A German Muslima first left Germany in August 2014 and traveled to Iraq to she joined the Islamic State. She worked for Islamic vice, the group’s self-styled morality police, where she would patrol the city parks of the Isis-occupied cities of Falluja and Mosul.
The 27-year-old German citizen and her husband purchased the child as a household “slave” when living in then Isis-occupied Mosul in northern Iraq.
“After the girl fell ill and wet her mattress, the husband of the accused chained her up outside as punishment and let the child die of thirst in the scorching heat,” they said in a statement. “The accused allowed her husband to do so and did nothing to save the girl.”

Slavery is sanctioned in Islam.
The Muslim prophet Muhammad owned slaves, and like the Bible, the Qur’an takes the existence of slavery for granted, even as it enjoins the freeing of slaves under certain circumstances, such as the breaking of an oath: “Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom” (5:89). Jihad theorist Sayyid Qutb adduces this as evidence that in Islam “there is no difference between a prince and a pauper, a seigneur and a slave.” Nevertheless, while the freeing of a slave or two here and there is encouraged, the institution itself is never questioned. The Qur’an even gives a man permission to have sexual relations with his slave girls as well as with his wives: “The believers must (eventually) win through, those who humble themselves in their prayers; who avoid vain talk; who are active in deeds of charity; who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess, for (in their case) they are free from blame” (23:1-6). A Muslim is not to have sexual relations with a woman who is married to someone else¯except a slave girl: “And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. A German female member of Islamic State is facing war crimes charges in her home country for letting a five-year-old girl die of thirst in the scorching sun.
The 27-year-old German citizen identified only as Jennifer W and her husband purchased the child as a household “slave” when living in then Isis-occupied Mosul in northern Iraq in 2015, German prosecutors said on Friday.
“After the girl fell ill and wet her mattress, the husband of the accused chained her up outside as punishment and let the child die of thirst in the scorching heat,” they said in a statement. “The accused allowed her husband to do so and did nothing to save the girl.”
The federal prosecutors said they had laid the charges of war crimes, murder and weapons offences on 14 December in a Munich court that deals with state security and terrorism cases.
W had first left Germany in August 2014 and travelled via Turkey and Syria to Iraq where she joined Isis the following month. Recruited to a vice squad of the group’s self-styled morality police, she would patrol the city parks of the Isis-occupied cities of Falluja and Mosul.
“Her task was to ensure that women comply with the behavioural and clothing regulations established by the terrorist organisation,” said the statement. For intimidation, the accused carried an assault rifle of the type Kalashnikov, a pistol and an explosives vest.”
W visited the German embassy in Ankara to apply for new identity papers in January 2016, months after the child’s death. Turkish security services arrested her when she left the mission and and she was extradited to Germany a few days later.
For lack of actionable evidence against her, she was initially allowed to return to her home in the state of Lower Saxony. “Since then her declared goal has been to return to the territory under Islamic State rule,” said the prosecutors. When she attempted to again travel to Syria in June, German police arrested her.
No date has been set yet for the start of the trial. If found guilty, she would face a life sentence.

This was in Mosul. When Isis had taken many Christians and minorities as slaves. So her parents could have been enslaved or dead at the time.

This topic is a lot more complicated than I first thought. To be clear concerning this barbaric incident, the two “adults” allowed this child to die a slow agonizing death and should likewise be sentenced for their crime (wishful thinking, I know).
However the topic of slavery, while thankfully abhorred today, is as Robert Spencer referenced in his commentary above, “…and like the Bible, the Qur’an takes the existence of slavery for granted”, with some explanation.
Slavery goes back a long ways. The Books of Exodus and Leviticus (25:44, in particular) spells out the laws concerning the purchase and owning of slaves. This doesn’t necessarily mean that a slave trade existed with slave traders profiting from such a business. The scriptures are clear concerning the kidnapping of people – kidnappers were deemed an evil and were to be killed (at least in OT times). This is evident in both the Old And New Testaments ( Exodus 21:16,1 Tim.1: 9,10 ), and differs markedly from the practice Mohammed instituted and continues today. It is possible that in OT times, the purchasing of slaves from surrounding tribes was more of an agreement with family members (parents).
The New Testament scriptures never advocated the taking of slaves under any conditions. There are references to slaves and their masters in terms of conduct for both, but the focus seems to be on not using “Christianity” as a reason to seek freedom. The slave trade that stemmed out of Africa, would never have been endorsed by either Old or New Testament scriptures as these would have clearly utilized kidnapping, a forbidden evil practice in the eyes of God.
I hope this is helpful, as Spencer almost seemed to be lumping the Bible and the Qur’an together, and clearly they are not at all similar.

With a statement like this, Robert Spencer shows himself to be a tendentious, disingenuous person. Nobody ever suggested that Kashoggi’s only source of income came from the Post. Moreover, as Spencer is well aware, it is common for contributors to newspapers to have other sources of income.
From personal experience, I know him to be a liar who is more concerned with his own image than with facts, and willing to resort deceptive means to maintain that image. Robert Spencer should not be in a leadership position in the counter-jihad movement.

Exactly what I’m thinking? How the hell did they manage to go to German embassy in Turkey and be allowed back in to Germany after what allegedly happened? I would very much like to be proved wrong by the federal German authorities over that females fate, but when you look at the composition of their parliament together with the excuses the politicians, courts and media make for their muslim residents, I wonder how long she will serve inside and how comfortable she can expect to be.
Having all the opportunity to rescue a young child, shelter her, feed her and love her while you search for her family could have been that terrorists first option as a woman and human being, however, it seems her blood danced to other music.
Civility or compassion invested in her future is offensive, think about the misery and suffering in that little child she caused.

Why is this labelled a ‘war crime’? It was not done in the process of making war, it was simple inhumanity towards a helpless child they should have cared for. People have starved kids to death in many places and it was not called war crime. The woman probably did a lot of bad things during her time as morality police which would be war crimes as done in support of ISIS

My biggest phobia is dehydration, I got, water containers, water bottles and water filters all over my home. When the police raided my home they thought I was running a “laboratory” (also all the lights in my home were red to help me sleep); the police eventually figured out that I was nuts about water and red lights. When the police finished searching my home they asked for a drink, I said I only have water, they said okay they will each have a glass water, so I ask which water (I have 3 diiferent types of water and explained the differences), they said (wide-eyed) never mind and left.

I think my nosy neighbor saw my red lights in the kitchen and thought I was operating a meth lab, and so reported me to the police. There are “plenty” of “meth labs” in my town but the police “leave them alone” because they pay their “sin taxes” / “jizya”.

Hate to mention this cause i will get a lot of heartache but the 5 yr old’s soul entered into a contract of her own free will before she was born with the other soul. One playing the victim, the other playing the perpetrator. The majority do not “remember” when we entered the veil and purposefully forgot why we came here and for what lessons and this is by design. While from our perspective this was a cruel act we cannot possibily comprehend that this was part of a lesson on both parties. On this plane of existence a hideous crime was done but in the spiritual plane no wrong was done. Noone’s free will was taken away. We all come here to play the game and in this case the game is about drama victimhood. To us here its real but once this incarnation is over and you awake you will understand better. Everyone is here to play the game being a Victim–Rescuer– or a Perpetrator. Most of us jump from one aspect to another. Once you learn from each…truly learn, you stop playing the game as i have. You see deeds done to others in a different light. You see two souls acting out a “play” that was scripted before they were born whether it was to live the experience or to burn off Karma. Look up the FREE e-book “The Ascension Papers” book 1 to learn more but don’t read this for idle curiosity for it may ruin your current outlook on life.
