Newsweek Thinks There Was Once a “Palestinian” State

Unconscionable. This shows how antisemitic the journalistic establishment media is. Was there ever a “Palestinian” state? No. It is simply a fact. No doubt Muslims inundated Newsweek with angry messages claiming there was, and Newsweek, of course, immediately caved. That comes as no surprise. The enemedia, like the UN, is out of control and increasingly unhinged in its Jew-hatred and vilification of Israel. They constantly report “Palestinian” propaganda as if it were fact, and when “Palestinian” propaganda is definitively discovered to be fabricated, they seldom retract, or bury the retraction in some inconspicuous place. This story is just one small example of a much larger problem.

“Newsweek Thinks There Was Once a Palestinian State,” by Elder of Ziyon, Algemeiner, December 3, 2018 (thanks to Mark):

Here is a very odd correction from Newsweek about an article on the Marc Lamont Hill story. I wish I could find a copy of the original:

Updated 11/30 12:14 a.m.: This story has been updated to remove information that includes an error that says no Palestinian state has ever existed.

So Newsweek retracted the fact that no Palestinian state has ever existed? Here is the paragraph that was deleted:

When challenged about the comment on Twitter, Hill responded to say that he believes in a “single secular democratic state for everyone.” [At this point Newsweek has a tweet from Hill where he adds, "This is the only way that historic Palestine will be free.”] However, Hill’s statement about a “historic Palestine” appears to be inaccurate as no Palestinian state has ever existed.

Newsweek was quite accurate. “Historic Palestine” is a fiction that modern Palestinians use to refer to the area of the British Mandate; it was never an independent state, and its borders were drawn by Western powers. There was nothing historic about it. Any map of Palestine prior to World War I includes parts of what became Jordan and Lebanon, and none of the Negev.

Marc Lamont Hill, by invoking the term “historic Palestine,” is consciously choosing a false construct. The very term “historic Palestine” has nothing to do with Palestine or Palestinian land, and everything to do with taking away any rights of Jews to any land in the Middle East. Quite simply, it is an antisemitic term….

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
