To begin my commentary, I must admit that I have become an
Islamophobe. My fear of Islam is based on the violence that is used by the
Islamists to justify vile conduct that emanates from their belief system that
violates everything that I believe is morally right and reverent. When I use
the word “reverent,” I define it as being “a deep respect for someone or
something,” a gesture of respect,” and conduct which involves regard or
treatment with great respect.” I see the Ten Commandments, brought to us by the
Jewish faith, as bold written evidence of the kind of reverence or morality
that was expected of the people of this world. The Commandments themselves ,
after declaring the one God concept, no idol worship, never using God’s name in
vain, with direction to keep one day every week as a day of Sabbath, commands us to honor our father and mother,
not to commit murder, nor adultery, nor
stealing, nor false witness, nor coveting thy neighbor’s person or
property. Those principles are what the people are supposed to comply with to
essentially create a society of goodness and rightness, and I will not
denigrate any religion that understands and practices reverence, but I do not
see Islam as being a belief system that has as its goal the practice of
reverence. Therefore I find commentary that actually believes that moderation
and reverent conduct can be expected of Islamic believers to be fallacious.
Islam, from my perspective, is not a practice that accepts and respects others,
not of their persuasion, which is their written and the underlying conduct of
their claim to be a godlike belief system. They promote and preach domination
and death to non-believers, especially those of Jewish persuasion, or servitude
when asked to convert and refusing to do so. They mistreat and violate female gender
by mutilation of what God has created for them, or, if you like, what mother
nature has created for them over time and evolution; they persecute all those
who accuse them of being a political belief system, not a religion, and they
refuse to allow with impunity any comments which state the reality that they
have no reverence or claim to religious propriety. Therefore, I believe to
expect any REAL moderation that would result in reverence is inane. Historical
events have established that that possibility has not happened over 1400 years
and will likely never happen.
