UK: Jewish TV star threatened by Corbyn supporters

18

Will British authorities investigate these threats as aggressively as they pursue those who criticize jihad violence, which is a genuine threat? We shall see — it’s anybody’s guess in the Islamic state of Britain. Consider the fact that Jews have not attacked or threatened anybody, or boasted of any imminent conquest. Corbyn and other leftist politicians, however, can’t stop speaking negatively about them. Muslims, on the other hand, have mounted jihad attacks, threatened many, and boasted repeatedly of their coming conquest. And Corbyn and his friends can’t do enough to appease them.

“Countdown’s Rachel Riley is given extra security over ‘hideous abuse’ and physical threats from Labour supporters after criticising Jeremy Corbyn’s stance on anti-Semitism,” by Chris Hastings, Mail On Sunday, January 27, 2019:

Countdown star Rachel Riley has been given extra protection on the programme after her criticism of Jeremy Corbyn’s stance on anti-Semitism resulted in her being threatened by Labour supporters.

Story continues below advertisement

Ms Riley, 33, who is Jewish, yesterday revealed that security at the Channel 4 studio had been increased in the face of what she claimed was ‘hideous abuse’ and physical threats from people clearly identifying as Corbyn supporters.

She said: ‘We are getting more security for Countdown. By speaking up against anti-Semitism you are a target. I don’t take it lightly.

‘The more I speak, the more abuse I get, and the more abuse I get the more I speak.

‘It’s got to the point where I can’t look at my Twitter feed any more. It’s just a constant stream.’

Ms Riley – who joined the programme in 2009 after graduating in maths from Oxford – said she had felt compelled to speak out the more she had learned about anti-Semitism in Labour’s ranks.

She also said she was in no doubt about the political allegiances of her abusers. She told The Times: ‘With the hashtag Get The Tories Out or the red rose or hashtag JC4PM, they say to me, “You’re only calling out the Left.” Well, I have been attacked by people on the Left.’

One of her critics tweeted: ‘Rachel Riley is really milking this faux anti-Semitism outrage farce. Many of us see it for the b******s it is, a manufactured attack on anyone who dares criticise the Israeli regime’s Apartheid policies.’

Another sneered: ‘Rachel Riley proves that you can go to an elite uni and still be as thick as s***.’

Ms Riley, who last week addressed the Holocaust Educational Trust reception in Parliament, said that some of her critics had even contacted Channel 4 calling for her to be sacked.

She said: ‘People have been repeatedly messaging Channel 4 saying I should be fired or arrested — that I’m a racist and a white supremacist.’…

Excellent, I agree, Nefarious, I was thinking the same, after all May and Company are of the same antisemitic ilk as the Corbynites. The police are desensitized to anything that does not affect Muslims. Jews are deemed fair game throughout Britain and the entirety of the faux-Democratic West, including this Republic. Those caring for Riley’s security are not duped by the Brit authorities alliance with Islam.

If Corbyn and his Islamo Nazi supporters come to power, Riley and many, probably most UK Jews will leave to Israel, Australia or America and that will signify the literal end of what was known for many centuries, as Great Britain

The state of the Jews in any given country outside of Israel is a damn good barometer to the general state in that particular country, when they are forced to leave, all kinds of very bad things tend to happen…

Tolerating a mega, Antisemitic, pro Islamic scum bag like Corbyn and allowing him to become PM (unless he is swiftly removed out of power), will ultimately ruin modern day Britain

The Muhammadist attacks on Riley on the Twitter-platform might originate straight from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia owns the biggest stake of Twitter.

no. it originates from inside britain. the brits opened the door and are inundated by an overwhelming muslim population that brought with them their insane hatred of Jews and non muslims. they have taken over and destroyed british society. the EU mandates, the worldwide criminal organization, has done the rest. there won’t be any brexit.guaranteed.

I give Rachel Riley a lot of credit and more people should emulate her.

Simply for speaking out against anti-semitism she has been targeted and her safety and reputation in jeopardy. How sad it is to be Jewish in the UK today. The holocaust all over again. Hasn’t anyone learned anything from the holocaust. We live in a free democracy and if more people had courage to speak out maybe more people would have left German and Poland and escaped with their lives. Instead today France and Europe are going downhill instead of taking the high road.

G-d bless Rachel Riley.

when in glass houses Ms Geller don’t throw stones.
The jews in the UK just like the muslims are flooding our meat market with meat that has not been pre-stunned prior to slaughter.
UK laws states that only the meat from animals which have been stunned prior to slaughter is fit for human consumption. As you know the jews do not eat the rear end of any carcass and have been offloading it on to the national meat market for over 80 years now.

If you don’t like abuse then don’t abuse others.

Isn’t the answer to this conundrum obvious? It’s EASY and SAFE to demonize and slander the Jews, because Jews DON’T kill people just for expressing anti-Jewish views. And it’s DANGEROUS to accurately call out jihadism and Islamist misogyny for what it is, because doing that can get one banned or killed, or will spark a general riot among enraged and offended Muslim mobs who feel their values are being disrespected and blasphemed.

Obviously, one does not appease, or need to appease, one’s FRIENDS. You appease your ENEMIES, out of fear that the wolf will soon be at the door if you do NOT throw them a bone. Which, paradoxically, means those fools who adopt this view abandon their true friends to the wolves, while they feed red meat to their enemies. One would think that, after 1938 Munich, the craven and cowardly leaders of the West would have learned this is not going to end well.

I always find it shocking how Jews still vote for leftist parties when it is becoming increasingly clear that they care about Islam and Palestine far more than the Jewish people.

Some of us who are both liberal, and committed Jews, are working hard to oppose the kind of casual Jew-hatred disguised as “anti-Zionism” that passes for progressive virtue these days. It’s not as though we would find friendlier shores if we jumped ship and swam over to the party whose leader asserted there were some “very fine people” marching among the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, and whose xenophbic rants about a migrant caravan inspired a nutcase to murder people in a Pittsburgh synagogue. Not to mentoin that the liberal and tolerant social policies of the centrist left (the neo-Marxist far left is a whole different ball of wax) are very much in tune with Jewish values. That’s why Israel is a democracy, surrounded by autocratic one-man-rule dictatorships. And where do you think we are going in the USA, if our Dear Leader sluffs off Congress as irrelevant and declares a national emergency to build his idiotic wall? One-man rule is what he PROMISED us, back when he was running for office and claimed “I alone can fix it.”

Don’t even get me started about Corbyn, though. Or Bernie Sanders. Lost causes, both of them. But if we don’t stick around in the party that still (mostly) represents our values, and FIGHT the influx of antisemitic ideas disguised as anti-Zionism, who will? A handful of rotten apples doesn’t mean the whole barrel is rotten.

I certainly do not support everything the current administration has done, and I probably would not have voted given the chance last election.

But as far as I know, most Israeli Jews seem much more conservative than the majority of Jews in the United States. I graduated from a liberal university quite recently, I am very familiar with the politics, but I have to tell you, there is much hostility against Israel on many American campuses today. And I do not know what can be done to stop it.

Nor are white supremacists the only real threat to Jewish communities, Islamic radicalism is today a much more serous threat to at least Jews in Europe and Israel than fringe groups akin to the KKK. It is a complicated issue.

I am concerned, like you, over the growing hostility to Israel and to Jews on US and UK campuses. The physical and emotional risk is real, but let’s keep it in perspective. A solid majority of US citizens as well as UK subjects still identify with and support Israel. But a radical minority of 1970s-Soviet-inspired Jew-haters (and Western Civ-haters and Capitalism-haters) has been able to hijack academia AND the UN and leftist political parties, because they CARE passionately about these issues, and because most students as well as non-political faculty just don’t care enough to bother to oppose them — or are afraid to do so, over professional or reputational consequences. This is not a RATIONAL movement — Jews, and Israel, are simply standing in as stick figures bearing little resemblance to actual Jews or actual Israel, in a “morality play” that “politically correct” cadres replay for themselves endlessly as a form of “virtue signaling.” Their overly simplistic drama features evil “white” Jews oppressing innocent “brown” Palestinians, who are completely helpless victims, casting everything in stark shades of black and white with no grey areas, and especially not recognizing the conscious adult agency of the terrorist Arab leadership, its Islamist motivations, and the failure of the West to hold the terror cadres to the consequences of their actions. Israel is chastized because, out of existential necessity, it (mostly) does NOT kowtow to this conventional wisdom and DOES apply consequences to the brutal attacks against it.

Is there a short-term solution? I’m afraid not. Once these mass follies grab hold of a portion of the popular imagination they are distressingly hard to shake, until some reality event comes crashing in and destroys their fantasy. For the West, my guess is that will take some new, major Islamist terror attack to open people’s eyes. Even the ones which have happened so far have not been enough to make naive Western pundits and leaders see that these are the exact same issues Israel has already been facing, and to learn from Israel’s response rather than condemn it.

In the meantime, Israel will do what it has to do to protect itself, and I applaud those brave souls who are still willing to stand up for Israel on campus and among “progressive” political circles. They are prophets, crying in the wilderness, without honor in their own country.
