New York Times runs puff piece HIZBALLAH on Christmas

17

The New York Times continues recklessly to careen down a dangerous slippery slope, shilling for the most radical and extreme ideology on the planet, and whitewashing the most bloodthirsty of Jew-hating jihadis. You can almost feel their orgiastic glee at having replaced their beloved Walter Duranty’s cause of traitorous stalinism with this year’s model, the global jihad. The Leftist media knows there is a war on, and it has taken sides — against America.

“NY Times runs puff piece on Christmas in Hezbollah land; accused of humanizing terrorists,” World Israel News, December 26, 2018 (thanks to Mark):

Titled “Christmas in Lebanon: ‘Jesus isn’t only for the Christians,’” The New York Times ran an article on Monday praising this year’s Christmas celebrations in a shopping mall in Beirut, organized by the Hezbollah terror organization, an Iranian proxy.

Story continues below advertisement

At the event, complete with an enormous Christmas tree and Santa Claus, “the Iranian cultural attaché stepped up to the microphone on a stage flanked by banners bearing the faces of Iran’s two foremost religious authorities: Ayatollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, and Ayatollah Khamenei, the current supreme leader,” the Times reported.

According to the Times, “Few seasons frame the everyday give-and-take of religious coexistence quite like Christmastime in Lebanon.”

“Even Hezbollah, the Shiite political movement and militia that the United States has branded a terrorist organization, has helped ring in the season,” the report continued.

“Today, we’re celebrating the birth of Christ – and also the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution,” Mohamed Mehdi Shari’tamdar, the cultural attaché, announced into the microphone, the article said….

NYSlimes claimes there is Religious coexistence in Lebanon? … What a stunning Big Lie.

And remember Islam’s Jesus is a Mass-murderer will come to kill all Jews and Christians … He is an anti-Christ.

On Christmas eve no less.

Forgive them for they know not what they do … except that they do know what they do.

They hate Christmas – and everything normal and good.

Yes Dan, according to islam’s twist and mutilation of the truth: Jesus will return to worship the Antichrist and proclaim to the world he was lying; that he is not the Messiah or God but rather the AntiChrist is the Messiah.

Have you ever heard about the story in a Christmas Card titled, “If Christ had Not Come”? When we consider what Christmas has become in a nation who has, for the most part, turned from the God of our Founders and Framers, let us imagine life in America if our Beloved Jesus had never come to this earth he created.

“A number of years ago a remarkable Christmas card was published by the title, “If Christ Had Not Come.” It was based on these words, “If I had not come….” (John 15:22). The card pictured a minister falling asleep in his study on Christmas morning and then dreaming of a world into which Jesus had never come.

In his dream, he saw himself walking through his house, but as he looked, he saw no Christmas decorations, no Christmas tree, no wreaths, no lights, no crèche, no Christmas cards, and no Christ to comfort and gladden hearts or to save us. He then walked onto the street outside, but there was no church with its spire pointing toward heaven. And when he came back and sat down in his library, he realized that every book about our Savior had disappeared. There were no carols or Christian music on the radio and no choirs or Christmas concerts on television.

The minister dreamed that the doorbell rang and that a messenger asked him to visit a friend’s poor, dying mother. He reached her home, and as his friend sat and wept, he said, “I have something here that will comfort you.” He opened his Bible to look for a familiar promise, but it ended with Malachi. There was no Christmas story, no angelic chorus, no shepherds or Wise Men, no Sermon on the Mount, no parables, no miracles, no “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” There was no gospel, no light of the world, no “God so loved the world”, no Lord’s Prayer, and no promise of hope and salvation, and all he could do was bow his head and weep with his friend and his mother in bitter despair.

Two days later he stood beside her coffin and conducted her funeral service, but there was no message of comfort, no words of a glorious resurrection, and no thought of a mansion awaiting her in heaven. There was only “dust to dust, and ashes to ashes,” and one long, eternal farewell. Finally he realized that Christ had not come, and burst into tears, weeping bitterly in his sorrowful dream. There would be no Easter, and no hope of the kingdom of heaven and an age to come.

Then suddenly he awoke with a start, and a great shout of joy and praise burst from his lips as he heard his choir singing these words in his church nearby:

O come, all ye faithful,
joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold him,
born the King of angels,
O come let us adore him,
Christ the Lord.

Sometimes you have to go without something before you appreciate it. What if we were to have to go without Christmas, go without Christ? What if Christ had not come for us? What would our lives be like? Would Christ be missed? Would our lives go on as they are without a missing a beat, and be filled up with other interests and distractions from Christ?

How much do we take the coming of Christ for granted? What would it be like for someone for whom has not come? Someone who has never heard of the Gospel, for whom the meaning of Christmas is not the coming of Christ? What would we want to do for someone who could not celebrate Christmas because they were ignorant of it? Would we not want to share all that Christ means to us with them: his peace, his love, and his joy? Would we not want them to enjoy what we have taken for granted each year? Would we not want to invite them to join us in celebrating his coming and continual presence in our midst by His Spirit?

Let us be glad and rejoice today, because Christ has come. And let us remember the proclamation of the angel: “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”

Even unbelievers reap the benefits of a nation birthed by believers. And yet it appears that many in our nation would rather promote islam than contemplate the One True Son of God.

No I have not heard or read that one before. It is a beautiful story, and it would make a good movie – albeit we cannot cast Jimmy Stewart. …

On the other hand, I have spent many years working with Christian professionals from overseas. … and we know what it would be like if Jesus had not come. …

Without Jesus we would have nothing. We would be lucky to live in a world like ancient Rome – and I would argue that ancient Rome was created by G-d as the vehicle for Christ’s message.

Without Jesus, the Aztecs would still be painting stone pyramids with human blood. African tribes would still be warring with each other with bows, arrows, spears, and clubs. It would be horrific.

Dan, I could not agree with you more. Involved at the mission base where people from many nations flock to get a taste of Christianity before returning to nations not rooted in Christianity, their stories are heartbreaking and the toll godlessness takes on the human spirit is without measure. It seems to ring true, there being only two options: Government as god or Yahweh as God.

It is my belief that the world is quickly approaching the end of this age, in which there will be misery never before witnessed on this earth. The dark is growing darker and the light is shining brighter. Goodness will be clearly seen and understood for what it is, and evil will glare like the bright sun upon water.

Just as Yahweh used Rome to His purpose, he will use the Antichrist to His purpose also, which is to drive evil off this planet. Praise God that glorious day is coming!

Meanwhile Jesuists, atheists & others are killed in Iranian, Lebanese, Gazan & elsewhere prisons.
The only reason why the Muhammadists make propaganda appealing to Jesuists is because systemic censorship by Muhammadists made people receptive to Muhammadist propaganda. When justice suffers we must stand up & reject the lies. The truth is that Jesuists believe Jesus was unjustly crucified while unjust Muhammad commanded crucifixion of critics & proclaimed that Jesus alias Isa would return to break the cross, with cross probably symbolizing Jesuism & not the crosses meant for critics of the unjust Muhammad-law.
Furthermore Africans are enslaved in Lebanon (& Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Yemen, North-Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Mauritania (20 percent), Niger, Somalia, Nigeria & elsewhere), because of unjust Muhammad who started the global African slave-trade by saying his unproven deity had turned Africans black so the African’s descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks.
We don’t even know if Stalin wasn’t motivated by the unjust Muhammad-law from the beginning like Hitler.
I’ve read Stalin supported the Muhammad-law (Sharia) in Daghestan, rallied against criticism against the unjust Muhammadism, allegedly recited Muhammadist texts at times & I saw a photo of him wearing Muhammadist-type clothes.
We must establish the law of love & ecology worldwide & recognize & reject all attempts to push atheists & other Non-muhammadists into a sub-role where history is not taught, news not reported & the truth about unjust Muhammad & Muhammadist conquest & tyranny falsified.

Yes, it is a puff piece, but I for one find it newsworthy that Hizbollah in some fashion welcomes Christmas- frankly, I did not realize that Shiites in Lebanon have shown a fondness or Christmas for years. But the Gray Lady very tepidly dances around the context that makes it meaningful to those trying to make sense of the complex dynamics of Lebanonese politics or the wider struggle in which Lebanon is merely a pawn.

This is most of what the article has to say about the motivation behind Hizbollah’s acceptance of Christmas observances- and there certainly is not wider perspective on how Moslems deal with Christian observances.

These demonstrations of Christmas spirit seem intended, analysts said, to demonstrate Hezbollah’s inclusivity as a major political and military force in Lebanese society and to highlight its political alliances with Christian parties.

But there’s more here that the Lady won’t comment on.

Today, we’re celebrating the birth of Christ – and also the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution,…

No, you dolt (or liar), you are not celebrating Christ. You don’t have a clue about Christ. You oppress people who celebrate Christ.

Islamic Revolution equals the peaceful birth of Jesus? Seriously, no one knows history well do they?

A Christmas time Potemkin Village. I’ve met a Lebanese Christian who made no bones about why he left Lebanon — the f’ing muslums who are now running the place (either directly or through collaborating Christian tools).

Seems like the islamites and any Christians left in Lebanon should be thrashing the terrorists amongst themselves.
