Women in Iran were granted the right to vote in 1963.
They were first admitted to Iranian universities in 1937. Since then, several women have held high-ranking posts in the government or parliament. Before and after the 1979 revolution, several women were appointed ministers or ambassadors.

Marzieh Afkham the second female ambassador for Iran appointed in 2015.. Mansoureh Sharifisadr is currently the director general of the foreign ministry’s human rights and women affairs department. Of course women there do not have the same rights as women in the west or in as many positions after the revolution.

I agree Iran is a troubled country. Any Muslim country is but to deny they don’t vote is ridiculous.I would guess their elections are as clean as U.S. elections. Between ballot harvesting, early voting, illegals voting, dead people voting and now Maine has
“ranking”.

Our elections are nothing to be of. proud of. In Maine a GOP candidate won by vote count but lost to a DEM based on voter ranking. Or if it is a recount, magically votes keep appearing to just tip it to the DEMS. Yet we “vote” too! Our country is rotting from within too….The U.S. still beats living in a Muslim country but I wonder for how long….
