staffer or a private security guard.

It’s hard to say how serious the threats are, Mario Calla, executive director of COSTI, told reporters Tuesday morning.

But, Calla said, “we are taking these seriously because she’s our responsibility and so we want to be sure she’s protected.”

Without offering details about what round-the-clock security will cost — other than to say it’s “not a great amount” — Calla said either the federal government or COSTI will foot the bill.

But he said it’s “not unusual” for the agency to hire private security for refugees. There are about two “urgent protection” cases each year in which the government will expedite a refugee claim and ensure that person has extra security….

Memo to CBC’s Andrea Janus:
A father in Saudi Arabia has the RIGHT under Sharia to kill his daughter, penalty-free.
Killing is the punishment for resisting an arranged marriage, which sullies his “honor” (his ownership of her).
Killing – by anyone, penalty-free – is the punishment for leaving Islam.

These factors make this case much more than domestic abuse.

Any Muslim father has the right. Whether it is in Saudi Arabia or Canada, honor killings happen!
If they are like the U.S. honor killings are bundled into “domestic violence” so we really don’t know how many happen in the U.S. but we know they DO happen.
Texas ‘honor killing’ suspect could be hiding in plain sight as NYC cabbie, investigator says

Someone is lying…. In her interview Rahaf denies her father was abusing her in any form. She stated it was her brother, a year older than her, and her mother being abusive. She stated her father doesn’t live with them. She makes no statement on an arranged marriage threat. Why didn’t she if it was true? That can easily be bundled into a female rights issue…. I’m just glad the U.S. didn’t take her in. Canada and Saudi Arabia and not on good terms so it make sense for them to take her.

She is the daughter of a Saudi Governor. Her father doesn’t live with her mother and brother so they are probably divorced. She will need to look over her shoulder the rest of her life. She will always need protection. I think she rejects anyone telling her what to do…

I can’t imagine Muslims in Canada being happy with her… She will be a problem… Her reaction to her family disowning her was interesting. In the future she may regret what she did. She loves her family allot.. She may have gotten what she wanted without fleeing as Saudi Arabia loosens up. She is young and impatient and from a well to do family.

CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) does journalism on international news and interviewed her.
Here is the full interview with her https://www.facebook.com/thenational/videos/370779710388574/

Notice how CBC went to painful lengths to IGNORE how her life was regulated by ISLAM!
When her parents disowned her, their letter to her acknowledged this was clear her actions were against Islamic customs and traditions. Still no questions on ISLAM They are making this a female rights issue and not about ISLAM.

There are things not right with her story…. this could have been a rebellious situation that went too far.
I am not suggesting she was not “oppressed” but if it is true she renounced Islam, I agree with you, why still allow any identification with Mohammad? BTW there was no mention on the link I posted of her renouncing Islam. The media is spinning this as a female human rights issue and ignoring Islam.

I think it was more of a matter of rebellion gone wild. She was clearly hurt when her family disowned her and she loves her father who doesn’t live with them, I don’t think she will be too happy after the newness of being in Canada wears off. I don’t think she understands that she is not really free….She will always need protection. Instead of an uncle it will be s stranger.

It is also my understanding that female Muslims are allowed to attend the university in Saudi Arabia. It maybe her uncle the male guardian, that is very oppressive but Saudi Arabia is changing…

Saudi Arabia opens the world’s largest university for women …
Fri 27 May 2011 01.59 EDT

The world’s largest women-only university was opened barely two weeks ago by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Situated on the outskirts of the capital, Riyadh, the Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University is ambitious – it has the capacity for 50,000 students and will improve women’s access to courses such as business and science. It has a teaching hospital, laboratories and libraries.

Saudi women are forced to live under the control of a male guardian, usually a father or husband, without whose authority they cannot get a job, travel or open a bank account. They cannot leave the house alone or without wearing the niqab, and are banned from driving a car. (This might have been her frustration. They can now drive a car.)

A woman-only university — if that’s not a sign of a gender apartheid state what is? Nazi Germany and the USSR and N. Korea allowed/allow women into universities, but that doesn’t in anyway imply they were free or democratic states.

I have no problem with separating males and females. Catholic schools do it for lunch and some have separate gym classes for males and females. At a Catholic school, during lunch girls sit at one table and boys on a separate table in the same lunchroom. At one time we had the BSA and GSA. Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts were separated by sex. In New Jersey for example we have Mount Saint Mary’s and Saint Joseph High School. They purposely have socials for them to mix but education is in separate schools. There are lots of private schools around like that.

There may even be a few all female and all male colleges and universities here too. I see pros and cons on it. In general it doesn’t phase me and I don’t associate it with being apartheid or Nazi stuff. I prefer to allow people to have FREEDOM even if you don’t like it. Separating by gender is hardly an “apartheid” or a “Nazi” idea.

To each his own………….

Women in Soddy Barbaria will ONLY be allowed to go to women’s universities and men only allowed to go to men’s universities that is the definition of apartheid.

felix1999
felix1999

Again, we do have female only and male only schools in the U.S.!
There is nothing wrong with that. It’s choice! Boy Scouts are now mixed.
Girl Scouts are still female only – its not an”apartheid”.

Here’s a partial list of FEMALE ONLY colleges and universities in the U.S.
There are TONS of them!
https://www.thoughtco.com/top-womens-colleges-in-the-u-s-788338

In the U.S. there are only FOUR private male only colleges:

Morehouse College
Hampden-Sydney College
Saint John’s University
Wabash College

I guess I don’t understand why males and females can’t have SEPARATE spaces whether it is for education or even socializing. Sororities and Fraternities are by gender and I have no problem with that either. I guess the more interesting question is why are you so paranoid about that? There are times when you don’t want females around and just have some time with guys. I get tired of females always inserting themselves in situations only because they are females. Doing that is taking away freedom.

No one is required to attend a male only or female only university or college in the USA, similarly no one is required to join the Boy Scouts (which do allow girls now) or the Girl Scouts. in Soddy Barbaria, women are required to go to female only unis or colleges. Furthermore I don’t believe a male can be rejected solely on the basis of sex when applying to say, Mt. St. Marys. As a matter of fact, I personally know a GUY who graduated from Mt. St. Marys in Los Angeles!

felix1999
felix1999

People like choices! You are right No one is required to attend a male or female only activity or a school. It is a choice! Some people prefer it and it should be allowed. The BSA has changed and it is going bankrupt too. Sexual molestation lawsuits from allowing homosexuals in as Scout leaders and scouts are causing this as well as Mormons leaving the BSA with their money. They don’t want their kids around this. The GSA is still female only.

In an female ONLY college, university or K-12 school, yes a MALE WILL BE REJECTED. I am absolutely shocked that you would be surprised at this.
These are private schools and set their own rules. Why is this such a problem with you? Why can’t others have same gender only education? It’s been going on since the creation of our country!

I could care less about what California does but for the record –

Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles has an
undergraduate program for women only and
a graduate program for men and women.

From Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles website:

Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Mount Saint Mary’s University is an independent, Catholic, liberal arts university which provides a values-based undergraduate education for women, as well as innovative programs for graduate and professional men and women on two historic campuses in Los Angeles. It is nationally recognized for its academic programs, its culturally diverse student body, and its focus on preparing the next generation of citizen leaders…..
https://www.msmu.edu/about-the-mount/university-diversity-statement/

I guess I don’t understand your obsession with not allowing choice and having male and female separate education. Let their be choices!

Afghanistain and Soddy Barbaria both have female only schools — and muslum men poisoned the water supply at such an Afghani school and another one in Soddy Barbaria suspiciously burned to the ground (along w/some of the girls who couldn’t get out without their mandated attire).

I feel sorry for her. She is in a can’t win situation. She traded in an uncle for never being allowed to being alone. She will need protection at all times. She will always be looking over her shoulder. What she fled in Saudi Arabia is what Muslims want in the west. They want Sharia Law and women covered up.

They have been loosening up in Saudi Arabia because they can’t depend on oil for wealth as they had in the past. Other technologies have made us and other countries less dependent on them. They want to be a luxurious vacation mecca with some Hollywood “G” rated movies and females can attend a university and drive. They allow them to go to a university but they have to have the permission of a guardian and be escorted. Who ever is assigned to her, won’t care as much as family would despite being “oppressed”.

At 18 she might have become impatient. I think if she had hung in there she’d be happier there. I also don’t think she thought through the impact of what she did. They had to stop interviewing her so she could compose herself when asked about her family disowning her. She is a pampered young lady and very demanding. She wasn’t too happy about how cold it was in Canada. It’s too bad Australia didn’t take her in. She would be used to warmer weather. Time will tell how things work out for her.

“won’t care as much as family would…” Huh? In all likelihood she would have been killed if she didn’t marry whoever she was assigned to marry by her caring family. If that’s caring, I’ll pass.
My family used to know a Soddy Barbarian family. When the mother expressed an abstract desire to divorce her man master she mysteriously died on a trip to Soddy Barbaria. When asked about what happened to his mother, the son stated she had died of an “aspirin overdose”.

felix1999

She didn’t complain about being forced to marry someone – at least not in the interviews I have seen on her. I was curious about her. Maybe others were expecting that to happen.

I don’t know how it works in your family but in ours we don’t have “arranged” marriages but we certainly put our two cents in on a contender. We look out for one another and don’t want our kids with the wrong friends or marry the wrong person. I guess it depends on how you raise your kids. When there is love and trust there with a good track record, they do listen to you.

I can defend murdering a woman that wanted a divorce. It’s not something we would do.
I can’t speak for this Muslim girl’s family except to say, they are done with her. She has no one in her life that really cares about her now.

I can’t imagine what this poor girl’s life is going to be like. Just like Salman Rushdie she’ll have to always be looking over her shoulder (unless she undergoes plastic surgery to alter her appearance) because there are muslums who are actively trying to kill her/kidnap her, millions of muslums who would kill her, millions more muslums who would gladly inform on her and the rest of the muslums couldn’t care less whether she lives or dies.

I’m thinking that come the warmer weather of 2019 and Toronto is going to look a lot more like Paris. It seems that nation wide in Canada their numbers have suddenly skyrocketed. Along with that migration pact that traitor Trudeau signed, Canada is soon to look like a war zone. Canadians have no clue of the danger that they are in.

I went way back on her twitter and I saw a few things:

1. her father works for the Saudi govt

2. she cut her hair pixie style and was locked in her room for 6 months as punishment until it grew out like it was in these recent photos—maybe to look unattractive as in Saudi culture there are rules that short hair cuts are not allowed in girls, “cos they look like boys” Nor are they allowed to wear jeans and pants outside e.g. to school

3 So was it an act of rebellion, is she gay? ( because a Sydney based girl who also fled said now they can be together with lots of red heart emojis)

4.She threatened to release actual photographic proof of severe abuse

5. She posted an odd photo of a women dressed in a pale pink silk shoestring nighty —viewed from the back-with an older man in a suit following her into a bedroom—her father? brother?

6. There was talk that she was to be married off to an older man

Seriously, she is a rich brat from Saudi Arabia, who spent most of her time on social media and dreaming of living in the west – where she can “do whatever she likes”. She had the financial resources to hop on a flight to Bangkok and check into a hotel there, all the while proclaiming loudly on social media that her life was in danger. And no surprise, airhead Trudeau “rescues” her – all at the expense of Canadian taxpayers. Now we the taxpayers are paying for this brat to have 24 hour security? Where does this insanity end? The extent of the damage Trudeau has done since taking power in 2015 is breathtaking. On his watch, Canada is rapidly deteriorating into a third world dump. And Trudeau has just announced that he is awarding the Palestinians $50,000,000.00 of Canadian taxpayers money https://www.spencerfernando.com/2018/07/31/why-is-justin-trudeau-giving-50-million-of-our-taxpayer-dollars-to-the-palestinians/
